요각속도 추정을 위한 새로운 차량 모델의 개발 (A Development of New Vehicle Model for Yaw Rate Estimation)

  • Vehicle dynamics control (VDC) system requires more information on driving conditions compared with ABS and/or TCS. In order to develop the VDC system, tire slip angles, vehicle side-slip angle, and vehicle lateral velocity as well as road friction coefficient are needed. Since there are not any cheap and reliable sensors, recent researches on parameter estimation have given rise to a number of parameter estimation techniques. This paper presents new vehicle model to estimate vehicle's yaw rate. This model is improved from the conventional 2 degrees of freedom vehicle model, so-called bicycle model, taking nonlinear effects into account. These nonlinear effects are: (i) tyre nonlinearity; (ii) lateral load transfer during cornering; (iii) variable gear ratio with respect to vehicle velocity. Estimation results are validated with the experimental results.

후륜 조향 동력학 모델 및 제어 로직 개발 (Development of the Dynamic Model and Control Logic for the Rear Wheel Steering in 4WS Vehicle)

  • In the turning maneuver of the vehicle, its motion is mainly dependent on the genuine steering characteristics in view of the directional stability for stable turning ability. The under steer vehicle has an ability to maintain its own directonal performance for unknown external disturbances to some extent. From a few years ago, in order to acquire the more enhanced handling performance, some types of four wheel steering vehicle were considered and constructed. And, various rear wheel control logics for external disturbances has not been suggested. For this reason, in this posed rear wheel control logic is based on the yaw rate feed back type and is slightly modified by an yaw rate tuning factor for more stable turning performance. And an external disturbance is defined as a motivation of the additional yaw rate in the center of gravity by an uncertain input. In this study, an external disturbance is applied to the vehicle as a form of the additional yawing moment. Finally, the proposed rear wheel control logic is tested on the multi-body analysis software(ADAMS). J-turn and double lane change test are performed for the validation of the control logic.

유동속도계측을 위한 5공압력프로브의 새로운 교정 알고리듬 (A New Calibration Algorithm of a Five-Hole Pressure Probe for Flow Velocity Measurement)

  • This paper investigated the new calibration algorithm of a straight-type five-hole pressure probe necessary for calculating three-dimensional flow velocity components. The new data reduction method Includes a look-up, a geometry transformation such as the translation and reflection of nodes, and a binary search algorithm. This new calibration map was applied up to the application angle, ${\pm}55^{\circ}$ of a probe. As a result, this data reduction method showed a perfect performance without any kind of interpolation errors In calculating yaw and pitch angle from the calibration map.

  • 소형 무인항공기 추진용 덕티드 팬의 실험적 연구가 수행되었다. 이 논문에서는 덕티드 팬의 입구, 로터 뒤, 스테이터 뒤에서 허브에서 팁 방향으로 $45^{\circ}$ 경사 열선으로 측정하여 비정상 3차원 유동 특성을 연구하였다. 경사열선 요각을 고정시켜 데이터를 획득하였다. 이 데이터는 위상평균기법을 이용하여 평균되었다. 이 데이터는 Newton-Rhapson 수치해법을 통하여 3개의 비선형 연립방정식을 풀었다. 축 방향, 반경 방향 그리고 원주 방향 속도의 윤곽을 통해 팁 후류, 이차유동 그리고 팁 누설유동과 같은 유동 특성을 확인 하였다.

직선형 5공 압력프로브를 이용한 3차원 유동속도 계측시스템 개발 (Measurement System Development for Three-Dimensional Flow Velocity Components Using Straight-Type Five-Hole Pressure Probe)

  • This paper shows the development process of a straight-type five-hole pressure probe for measuring three-dimensional flow velocity components. The data reduction method using a bi-cubic curve-fitting program in a new calibration map was introduced in this study. This new calibration map can be applied up to the application angle, ${\pm}55^{\circ}$ of a probe. As a result, for the application angle of ${\pm}45^{\circ}$, an error for yaw and pitch angles appeared from $-1.76^{\circ}\;to\;1.83^{\circ}$ and from $-1.91^{\circ}\;to\;1.75^{\circ}$, respectively. Moreover, an error for a vector magnitude and a static pressure compared with a dynamic one showed from -7.83% to 4.87% and from -0.73 to 0.77, respectively. Even though this data reduction method showed unsatisfactory errors in a vector magnitude, it resulted in an easy and simple application method. Especially, when it was applied to an actual flow field including a swirling flow, a good result came out on the whole. However, in order to obtain a better result, it is thought that a more sophisticated interpolation method needs to be introduced.

멀티콥터 풍동시험 (Multi-copter Wind-tunnel Test)

  • 한국항공우주연구원(KARI)이 보유하고 있는 개방형 풍동에서 최대이륙중량 28 kg급 옥터콥터(octocopter)를 시험모델로 상승 하강기류, 측풍, 전단류와 같은 악기상에 대한 대처 능력을 향상 시키고 와류고리상태(VRS)와 같은 공기역학적 현상을 규명하여 와류고리상태(VRS) 진입 예방 및 탈출할 수 있는 기술들을 연구하고자 풍동시험을 수행하였다. 소형무인기 풍동시험은 풍속 3.5, 5, 7 m/sec, 회전수 3,500, 4,500, 5,550rpm 조건에서 받음각 $-40^{\circ}{\sim}+20^{\circ}$ 도, ${\pm}90^{\circ}$ 도, 요각 $0^{\circ}$ 도와 $45^{\circ}$ 도로 변화시켜가며 6분력을 측정하여 공력 DB를 작성하였다. 멀티콥터 수직 하강 시험 시 하강속도 6 m/sec에서 와류고리상태의 최고점(VRS peak)이 나타나고, 이 때 약 13 % 정도의 추력감소가 나타났다. 프로펠러 및 동체 상호 간섭에 의한 성능저하 여부를 판단하기 위해 프로펠러 조합을 변화시켜가며 시험을 수행한 결과 단일 프로펠러 대비 최대 15 % 정도의 성능 저하가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이번 시험으로 확보한 자료들은 소형무인기 운용 시 경험하게 되는 악기상에 대처하여 안전성과 생존성을 증대시키기 위한 기술개발 기초자료로 활용될 예정이다.
