Separation Analysis of a Store with Deployable Wings (날개 전개가 가능한 무장의 분리 특성해석)

  • 6-DOF simulation program is developed in order to increase the efficiency of the store separation analysis. This S/W is much faster than a method based on CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology, and allows the simulation of stores with fixed shape as well as with extensible wings, because it uses aerodynamic databases which are prepared beforehand. In this paper, aerodynamic databases of stores are obtained with MSAP(Multi-body Separation Analysis Program), and unsteady damping coefficients are modeled with Missile Datcom. These databases and the 6-DOF simulation program are used to predict the trajectory of an external store, while its wings are being deployed. The analysis results indicate that the safe separations of the store can be achieved not only with the wing fixed but with the wings being deployed.

  • 본 논문에서는 군 주둔지의 전원공급을 위한 이동형 ESS 시스템에 대해서 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 군 주둔지와 같이 외부 소음 및 열에 민감한 시스템에서 디젤발전기를 대체하기 위하여 설계되었으며, 배터리 팩, BMS(Battery Management System), EMS(Energy Management System), PCS(Power Conditioning System), PMS(Power Management System), 구조물 그리고 차량체계로 구성된 시스템을 소개한다. 그리고 실험결과에서는 260kWh급의 이동형 ESS의 실차에 장착된 결과를 제시한다.

  • Modern aircraft are required to carry various external stores mounted at different locations on the wing. Sometimes the attachment of stores to an aircraft wing leads to flutter speed reduction, which is a very severe aeroelastic problem. In order to suppress structural vibration and expand the flutter boundary of the aircraft with stores, it is necessary to investigate the main problems and characteristics of them. In addition, active vibration control may be required because passive vibration isolators show limited capabilities for the various wing/store configuration. In this paper, therefore, the flutter stability to the various wing/store configurations was investigated and active vibration control of wing/store model was performed using a piezoelectric actuator.

Static Test and Analysis of Wing Support Structure for External Stores (외부장착물지지 주익구조 정적 시험 및 해석)

  • Armed aircraft of a basic trainer class installs external stores under wing box by using pylon and performs an operation such as weapon delivery and jettison, and should be designed to withstand all kinds of loads applied to external stores. The static strength test of pylons and wing box was performed to assess the static strength of pylon and their support structures for substantiation. Based on the test, the structures were verified to fully satisfy a given design requirement. In this paper, methods of test load generation of wing box and pylon, evaluation of test result data and design result of test set-up were presented. Comparing the FEM analysis with the same test data can lead to good match and reasonable deviation between both. Finally, based on the test and the analysis, the static strength of test article was substantiated and the reliability and effectiveness of analysis math model were obtained.

  • The load requirements should be known to design mechanical structure. This paper proposes a generation method of load requirements using U.S. military specification to design the external mounting structure of the helicopters of which the flight environments such as aerodynamic forces and inertia forces are unknown. In this study, the load requirements which were applied at the design of the pod structure for helicopter captive flight test could be computed by using this method. The validation of proposed method was confirmed from the test flight using developed pod system.

고밀도 알루미늄 박막 코팅과 특성 분석

  • 알루미늄과 그 합금은 내부식성(corrosion resistance)이 좋고, 밀도가 낮아 높은 연료소비 효율을 필요로 하는 항공기와 자동차 같은 운송수단의 내-외장 소재로 사용되고 있다. 또한 알루미늄의 높은 내부식성을 이용하여 철강소재의 부식을 방지하는 보호막으로도 폭 넓게 사용된다. 물리기상증착(physical vapor deposition)으로 알루미늄을 코팅하면 박막 성장 초기단계에서 핵(nucleus)을 형성하고, 형성된 핵을 중심으로 주상 구조(columnar structure)로 박막이 성장하는 것이 일반적으로 알려진 방식이다. 주상 구조의 알루미늄 박막은 주상정과 주상정 사이에 필연적으로 공극(pore)이 존재하게 되어 부식을 일으키는 물질이 박막으로 침투하게 되고, 부식 물질과 모재가 반응하여 공식(pitting corrosion)이 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 스퍼터링(magnetron sputtering)을 이용하여 치밀한 조직을 갖는 알루미늄 박막을 코팅할 수 있는 공정을 개발하고, 치밀한 알루미늄 조직이 내부식성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 평가하였다. 기판은 냉연강판(cold rolled steel sheet)이 사용되었으며, 알루미늄 타겟의 순도는 99.999%, 크기는 직경 4"이었다. 냉연강판은 진공용기(vacuum chamber)에 장착하기 전에 계면활성제를 이용하여 표면에 존재하는 기름성분을 제거하였으며, 진공용기에 장착한 후에는 아르곤 가스를 이용하여 발생시킨 글로우 방전으로 표면에 존재하는 산화물을 제거하였다. 알루미늄 박막의 조직에 영향을 미치는 공정변수를 확인하기 위해서 스퍼터링 파워, 공정 온도, 공정 압력, 외부 자기장 세기 등의 공정 조건을 변화시켜 코팅을 실시하였다. 실험을 통해서 얻어진 최적 조건으로 알루미늄을 코팅할 경우, 알루미늄 bulk의 밀도와 비교하여 약 94.7%의 밀도를 갖는 알루미늄 박막을 코팅할 수 있었다. 알루미늄 박막이 약 3 ${\mu}$m의 두께로 코팅된 냉연강판의 내부식성 평가(salt spray test, 5% NaCl) 결과, 평가를 시작한 후 72시간 후에도 적청이 발생하지 않았다.

Static Aeroelastic Analysis for Aircraft Wings using CFD/CST Coupling Methodology (전산유체/전산구조 연계 방법을 사용한 항공기날개의 정적 공탄성 해석)

  • A static aeroelastic analysis for supersonic aircraft wing equipped with external store under the wing lower surface is performed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and computational structural technology(CST) coupling methodology. Two mapping algorithms, which are the pressure mapping algorithm and the displacement mapping algorithm, are used for CFD/CST coupling. A three-dimensional unstructured Euler code and finite element analysis program are used to calculate the flow properties and the structural displacements, respectively. The coupling procedure is repeated in an iterative manner until a specified convergence criterion is satisfied. Static aeroelastic analysis for a typical supersonic flight wing is performed and final converged wing configuration is obtained after several iterations.

Development of Dot Sight with 2× Magnification (2× 배율 도트사이트 장치의 개발)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is developing the dot sight with a $2{\times}$ magnification. Methods: To magnify the target when we see the far through the non-magnified dot sight, we develop the new optical device which is detachable to the non-magnified dot sight. A new optical device is designed to facilitate the transition of an existing non-magnification ($1{\times}$) dot sight to the $2{\times}$ magnification dot sight. Results: We could design and fabricate the $2{\times}$ afocal optical system which is detachable to the non-magnified dot sight and be composed by a pair of doublet. When the system developed in this study was used, we could aim the external target by twice magnification, so we could further improve the accuracy of aim. Conclusions: We could design and manufacture the $2{\times}$ afocal optical system which can be detachable to the non-magnified dot sight. With the results, we could aim the external target by twice magnification, so we could further improve the accuracy of aim.

  • As the number of high - rise buildings has increased recently, this research society has become interested in the method of cleaning the external wall required. When cleaning these areas, an accident occurs every year when a person uses dangerous manual labor using a gondola. The main goal of this work is to enable people to manipulate the robot with simple operation without dangerous manual operation when working in a vertical structure. As the altitude increases, the concept of the mechanism attaching to the vertical structure while enduring the external resistance in the increase of the wind strength is applied, and the additional attachment device is attached to the end of the leg based on the existing four- According to the control, the development result of the robot having the function of detachable to the glass is presented.

  • With the proliferation of vehicles and advancement of Information Technology, the technology of Telematics, which provides valuable services to people by collecting and analyzing the information from drivers, vehicles and Telematics environments (e.g. traffic information, road condition, weather information, etc.), has been a hot research area in IT and automotive recently. As the information technology revolution brings more and more assistance for driver information processing becomes increasing important. Therefore, drivers' workload is very essential factor for safety driving in Telematics environment. For managing drivers' workload effectively, ETRI haven been developing vehicle and driver management system which can collect data from drivers and vehicle in realtime and analyze the data to manage drivers' and vehcles' status since 2007. This technology will apply to commercial vehicle telematics such as texi or truck management system in the future for increasing driving safety. In this presentation, I would like to explain what we had developed so far and discuss future direction.
