  • In order to commercialize technology, Korea is continuously fostering specialized institutions for technology transfer/commercialization, and it is composed in various forms. However, there are limited studies on corporate performance according to the type of technology transfer/commercialization specialized institution and the type of support. This study aims to measure the combined utilization performance and performance of companies that have adopted the technology by classifying the types of technology transfer/commercialization specialized institutions. To this end, a study was conducted on 380 companies that promoted the introduction and use of external technologies. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the more the combined use of technology transfer/commercialization specialized institutions has a positive effect on corporate performance, and has different effects on corporate performance depending on the items of external technology introduction. In addition, it was found that the earlier the industrial growth stage is, the higher the corporate performance. Through this study, implications of strategies for the use of specialized organizations for technology transfer and commercialization and introduction of external technologies of the company were presented at the corporate level.

  • This study aimed to examine the influence of physical environment, microclimate, and comfort on sustaining outdoor activities. This study has identified the main factors that influence sustaining outdoor activities as physical environment, comfort in the physical environment, microclimate and microclimate comfort. For analysis, the study conducted the investigation on pedestrian walkability during spring, summer and winter of the year 2017. The microclimate levels were also recorded at the same time. The method of logit regression analysis was used to analyze these outcomes. The result showed that the comfort and safety of the physical environment as well as the ideal climatic conditions, in terms of temperature, wind level, and solar insolation, were related to sustaining outdoor activities. Also, walking and shopping in the physical and climatic environment were the factors that were found to be more influenced than the act of remaining in a place and forming conversations.

  • This paper investigates the moderating effect of firm size on the relationship between environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems fit and performance, and suggests logistics strategies that would help to achieve goals. Based on our empirical research results, the findings of this paper can be summarized as follows: First, firms with higher levels of harmony between environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems fit featured significantly better logistics performance than firms with lower levels of fit. Second, logistical performance can be maximized based on the firm size and the harmonization between environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems. The results of this study will assist firms align and focus on improving competitive strategies for logistics systems.

  • Because small and medium-sized businesses lack capabilities and resources, they must effectively procure, share, and utilize scarce resources from outside, and as a result, the importance of networks with external organizations is gradually increasing. In this study, we verified the influence of small and medium-sized enterprises' network capabilities and network characteristics on market performance and financial performance. As a result of testing the hypothesis through a structural equation model, network capabilities were found to have a significant partial impact on financial performance, and all sub-factors of network characteristics such as strength, size, and diversity were found to affect financial performance. Additionally, network capabilities and network characteristics were found to have a significant partial effect on market performance. Market performance was found to have a partial mediating effect in the relationship between network capabilities and financial performance, and a partial mediating effect in the relationship between network characteristics and financial performance. Unlike previous studies, this study simultaneously analyzed the impact of two factors, network capabilities and network characteristics, on corporate performance and presented a new research perspective by analyzing the mediating effect of market performance, which is recognized as a leading factor in financial performance.

  • In modern dynamic management environment, there is growing recognition that information & knowledge management systems are essential for CEO's efficient/effective decision making. As a key component to cope with this current, we suggest the management performance data-mining system based on IT(Information Technology). This system measures management performance that is considered with both VA(Value-Added), which represents stakeholder's point of view and EVA(Economic Value-Added), which represents shareholder's point of view. The relationship between management performance and 85 financial ratios is analyzed, and then important financial ratios are drawn out. In analyzing the relationship, we applied the explanation-based Gas(Genetic Algorithms) that consider predictability, understanability (lucidity) and reasonability factors simultaneously. To demonstrate the performance of the system, we conducted a case study using financial data over the 16-years from 1981 to 1996 of Korean automobile industry which is taken from database of KISFAS(Korea Investors Services Financial Analysis System).

  • The purpose of this study sought to analyze the achievement of educational training of IS-Geo's (International School for Geoscience Resources; IS-Geo's) according to the structural relationships between these components by incorporating variables and those that affect learning outcomes from the Learning ecological perspective. Therefore, from January 2014 to December 2015, data analysis was conducted based on the data collected by the questionnaire for class satisfaction, which was conducted after the operation of the educational training program. The principal result is as follows. First of all, Interventions that affect learning outcomes from the learning ecology perspective have resulted in internal factors of both learning motivation and learning development, intermediate factors of both contents of education and learning curriculum, external factors of both learner support and quality of instructors. The structural relationships between the designed factors of performance indicators of interdisciplinary achievement and sub-factors have been influenced in the structural implications of internal factors, intermediate factors, and external factors that affect the learning outcomes of educational trainees who participated in the educational training programs of IS-Geo's. Also, internal factors, intermediate factors, and external factors have directly affected learning outcomes for educational trainees.

  • The goal of supply chain integration is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain in order to deliver customer value. So, the fit of between supply chain integration strategy and customer value strategy is very important. Therefore, this study explores the different types of relationship between supply chain integration and customer value, as well as in the firm performances. Cluster analysis is used to develop the typology of supply chain integration, and five typology (High Internal Oriented Integration, Medium Oriented Internal Integration, High Supply Chain Integration, High Customer Oriented Integration, Medium Oriented External Integration) are identified. Analysis of variance is used to test the relationship between supply chain integration typology and customer value, and firm performances. The results show that there are statistically significant differences in customer value and firm performances.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing performance of internal, external environment and entrepreneurship in the social enterprise with network activity. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to performance of social enterprise, internal, external environment, entrepreneurship and network activity. The proposed model is analyzed to target social entrepreneurs. The results of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, organizational culture positively influence entrepreneurship. Second, environmental uncertainty positively influence entrepreneurship. Third, entrepreneurship positively influence managerial and social performance. Finally, organizational culture to entrepreneurship for high group of network activity is significantly larger than those for low group of network activity. In addition, environmental uncertainty to entrepreneurship for low group of network activity is significantly larger than those for high group of network activity.
