The Purpose of this study is to suggest usefulness of design review for new products development in business administration and quality control. DR(Design Review) is systematic activities for good design quality. It is application to whole product life cycle. Some examples of their applied are presented.

The effects of the ice pack and aluminum coated board in the corrugated boxes for maintaining the quality of fresh oriental melons (Cucumis melo var. makuwa) were investigated. The harvested oriental melons were stored at a temperature of $30^{\circ}C$ for 21 days after placing them in the corrugated boxes treated with control, including ice pack and aluminum coated board. The treatment with the ice pack and aluminum coated board was identified to have maintained the relative low temperature in the corrugated box against the high temperature from the environment. For the storage study of the oriental melon, the treatments with the ice pack and aluminum coated board reduced the respiration rate, the development of external color, and total weight loss. All treatments were also effective in maintaining the firmness and decreasing the decay ratio of the oriental melon as compared to those that were controlled. However, the value of total soluble solids regarding the fruit was insignificantly affected by the ice pack treatment. The results indicated that the application of the ice pack and aluminum coated board in the corrugated box played an important role in maintaining the quality of oriental melons during storage. The combination with the ice pack and aluminum coated board had more effective values on the storage qualities for oriental melons than that with the ice pack only. Based on the results of this study, the ice pack and aluminum coated board were the useful treatments for reducing the loss of quality of the fresh oriental melons in high temperature storage conditions.

Milled rice was subjected to check the eating quality of rice at various conditions of packaging with haft paper(packaging material made of paper), PE and yellow loess in the ambient conditions($18{\sim}25^{\circ}C$, $18{\sim}34%RH$. Rice packed with yellow loess was shown higher eating quality and less changes in the content of moisture loss and free fatty acid than control(kraft paper, PE). Eventually, yellow loess packaging showed a better performance in the rice storage than kraft paper and PE.

In this paper, to evaluate the output quality of the cementitious composite mixture for printing with the ME method for construction 3D printer, visual inspection of the output appearance and the dimensional error rate, compressive strength and flexural strength of the output were measured. As a result of the test, the mixing design with excellent output appearance was P1-2, P1-4, P2-5, P2-6, and the mixing design with good output appearance was P0-1, P1-1, P1-3, P1-6, P1-7 and P2-4. Of these mixing designs, P0-1 and P2-6 had the lowest dimensional error rates As a result of evaluating the compressive strength and flexural strength of the various mixing designs, the Mixing design with excellent output designs showed good mechnical properties. However, mixing designs with excellent mechanical properties does not necessarily have excellent output quality. Therefore, in order to accurately evaluate the output quality, it is judged that visual inspection and dimensional error rate inspection should be performed first, and then the mechanical characteristics should be reviewed.

돈육은 상업적 조사가 허용되어 있는 대표적 식품으로 FDA는 신선육과 냉동육의 최대조사량을 각각 4.5 kGy, 7 kGy로 규정하고 있다. 돈육에 방사선을 조사하면 수분이 이온화되어 생성된 자유 라디칼이 돈육성분과 반응하게 되어 돈육의 외관, 텍스쳐 등에 변화를 일으킨다. 돈육의 색깔, 냄새 등은 신선 돈육의 구매여부를 결정하는 중요한 특성으로 방사선 조사에 의한 육류의 품질 특성 변화는 조사 돈육의 소비에 많은 영향을 미칠 것으로 생각된다. (중략)

본 연구에서는 대학급식소의 성공적인 운영과 소비자들의 만족도를 향상시키기 위하여 서울지역의 5개 대학교에 재학중인 남녀 대학생 500명을 대상으로 대학급식소의 음식에 대한 중요도와 수행도, 서비스에 대한 기대도와 인식도를 5점척도로 측정하였다. 음식의 품질에 대한 중요도는 ‘음식의 맛’이 4.39로 가장 높았고 ‘가격’(4.21), ‘음식의 간’(4.17), ‘메뉴의 다양성’(4.14), ‘음식의 온도’(3.96), ‘음식의 양’(3.81), ‘음식의 외관’(3.61)순으로 나타났다. (중략)

화력발전소 보일러 배관은 복합한 형상과 다양한 형태로 용접되어 발전소 외관을 감싸고 있다. 발전소 운전에 필수적인 부분을 차지하기 때문에 주기적으로 발전소 점검기간에 모든 용접부위를 검사하여 품질 이상 부분에 대해서는 교체 작업 및 보수 작업을 수행해야한다. 지금까지는 작업자를 통한 검사이다보니 부정확성과 반복 결과가 유지되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 방사선 투과 검사모듈을 장착한 자동화 검사 플랫폼을 제안한다.
