Cation Exchange in Zeolites from the Guryong Mine (국내산 불석광물의 이온치환 특성 연구)

  • 경북 구룡포에 소재한 구룡광산에서 산출하는 불석(클리놉틸로라이트와 모데나이트의 집합체)에 대한 Pb2+, Cd2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Fe2+ 및 NH4+ 등 양이온의 치환성질을 알아보기 위하여 베치실험을 실시하였다. 60∼80 메쉬 및 230 메쉬의 시료를 사용하여 각각 50ppm의 농도를 가진 용액과 반응시켰다. 반응후의 용액은 AA 및 전극 (NH4+)으로 분석하여 치환양을 측정하였다. 본 연구결과 Pb2+와 NH4+가 다른 이온들보다 훨씬 높은 선택성을 보여 주었다. 불석에 대한 이온들의 선택성은 NH4+, Pb2+》Zn2+, Cu2-, Co2->Cd2-, Fe2+와 같다. 실험결과 불석시료가 용액으로부터 흡착한 양이 시료로부터 용액으로 추출된 양보다 훨씬 높게 나타나고 있는 바 이는 이온치환보다는 불석의 시브(sieve) 효과에 의한 이온흡착현상이 우세하게 일어났다는 것을 지시해준다. 본 실험은 이 불석이 중금속과 암모니아와 같은 오염물을 제거하는데 사용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • 본 논문은 2차원 이미지상에서 사용자 의도에 따른 에지를 효과적으로 찾기 위한 다양한 알고리즘 (인공 가위 기법, 라이브 와이어 기법, 라이브 레인 기법, 인헨스드레인 기법)들을 3 차윈 삼각형 매쉬상에서 기하학적 특정을 추출하기 위해 적용할 때 주요하게 고려해야 할 사항을 논의하고 이들 사항을 고려한 수정된 알고리즘들을 제안한다. 제안된 이들 알고리즘들을 사용하여 주어진 3차원 삼각형 메쉬상의 기하학적 특정을 사용자 의도대로 찾은 결과를 가시적으로 보여준다.

  • To alleviate the vibration problem or to satisfy the required criteria for manifesting the guaranteed performance of precise equipment, various vibration isolation materials or apparatus, such as viscoelastic material, air and coil spring, have been developed and applied. Among them, a wire mesh material is regarded as one of the good candidate for reducing the vibration in terms of moderate material price, easy shape machining and long life cycle without the property deterioration induced by the aging or environmental effects. In this paper, prior to wire mesh isolator design, the static and dynamic elastic modulus of wire mesh materials are extracted from the experiment by the simple shaped cylindrical specimens and their characteristics for applying to vibration isolator design are examined. The simple shaped specimens were made as considering the design parameters of a wire mesh mount; i.e. the density, wire diameter and wire mesh slope, and the sensitivity analysis were also performed from a view point of the extracted elastic modulus.

Performance Analysis of Available Superframe Size and Device Discovery Time for Multi-hop Communications in IEEE 802.15.3 High-rate WPAN Mesh Network (IEEE 802.15.3 고속 WPAN 메쉬 네트워크의 멀티-홉 통신을 위한 가용 슈퍼프레임 크기와 디바이스 탐색 성능 분석)

  • The IEEE 802.15.3 high-rate WPAN has been developed to communicate with devices within l0m. A piconet consists of one Piconet Coordinator (PNC) and several devices. The devices associated with a parent piconet can become child PNCs in order to form child piconets. A mesh network made up of a parent piconet and several child piconets can support multi-hop communications. In this paper, we analyze the maximum level and the avaliable superframe size to make the best use of bandwidth for multi-hop communications, and compare the analysis with the simulation results in terms of time to discover devices for multi-hop communications. The average number of levels in mesh networks is shown to be about 1.9 when the number of devices increases within a fixed area. We have also shown that the maximum available superframe size is 52ms and the discovery time is approximately 155ms.

Experimental Study on Flexural Capacity of Precast Steel Mesh Reinforced Mortar Panel (프리캐스트 스틸메쉬 보강 모르타르 패널의 휨 성능에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Recently, researches related to precast modular construction have been actively conducted for nuclear power plant, LNG gas tank, and small-medium PCCV as well as bridges and buildings. In this study, the precast panel cast with steel mesh reinforced mortar (SRM) which is similar reinforced ferrocement was developed for efficient precast construction, construction time reduction, and easy transportation. Mortar mixture with high strength and flowability was obtained from various case studies using silica fume and GGBS. Also, $1,200{\times}600{\times}150mm$ SRM and reinforced concrete (RC) panels were manufactured with reinforcing ratio of 2% and 4%. To verify structural performance of the SRM specimen, the basic material tests, free shrinkage test, and 3-point flexural test with a line loading were carried out. From the test results, it was determined that SRM specimens showed outstanding flexural capacity and ductility. However, the 4% reinforced SRM specimens must consider shear reinforcing to be used as a precast modular member.

  • Wireless mesh networks, unlike Ad-hoc network, has low mobility and multi-path communication between terminals and other networks because it has the backbone structures. Most studies are advanced on finding the optimal routing path in multi-hop wireless mesh network environment. Various routing metric, minimum number of hops(Hop_count) and ETX, ETT metric, are proposed to wireless mesh networks. However, most metrics cannot identify the high throughput routing paths because this metric uses a different measurement parameters in each direction. So actual delivery rate does not provide to this metric. This paper describes the metric and implementation of IETC as a metric. This paper shows the improvement in performance.

Development and Performance Evaluation of the Expanded Metal Rockfall Protection Fence

  • The rockfall protection fence is one of the most common rockfall protection methods in Korea. The typical rockfall protection fence consists mainly of three parts ; H-beam supports, wire meshes, and wire ropes. The design of the rockfall protection fence is made such that the total energy absorbing capacity of the fence. Therefore, resulting from the combined energy absorbing capacity of the three parts is larger than the falling energy of rocks. In present study, a new rockfall protection fence, constructed using expanded metals instead of the existing wire rope and wire mesh for the typical type of rockfall protection fence, was evaluated on its performance by conducting both laboratory and field tests. Also, for a comparison, the same tests were performed on the typical rockfall protection fence. The test results revealed that the expanded material is an economic alternative to the existing protection materials and the expanded metal rockfall protection fence exhibits the higher energy absorbing capacity compared to that of the typical rockfall protection fence.

  • 통신시스템의 고발열 전자부품 냉각을 위해 3종류의 써모싸이폰을 각각의 용도에 따라 개 발하였으며 그 각각의 설계변수에 대한 냉각특성을 실험적으로 구하였다. TS-I에서는 증발부 내부 에 금속스크린 메쉬형심지를 삽입함으로써 시간에 따른 온도 변화를 작게 하여 냉각성능 안정성을 확보하였고, TS-II에서는 9W/cm2의 높은 냉각성능을 가진 루프형 써모사이폰을 개발하였으며 TS-III에서는 작동유체의 종류, 파이프개수 와이어 삽입여부등 써모사이폰의 주요 설계변수에 따 른 냉각특성을 구하였다.

An Experimental Study on Turbulent Characteristics in the Wake of Mesh-Screens (메쉬 스크린 후류의 난류유동 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Mean flows and Reynolds stresses through circular and elliptic wire-mesh screens in the wind tunnel are measured by using the hot-wire system, and flow structures are investigated. Flow in the core of the wake are nearly uniform and the shear layer is developed along the edge of the screen The turbulent kinetic energy in the core decreases at the fast rate. However turbulence components are not in local equilibrium in the shear layer. The shear layer of the circular screen develops outward according to the radial mean motion. On the other hand, 3-dimensional transverse mean motion was turned to the main mechanism for the elliptic shape of the wake to be circular at the downstream.

3D Magic Wand: Interface for Mesh Segmentation Using Harmonic Field (3D Magic Wand: 하모닉 필드를 이용한 메쉬 분할 기법)

  • In this paper we present a new method for interactive segmentation of a triangle mesh by using the concavity-sensitive harmonic field and anisotropic geodesic. The proposed method only requires a single vertex in a desired feature region, while most of existing methods need explicit information on segmentation boundary. From the user-clicked vertex, a candidate region which contains the desired feature region is defined and concavity-senstive harmonic field is constructed on the region by using appropriate boundary constraints. An initial isoline is chosen from the uniformly sampled isolines on the harmonic field and optimal points on the initial isoline are determined as interpolation points. Final segmentation boundary is then constructed by computing anisotropic geodesics passing through the interpolation points. In experimental results, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by selecting several features in various 3D models.
