The Effect of Requirement Creep on the Fixed-Cost Project Planning (요구사항 변경이 확정가 프로젝트 계획에 미치는 영향)

  • To develop a dynamic system project in which the requirement changes frequently, it's impossible to finish the development within a fixed-cost due to additional budget occurring in need of requirement creep. To manage the successive project within a fixed-cost, it's better to manage the ratio of necessarily changed size of project and necessary optional requirement. According to Bhagwat, it is occurred in the construction phase. Also, he stated that the software development cost, construction phase cost and requirement cost are equal and it was wrong explanation in the ratio of requirement creep and optional requirement. This paper assumes the requirement creep to be happening in the phase of elaboration and construction. In addition, some differences were supposed to happen between software development cost, construction phase cost, and requirement creep cost. As a result, the reality was preferred rather than the ratio of optional requirement and the ratio of requirement creep.

  • IPv6 프리픽스를 자동으로 할당 받기 위한 메커니즘으로 IETF 워킹그룹을 중심으로 DHCPv6 프리픽스 옵션을 이용한 방식과, APD 기술을 이용한 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 고에서는 IPv6 네트워크 환경에서 프리픽스 할당을 지원하는 싱글홉 기반의 DHCPv6 프리픽스 옵션을 살펴보고 멀티홉환경에서 이를 지원하기 위한 요구사항 및 프리픽스 할당 메커니즘을 제안하고자 한다.

  • Real option thinking can provide a strategic agility, especially when IT managers consider ERP investment projects. Managing financial and IT risks is critical for the success of ERP investment projects. We examine whether Korean IT managers apply the real option thinking when considering ERP investment projects. On the basis of a survey data collection, we validate hypotheses based on existing literature in IT and finance. Notably, Korean IT managers consider only volatility among financial risk variables and two important IT risk variables, namely, requirement changes and continuous training costs.

  • 전자 카탈로그 상에서의 상품 검색은 카탈로그에 명시되어 있는 상품을 찾는 표준상품검색과 소비자가 원하는 상품을 맞춤 하는 맞춤상품검색으로 분류할 수 있다. 현재의 대부분의 상품 검색은 표준상품검색에 의존하고 있다. 특히 기업간 구성요소기반(Component-based) 상품의 경우 표준상품검색만으로는 구매자의 다양한 요구에 응하기가 어렵다. 따라서 웹 상의 전자 카탈로그에서의 동적인 맞춤검색에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 구성기반 상품에 대해서 표준상품검색만으로는 구매자가 원하는 상품의 검색가능성(Feasibility)과 검색된 대안들이 조정(Adjust) 프로세스 과정을 거쳐 최적해 도달 가능성(Admissibility)이 보장되지 않음을 보이고, 이에 대한 효과적인 방법론으로 검색가능성과 최적해 도달 가능성을 지원하는Template-based Reasoning 방법론을 제안 한다. Template-based Reasoning은 구매자의 요구사항에 따른 대안탐색 부분과 선택된 대안에 대한 조정과정의 두 단계로 이루어진다. 구매자의 주요 선호도(MUST Preference)에 근거하여 대안들을 탐색하고, 탐색 된 대안들 간의 우선순위를 결정한다. 조정 단계에서는 옵션(Options)의 확장을 통해 구매자의 맞춤사양에 따른 상품을 제안하고, 제약 및 규칙기반 추론(Constraint and Rule Satisfaction Approach)을 이용하여 옵션(Options)들 간의 제약조건에 따른 호환성(Compatibility)을 조사하고, 적정가격의 상품을 제안한다. 본 방법론은 Template을 사용하여 기본적으로 구매자가 원하는 상품을 검색하기 위한 검색노력을 줄이고, 검색된 대안들로부터 구매자와 시스템이 웹상에서 서로 상호작용(interactivity) 하여 해를 찾고, 제약조건과 규칙들에 의해 적합한 해를 찾아가는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문은 구성기반 예로서 컴퓨터 부품조립을 사용해서 Template-based reasoning 예를 보인다 본 방법론은 검색노력을 줄이고, 검색에 있어 Feasibility와 Admissibility를 보장한다.

  • 프로덕트 라인은 다양하게 빠르게 변화하는 시장의 요구사항과 특정 도메인에 속하는 응용들 간의 재사용 가능한 아키텍처 및 컴포넌트의 구성으로부터 연관된 시스템 구축 시 생산성과 품질의 향상을 제공함으로써 현재 많은 관심의 초점이 되고 있다. 이들 프로덕트 라인에서는 프로덕트들 사이의 공통성과 변화성에 초점을 두고 이들 분류 방법으로 휘처 모델링이라는 개념을 주로 사용하여 분석하고 있다. 또한 재사용 가능한 아키텍처는 많은 변화 계획들과 메커니즘을 포함하고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 이러한 변화들이 일어나는 상황을 이해하는 것과 특별한 상황에서도 가능하게 하는 옵션들을 기록하는 것은 명확히 이루어지지 못하였다. 따라서, 명확한 변화성의 표현과 아키텍처에서 변경되는 적절한 위치를 식별하는 것이 중요하다. 그러므로, 본 논문에서는 휘처 모델을 기반으로 한 아키텍처 상의 컴로넌트 변화성과 컴포넌트 간의 관련성에서의 변화성 표현방법을 기술하고. 제시한 이론을 기반으로 웹 학습 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

  • As the consumer's consumption standard has raised, occupants' needs for the apartment is diversified and complicated. But the existing mass housing supply method has many problems and it couldn't satisfy the dwellers' various needs and overall expected life span. In order to correspond those needs, construction firms have introduced several method, such as plus option, minus option, on-time option, change up service and so on. The custom-built apartment is more supplementary and it can reflect the consumer's needs to the apartment directly. But after running the custom-built apartment, several problems is revealed. So. in this study, I defined the general idea of the custom-built apartment and then collect the case of the custom-built apartment.

Customized Configuration with Template and Options (맞춤구성을 위한 템플릿과 Option 기반의 추론)

  • In electronic catalogs, each item is represented as an independent unit while the parts of the item can be composed of a higher level of functionality. Thus, the search for this kind of product database is limited to the retrieval of most similar standard commodities. However, many industrial products need to configure optional parts to fulfill the required specifications. Since there are many paths in finding the required specifications, we need to develop a search system via the configuration process. In this system, we adopt a two-phased approach. The first phase finds the most similar template, and the second phase adjusts the template specifications toward the required set of specifications by the Constraint and Rule Satisfaction Problem approach. There is no guarantee that the most similar template can find the most desirable configuration. The search system needs backtracking capability, so the search can stop at a satisfied local optimal satisfaction. This framework is applied to the configuration of computers and peripherals. Template-based reasoning is basically the same as case-based reasoning. The required set of specifications is represented by a list of criteria, and matched with the product specifications to find the closest ones. To measure the distance, we develop a thesaurus of values, which can identify the meaning of numbers, symbols, and words. With this configuration, the performance of the search by configuration algorithm is evaluated in terms of feasibility and admissibility.

  • Application developers need effective reuseable methodology to meet rapidly changes and variety of users requirements. Product Line and CBD(Component Based Development) offer the great benefits on quality and productivity for developing the software that is mainly associate with reusable architectures and components in a specific domain and rapidly changing environments. Product line can dynamically focus on the commonality and variety feature model among the products. The product line uses the feature modeling for discovering, analyzing, and mediating interactions between products. Reusable architectures include many variety plans and mechanisms. In case of those architecture are use in product version for a long time, It is very important in architecture product line context for product line design phase. Application developer need to identify the proper location of architecture changing for variety expression. It is lack of specific variety managements to design the product line architecture until nowdays. In this paper, we define various variety types to identify the proper location of architecture changing for variety expression and to design the reusable architecture. We also propose architecture variety on feature model and describe variety expression on component relations. We implemented the web learning system based on the methodology. We finally describe how these methodology may assist in increasing the efficiency, reusability, productivity and quality to develop an application. In the future, we are going to apply the methodology into various domain and suggest international and domestic's standardization.

Valuation of highway O&M contract using real option (실물옵션을 활용한 고속 도로 유지관리 계약의 가치산정)

  • The recent budget planning for highway infrastructure implied that the investments for Operation & Maintenance(O&M) became greater than that for new construction. This circumstance made many stakeholders pay attention to the O&M of road infrastructure and adopt other countries' policies and system for effective management. In other countries, most O&M for road infrastructure have been done by private entities using long-term contract and Korea is about to shift from one year contract to long-term contract. The most important parts for the expansion of the long-term O&M contract for road infrastructure are valuation of the O&M contract based on accurate prediction of O&M costs and instrument for proper risk sharing between contracting parties. Thus, this study provides a methodology to estimate a reasonable O&M contract price and a framework to share contract risk between contracting parties using real option. The analysis results showed that the contract price and ceiling and floor conditions for the 20 year-contract of 20 km-highway project were 45.7, 60 and 42.3 billion won, respectively.

  • Technical improvement and the growth of the Internet environment make the market segmental of the manufacturing industry. These social trends have had an effect on the housing market, and the housing market changed from the supplier-oriented to the consumer-oriented. In recent years the occupants' needs for the apartment is diversified and complicated. But the existing mass housing supply method has many problems. It couldn't satisfy the dwellers' various needs and couldn't reflect overall expected life span either. In order to realize the sustainable building & environment, the research for the open housing system is actively performed. Finally the custom-built apartment which imported the concept of the open housing is constructed. But after running the custom-built apartment, several problems are revealed. Therefore the purpose of this study is to analyze the problems and then suggest the improving methods for a custom-built apartment.
