Effectiveness of the e-learning hands-on practice in the engineering education depends on the quality of the contents of which simulation is a part and the teaching strategy of the instructor. Instructors who develop and use the simulation-included e-learning content should employ various teaching and learning activities which would make online simulation practice effective. Thus, the strategy for the effective e-learning simulated practice in engineering courses should be known and used effectively. The aim of this paper is to classify the development methods of the simulations and the teaching and learning activities of the development types classified. The comparison of the teaching and learning activities leads to suggestion on teaching and learning strategy for effective use of the online simulation in engineering education.

Purpose: This study aims to understand the online practice experience of nursing students through virtual simulation in order to prepare basic data for online practice program development. Methods: This study is a descriptive study that applied a qualitative thematic analysis method to explore the online practice experiences of nursing students. It was targeted to 16 students in the department of nursing at a university. Results: As a result, 5 themes such as 'Feeling ambivalent about the online practice', 'Doubts about the effectiveness of online practice', 'Running into the limits of online practice', 'Feeling like a virtual simulation as an alternative', and 'Approaching true nursing' Conclusion: Virtual simulation is considered a very effective online practice program. However, since the lack of various scenarios and cases is pointed out as a limitation, it is necessary to develop and apply more diverse and systematic practice programs in future research.

이 연구의 목적은 온라인 상에서 수행된 실습 수업 방식을 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 연구자는 예비 교사를 대상으로 '전기 자동차 만들기'수업 주제로 실습 수업을 설계하였으며, 온라인 동영상 강의 컨텐츠 3편을 제작하였다. 동영상 강의 컨텐츠 제작을 위해 교수용 홈페이지 제작, 수업에서 사용할 동영상 제작, 과거 촬영하거나 제작해 두었던 동영상 준비, 실습 재료 준비, 실습 활동 관련 교과서 준비 등 다양한 교수학습자료를 사전에 준비하였다. 동영상 강의 컨텐츠는 CODTRA 분석 방법을 이용 하였으며, 분석 코드는 '동영상에서 제시된 교수학습자료'와 '교수자가 행하고 있는 상태'이었다. 분석 결과는 CODTRA 다이어그램에 의해 분석 코드를 시간에 따라 도식화하여 도시하였다. 이 연구 결과는 중등학교의 기술 교과나 공업계 교과에서 온라인 실습 수업을 위한 동영상 강의 컨텐츠를 제작하고자 하는 교수자에게 참고할 수 있는 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

As Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) became a pandemic, most nursing departments in Korea implemented online non-face-to-face practices rather than the existing practice method. This study was a qualitative study that analyzed the reflection diaries written by participants to understand what they experienced in the online non-face-to-face adult nursing practice process. The online non-face-to-face adult nursing practice was 90 hours for two credits and nine hours per day for a total of 10 days. This online practice consisted of computer-based simulation practice, computer-based nursing skills practice, video and educational material production, real-time online quiz, online lecture video, and discussion. As a result of analyzing the reflection diary, six categories, 13 subcategories, and 33 codes were derived. The six categories were 'Experience of various situations', 'Experience of new study', 'Fulfillment for the clinical practice', 'Building relations with professors', 'Fear of being a pre-nurse', and 'Ambivalence for the non-face-to-face practice'. These results are significant in that in the post-corona era, adult nursing practice was conducted as a non-face-to-face practice rather than a clinical practice institution, and various educational methods were operated. This study is expected to provide important basic data for the development and operation of non-face-to-face adult nursing practice.

This paper describes the development of on-line computer vision laboratories to teach the detailed image processing and pattern recognition techniques. The computer vision laboratories include distant image acquisition method, basic image processing and pattern recognition methods lens and light, and communication. This study introduces a case study that teaches computer vision in distance learning. environment. It shows a schematic of a distant teaming workstation and contents of laboratories with image processing examples. The study focus more on the contents of the vision Labs rather than internet application method. The study proposes the ways to improve the on-line computer vision laboratories and includes the further research perspectives.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of online basic clinical training on critical thinking disposition, self determination motivation and learning satisfaction for nursing student in the COVID-19 situation. This study is one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this study were collected using an online questionnaire for third-year nursing students located in G city, and 41 students participated in the final. The results of this study showed that critical thinking disposition(p=.013) and self determination motivation(p=.007) increased statistically significantly after the online basic clinical training. This findings indicate that online basic clinical training is effective in improving critical thinking disposition, self determination motivation. As it is difficult to perform direct nursing in the COVID-19 medical field recently, it is expected that the limitations of online clinical practice can be overcome by using various online contents.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of online psychiatric nursing practicum including virtual simulation on goal commitment, self-efficacy, critical thinking disposition, and problem solving ability of nursing students in the COVID-19 situation with difficult clinical practice. The subjects of this study were collected using an online questionnaire for third-year nursing students located in A city, and 31 students participated in the final. The results of this study showed that goal commitment and critical thinking disposition were improved in the post-test compared to the pre-test, but were not statistically significant. Self-efficacy (t=4.222, p<.001) and problem solving ability (t=6.807, p<.001) were signifincantly improved after than before online practicum. This findings indicate that online psychiatric nursing practicum including virtual simulation is effective in improving self-efficacy and problem solving ability. As it is difficult to perform nursing practice directly in the clinical field due to the recent COVID-19, it is expected that the limitations of online practicum can be overcome by utilizing various online contents including virtual simulations in online psychiatric nursing practicum.

This study explores what factors influence college students' synchronous online learning satisfaction and what advantages and disadvantages exist when it comes to taking synchronous online learning courses. In-depth interview results suggest that advantages of synchronous online learning are convenience (no need for travel, no limitation for study place), saving money, and no worry for contracting Corona 19. However, disadvantages of synchronous online learning are instability of online learning system, lack of interaction between learners and educators, difficulty of instant communication, low education quality, and unfairness of exams. This study found that college students taking synchronous online course think that synchronous online learning is more appropriate for theory-based course than practice-based courses in that theory-based courses are lecture-oriented while practice-based courses require interactivity between learners and educators. This study provides educators a baseline understanding on how college students think over synchronous online learning and how to enhance students' satisfaction with synchronous online learning.

컴퓨터 관련 교육에 있어서 실험과 실습은 교육 내용의 효과적인 전달과 교육의 목적 달성을 위하여 대단히 중요한 부분이다. 현재의 환경에서 소프트웨어의 실험과 실습을 위해서는 실습하고자 하는 프로그램을 실습자가 사용하는 컴퓨터에 모두 설치하여야 한다. 실습 프로그램을 개별적으로 갖추는 것은 설치에 대한 부담, 설치에 의한 자원 낭비, 업그레이드의 필요성등으로 인해서 실습 자체와는 직접적인 관련이 없는 부분에 대한 부담이 커진다. 본 논문에서는 WWW 환경에서 컴퓨터 관련 교과를 실습할 수 있는 환경을 구축하기 위한 기본적인 모델을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 제안된 모델은 클라이언트-서버 구조를 기반으로 하여 구축되었으며, 실습자는 웹 브라우저를 실행함으로써 실습에 대한 준비가 끝나며, 프로그램의 실행이나 처리는 서버에서 모두 이루어진다. 또한 WWW에서 제공하는 하이퍼링크 기능을 이용하여 실습에 관련된 사항이나 정보를 실습 환경 속에 포함할 수 있어 실습을 위한 통합된 환경을 제공한다. 제안된 모델의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 다양한 프로그래밍 언어를 실습하기 위한 시스템, UNIX 운영체제 실습 시스템, 오라클 데이타베이스 실습 시스템을 제안된 모델을 이용하여 구현하였다.

코로나로 인해 비대면 온라인 수업으로 운영된 수업환경에서 컴퓨터공학 분야의 대표적인 실습기반 교과목인 프로그래밍 수업은 학습자들에게 온라인 수업이지만 대면 수업의 실재감을 제공하는 질적 개선 방법을 모색할 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 연구는 플립러닝에 기반 한 실시간 수업을 활용하여 실습 기반 프로그래밍 수업에서 학습자의 능동적 수업 참여를 유도하고, 교수자와 학습자, 학습자와 학습자 간의 상호작용이 원활한 수업을 통해 대면 수업 수준의 실재감을 학습자에게 제공하고 학습효과를 높이고자 하였다. 적용결과, 온라인 수업에서 플립러닝 기반 수업 설계가 실습 기반 수업에 대면수업 수준의 학습 효과 및 만족도가 있었음을 조사·분석하였다.
