  • 일본 온라인 정보검색 그룹회는 1979년 10월에 설립된 정보검색 이용자 단체로 온라인상에서 제공되고 있는 정보를 어떻게 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는가를 연구하는 모임으로 정보검색에 관심이 있는 회사원과 공무원 등 대부분 연구, 조사 분야의 사람들이 회원으로 가입돼 있다. 특별히 검색교육을 위한 교사가 따로 구성되어 있는 것은 아니고 오랜 경험을 통해 터득한 관련 지식을 다른 회원들에게 가르쳐 주는 연구회의 성격을 가지고 있다.

A study on the relevant market definition of online search advertising - Focusing on Naver, Korean Search & Portal service provider - (온라인검색광고시장의 시장획정에 관한 연구 - 검색포털사업자 네이버를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper is to analyse empirically using the data collected from Korea portal Naver's ad management system and show online ad platform may not be two-sided market. It is aim of this study to propose the appropriate approach to define the market, based on the empirical result. Here are two research questions to be reviewed. First, is there any consistency between business model of search advertising and definition of two-sided market which Rochet-Tirole proposed in 2006? Second, do indirect network externalities exist significantly in search advertising market? if so, this study is going to estimate the level of it through empirical measurement. Based on Luchetta's paper which suggested that google may be one-sided market, it performed the correlation & regression analysis to prove his suggestion. The result is that online search advertising costs increased by more than 50 won when advertisers increased by one unit. However, there was no significant correlation and regression between the search frequency and online search advertising cost. It means that there is little possibility to identify two-sidedness in online search advertising service(market) because of no(or little) indirect network externalities which are a necessary condition for two-sided market. This result has three implications, such as the availability to adapt traditional market definition tools to online search advertising market, the possibility enhancement to find the fundamental competition elements in defined market and promotion of the powers of persuasion in competitive market reality. It is significant that the gap between legal scholars including regulatory practitioners and economists can be overcome to some extent. who have shown the different perspective on the two-sided market.

A Study on the Construction and Usability Test of Meta Search System Using Open API (Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템의 사용성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is aimed to clarify the usefulness of meta search system using Open API of library online catalog by constructing OPAC-based search system using Open API of library online catalog and meta search system using Open API of library online catalog, and comparing the usability of the two experimental search systems. As for usability, on the whole, it was higher in meta search system using Open API of library online catalog than OPAC-based search system using Open API of library online catalog, and there was statistically significant difference. Therefore, if libraries share and use enriched content which is provided through Open API for book search, which is opened by Internet bookstores, search engines and Web portals, it is expected that it will be helpful in enhancing bibliographic data, expanding subject access point, empowering subject search ability, extending meta search service, improving book availability, and reducing catalog cost.

  • 본 연구는 현재 통계학회의 홈페이지(http://www.kss.or.kr)를 통해 서비스중인 ${\ulcorner}$통계학용어 온라인 대조표${\lrcorner}$를 개인의 PC에 설치하여 보다 손쉽게 통계용어의 검색에 활용할 수 있도록 소프트웨어로 재구성한 것이다. 따라서 사용자는 웹에 접속이 불가능한 경우에도 알파벳이나 가나다순의 검색 및 키워드를 입력한 검색이 가능하며, 검색된 결과의 레이아웃이나 글꼴을 조정하여 출력도 가능하다. 구현된 소프트웨어는 앞으로 추가되는 자료가 있더라도 사용된 데이터베이스만을 업데이트하면 소프트웨어에 대한 추가수정 없이 재사용이 가능하도록 구성되었다.

The Interaction Effects of Online Advertising Types and Self-Monitoring (온라인 광고소구 유형과 자기 검색도의 상호작용 효과 연구)

  • TThis research paper discusses the results of an article on the effects of moderating role of self-monitoring on response to the two different types of online advertising appeals. It was hypothesized that low self-monitors show more positive attitude towards brand when exposing advertisements with product quality-based online advertising than high self-monitors, whereas high self-monitors show more positive attitude towards brand when exposing advertisements with image-based online advertising than low self-monitors. Through an experimental design involving product quality and image-based online advertising, this article demonstrates that the role of self-monitoring in online advertising effects is similar to traditional advertising studies. Based on the results of the study, practical and theoretical suggestions are interpreted in relation to online advertising creative messages and strategies.

  • This study investigates the current state of online research guides of the national archives of four countries including the UK, the USA, Australia, and Korea. It also analyzes the name and accessibility, subject coverage and categorization, number of guides completed, and structure and types of resources linked with each guide. The examined online research guides are evaluated based on accessibility, variety, systematization, consistency, and hyperlinks. Based on the analyses, it suggests the directions of designing research guides for the National Archives of Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how online knowledge-based search service is being used by students in science education. Reviewing information and summarizing data are important parts in scientific inquiry. As more and more information is available online, how to review and summarize online information for scientific inquiry also becomes an issue. In this study, we examined one of the popular online knowledge-based search services to see what kinds of information in secondary school chemistry are mostly sought and how reliable those information could be. The result indicated that users mostly seek scientific explanations and problem solving but about 30% of provided information appeared to be incorrect. It implicates that it is necessary to pay attention for teaching students how to obtain, evaluate, and communicate online information in science education to enhance students' ability for scientific inquiry.

  • 검색 질의 연구 분야의 대부분 선행 연구는 검색 질의 주제 분류에 집중되어 있으며 질의 자체에 대한 연구자의 정성적인 판단으로 분석되었다. 이는 검색 이후 클릭 된 문서를 고려하지 않고 진행되었다는 점과 분석 주제 및 활용 데이터가 제한적이라는 것에 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 대형 온라인쇼핑몰의 1년간의 검색로그를 활용하여 검색 질의와 검색 이후 조회한 문서명 정보를 기반으로 토픽모델링을 수행하여 검색 질의 주제를 정의하였다. 또한 검색 행동특성에 따른 주제별 성격을 정의하기 위하여 주성분 분석을 통해 주요 변수 추출 후 각 주제별 검색 행동특성을 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 효과적인 검색 서비스 구축 및 검색 시스템 개발에 기여 할 것으로 기대된다. 향후 연구로는 텍스트 분류기 모델링 실험을 통해 자동 분류 시스템을 구현할 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study surveyed the online catalog retrieval systems of the university libraries in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam districts. The types of library materials, and the kinds of access points and retrieval conditions(Boolean logic, methods of index term Identification, and particularities of the retrieval) of these systems are various and different to each other Upon the result of this survey a suggestion for the standardization of online catalog retrieval systems is offered.
