  • 수전 설비 시스템은 전력 회사에서 3 상 전원을 받는 설비로, 전기를 공급받기 위한 설비이다. 정전이나 제품생산설비의 중단은 기업에 있어서는 경제적 손실이 매우 큰 사고일 수 밖에 없다. 요즘은 IoT 센서를 이용한 수전설비 관리 시스템의 활용이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. IoT 센서를 이용한 수전 설비의 구축에서 정확한 상태 값의 센싱과 수집된 값의 전송, 그리고 정확성 판단에 대한 이슈들이 고려되어야 하며, 또한 기기간 통신을 통해 실시간 상호작용으로 수전설비의 고장을 어떻게 예방할 것인가에 대한 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 수전 설비의 실시간 감지와 모니터링을 위한 목적으로 기존의 고장 및 오류 정보를 기반으로 하는 빅데이터 분석을 통해 발생 가능한 고장 및 오류를 사전 예측할 수 있도록 정보를 제공하는 것에 주안점을 두었다.

  • In this paper a new intelligent diagnostic system for a refrigerator used for a cold-storage of farm produce was propose. It is verified that the developed system is useful for the fault observation and diagnose of a refrigerator by experimental implementation. The basic idea of the proposed system in that the temperature of major pipes at fault status differs from those at normal status. In order to realize the proposed system, the temperature measuring system and diagnostic program were developed.

  • Based on the data accumulated through EMU fault management, this paper examines the reliability of old railway car parts and proposes measurements to improve safety. Subway Line 7 of the Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, auxiliary power unit (Static Inverter) of the EMU second version is a core equipment to supply power to various room-service units in cars and make an effect directly on passenger satisfaction. To analyze the pattern of failure throughout the field data over a long period of time, this analysis of statistics and reliability considers the operating environment and stress factors. This statistical analysis presents the correlation between failure and the temperature stress factors related to frequent failure occurring intensively in summer. In addition, throughout the analysis of the life of the IGBT inverter, the effect of the temperature stress factor was observed before and after the repair. As a result of an analysis of the optimal operating conditions considering two variations of EMU, such as variable load and outside temperature, a difference in the cooling capacity between the optimal operating conditions and frequent failure conditions was observed. Based on this analysis, this paper suggests a way to minimize cooling capacity difference for the optimal operational conditions.

A case study on troubles analysis and diagnoses of passenger car's engine based on OBD (OBD에 기초한 승용차 엔진의 고장유형 분석과 진단 사례 연구)

  • In this study, we have performed a systematic case study on troubles and diagnoses of passenger car's engine based on OBD. We have acquired 1,242 data in order to analysis accurate troubles' causes and apposite diagnoses. 128 data of them are got using OBD apparatus, and the rest of them are collected on related website. As results, distribution on trouble cases shows bad idling(32%), poor acceleration(21%), stop in running(19%), faulty start(11%), inferior fuel economy(9%), and insufficient power(8%) in order of magnitude. And in the systematic cases, it is not difficult to detect troubles in a single part. But we know that special apparatus such as multichannel scanner is needed in complicated troubles. Furthermore we think that the survey is continued in various ways for more systematic case study on troubles and diagnoses.

Robust Model Based Fault Detection of EPB System for Varying Temperature (온도변화에 강인한 EPB 시스템의 모델기반 고장검출 방법)

  • In this paper, a robust model based fault detection for varying temperature is proposed, To develop a robust force estimation model, it needs temperature information because the force sensor's output is affected by a temperature variation. If an EPB system does not include a temperature sensor, the model has a much larger error than an EPB system with a built-in temperature sensor. Therefore, the temperature is estimated by using Ohm's law. The force model is applied with a motor current, battery voltage, operation mode, and the estimated temperature to detect a force sensor's abnormal signal fault. The residual is calculated by comparing the value of the measured force and the estimated force. Fault information is collected by using the output of the evaluated residual with the adaptive thresholds. A proposed robust model based fault detection for varying temperature was verified by HILS (Hardware in the Loop Simulation).

  • 전기기기는 통상 사용 후 고온부로 인해 회로적 과부하, 부품 고장 및 절연 파괴 등 어떠한 위험요서에 노출되어서는 안 된다. 또한 통상온도 상승 시험 후 감전 및 상해 대한 추가 시험이 반드시 뒤 따르게 되어 있다. 따라서 전기기기의 안전성을 판단하기 위해서 통상온도 상승 시험은 기본 사항이며, 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본고에서는 전기용품안전기준 K60335-1의 제1부 규격과 개별 규격을 근거로하여, 통상 상태 즉 정상 상태 일 때 일반적인 온도 상승 시험장법 및 적합성에 대해서 설명한다. 또한 각 전기기기별로 온도 시험을 위해서 설치 조건, 동작 시간 및 적합성에 대해서 제시하고자 한다.

Test methodology of acceleration life test on feeder cable assembly (Feeder Cable Assembly의 가속수명시험법 개발)

  • The feeder cable assembly is an automotive part used for telecommunication. If it malfunctions, the control and safety of the automobile can be put at risk. ALT (Accelerated Life Testing) is a testing process for products in which they are subjected to conditions (stress, strain, temperatures, etc.) in excess of their normal service parameters in an attempt to uncover faults and potential modes of failure in a short amount of time. Failure is caused by defects in the design, process, quality, or application of the part, and these defects are the underlying causes of failure or which initiate a process leading to failure. Thermal shock occurs when a thermal gradient causes different parts of an object to expand by different amounts. Thermal shock testing is performed to determine the ability of parts and components to withstand sudden changes in temperature. In this research, the main causes of failure of the feeder cable assembly were snapping, shorting and electro-pressure resistance failure. Using the Coffin-Manson model for ALT, the normal conditions were from Tmax = $80^{\circ}C$ to Tmin = $-40^{\circ}C$, the accelerated testing conditions were from Tmax = $120^{\circ}C$ to Tmin = $-60^{\circ}C$, the AF (Acceleration Factor) was 2.25 and the testing time was reduced from 1,000 cycles to 444 cycles. Using the Bxlife test, the number of samples was 5, the required life was B0.04%.10years, in the acceleration condition, 747 cycles were obtained. After the thermal shock test under different conditions, the feeder cable assembly was examined by a network analyzer and compared with the Weibull distribution modulus parameter. The results obtained showed good results in acceleration life test mode. For the same reliability rate, the testing time was decreased by a quarter using ALT.

Statistical Analysis on Residuals from No-Fault Reference Models of a Residential Heat Pump System in Normal Cooling Operation (가정용 열펌프 시스템의 정상냉방 운전조건에서 기준모델에 의한 잔차의 통계적 분석)

  • To approximate the threshold of the fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) system, validation of the measurements is mandatory. Naturally, the system shows uncertainties due to measuring sensors - mostly thermocouples or RTDs - and due to repeatability. The uncertainty of a thermocouple comes from natural variation or a drift of the thermocouple measurement. Considering the natural variation behaves like zero-mean white noise, its natural variation can be characterized closely by the steady-state standard deviation. However, residuals between measurements and no-fault references in FDD systems show a statistical distribution with various uncertainties. In this paper, steady-state variations of measurement residuals were investigated by utilizing built-in temperature sensors in a heat pump for the model development and the final application.

Fault Diagnosis of a Electrolytic Capacitor for Inverter DC-Link Voltage Smoothing (인버터 직류링크 전압 평활용 전해 커패시터의 고장 진단)

  • This paper proposes a novel fault diagnosis method of a electrolytic capacitor used for DC-link voltage smoothing in adjustable speed drives. The equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the electrolytic capacitor is directly estimated from DC-link voltage and load currents and the status of the electrolytic capacitor is determined from the estimated ESR. To compensate the variation of the ESR owing to temperature variation, diodes are located on the same PCB near the capacitor and the temperature of the capacitor is sensed indirectly from the voltage drop of diodes. Simulation and experimental studies show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
