A Verification of the Accuracy of the Deformable Model in 3 Dimensional Vessel Surface Reconstruction (혈관표면의 3차원 재구성을 위한 Deformable model의 정확성 검증에 관한 연구)

  • Vessel boundary detection and modeling is a difficult but a necessary task in analyzing the mechanics of inflammation and the structure of the microvasculature. In this paper we present a method of analyzing the structure by means of an active contour model(using GVF Snake) for vessel boundary detection and 3D reconstruction. For this purpose we used a virtual vessel model and produced a phantom model. From these phantom images we obtained the contours of the vessel by GVF Snake and then reconstructed a 3D structure by using the coordinates of snakes.

  • Current seismic design provisions such as ASCE 7-10 provide criteria for selecting ground motions for conducting response history analysis. This study is the sequel of a companion paper (I - Ground Motion Selection) for assessment of the ASCE 7-10 criteria. To assess of the ASCE 7-10 criteria, nonlinear response history analyses of twelve single degree of freedom (SDF) systems and one multi-degree of freedom (MDF) system are conducted in this study. The results show that the target seismic demands for SDF can be predicted using the mean seismic demands over seven and ten ground motions selected according to the proposed method within an error of 30% and 20%, respectively

  • Cyclone is widely adopted in the vacuum cleaner, because of the simple structure, the high dust collection efficiency and its transparency feature, which can be shown to the customer. At past times, cyclone performance was represented by collection efficiency, flow rate, pressure drop etc. At recent times the noise problem is getting important as cyclone comes into home-appliances. In this paper, pressure drop of cyclone and it's noise were measured at the variation of the cyclone structure and the main sources of cyclone peak noise was found by experimental and numerical analysis. In addition, the structure for peak noise reduction was suggested and it is beneficial both pressure drop and noise reduction.

  • 2003년부터 석유가격의 급격한 상승으로 인한 리비아 정부의 재정투자 증대 및 경제자유화 조치에 따른 내수증가 등으로 2003년 경제성장률이 9.1% 2004년도 7.9%, 2005년 8.45%의 눈부신 경제성장을 이룩하고 있는 리비아 전력수요를 예측하기 위한 프로그램을 개발하여 리비아 국영전력회사(GECOL) 직원들을 대상으로 수요예측에 관한 교육을 시행하고 향후 리비아 경제발전과 전력소비의 연관성에 에 관해 고찰하였다. 급증하는 오일달러를 이용한 사회간접 인프라구축에 집중하는 반면에 인접국가들과의 전력 계통연계도 함께 관찰하여 최적의 모델을 찾아 전력수요 예측에 활용할 수 있다.

  • 국내 도심지 전력계통망을 구성하고 있는 지중송전선로는 345kV, 154kV XLPE 케이블로 건설되고 있다. 도심지의 확장과 수요증가로 선로의 대용량화, 대도체화가 진행되고 있고, 송전용량 증대를 위한 신기술도 역시 지속 발전하고 있다. 새로운 신자재, 신공법이 아닌 케이블 재배치, 매설심도 조정 등 시스템 디자인을 통해 허용전류를 극대화하고, 경제적인 대용량 송전선로를 구축하기 위하여 연구한 송전케이블의 관로 최적시공방안을 소개하고자 한다.

  • Five phase theory has significant effect on Traditional Chinese Medicine, which puts its emphasis on correlation and integrity. However, the five phase theory itself has a limitation that it cannot reflect the general correlation and special features of affairs. Traditional Chinese Medicine pertains the five organs to five elements, absorbing the essence of the five phase theory, and transcending the limitation of the five phase theory in practice. Therefore, Traditional Chinese Medicine and other traditional medicine theories can be called as "five viscera correlation theory". On the course of modernization of traditional medicine, the effects among the five viscera can be concluded to 3 correlations of promotion, coordination and inhibition, to illustrate the integrity and correlation theory of traditional medicine from different approaches.

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine is based on Five Phase theory that link Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lung, Kidney to Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water respectively. Recently, some argue that this correspondence scheme had been established by political or socio-humane issues in early Eastern Han dynasty. But according to our analysis on Changgongyeoljeon(in Sagi), it has been revealed that this scheme had their own history from early Western Han dynasty. So we may conclude that people with medical profession had preserved the current correspondence scheme in Five Phase theory regardless trends of literature and politics in Western and Eastern Han dynasty.

  • In this paper, we present the scenario designs of the possibility of space communications for Korean Lunar Explorer and the analysis of its performance, depending upon the explorer's position within the moon's orbit after being launched from earth. As per each scenario, we would like to propose the analysis of the possible communication times and total transmission throughput data per day in two cases: one for using DSN and another for using only Korean's ground station.
