Purpose: This study examined the radiological and clinical outcomes of internal fixation using a reconstruction plate and 21G circumferential wire in comminuted midshaft clavicular fractures. Materials and Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed on 51 patients between 2005 and 2019. Thirty-two patients underwent internal fixation with a reconstruction plate and a 21G circumferential wire with minimal soft tissue detachment, and 19 patients underwent surgery without a wire. The patients were assessed with the radiographic parameters, the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) score, and the visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score. Based on this, patients who operated without a circumferential wire were set as the control group, and the differences in bone union between the two groups were compared. Results: Thirty-two patients were followed-up for an average of 65 weeks, and 19 patients in the control group were followed-up for an average of 56 weeks. The radiological evaluation confirmed the anatomical reduction and bone union in all 32 patients. No case of nonunion was present. The UCLA score was 32.38 on average and 33.11 in the control group (p=0.395). The VAS score was 1.00 on average and 0.84 in the control group (p=0.668). A significant difference in the bony union time was observed between the group who underwent internal fixation with a reconstruction plate and a 21G circumferential wire with minimal soft tissue detachment, and the control group (p=0.015). On the other hand, there was no statistical significance when other variables were controlled (p=0.107). Conclusion: For displaced midshaft clavicular fractures, internal fixation using a reconstruction plate and 21G circumferential wire maintained accurate anatomical reduction. The satisfactory clinical and radiological results mean that internal fixation using a reconstruction plate and 21G circumferential wire may be a good option for surgical treatment.

This is a study of Hick's self-described Christological 'Copernican revolution.' Since Hick as a former Christian theologian did not want to reject one of the core Christian doctrines(incarnation), he presented his copernican revolution in terms of Agape Christology, an inspiration Christology and myth Christology through his Christological reinterpretation. Thus Hick's Christologies that are developed gradually are discussed and evaluated chronologically. First, agape Christology understands that the incarnation is taking place all the time in different degrees everywhere. As a result agape Christology makes Jesus as a mere human being. Second, an paradox of grace or inspiration Christology views the incarnation as the Spirit of God enabling people to fulfill the will of God by their free responses. This Christology assumes that divine incarnation can occur anywhere and anytime in any person. Thus, according to this, Jesus is not literally God incarnate as Christian claims. Third, myth Christology views that the incarnation is not literal but mythological. Though he prefers to use metaphor in his later writings because it has a more positive connotation than myth, myth and metaphor have one thing in common: they are neither literal nor historical. Hick's mythological Christology implies the denial of Jesus Christ as God incarnate. Accordingly, the researcher must conclude that Hick's Christology as copernican revolution cannot said to be a perfect solution for today's religious situation, even though it was a sincere try to communicate with pluralistic world.

Both Plato and More imagined alternative ways of organizing society. What is common to both authors, then, is the fact that they resorted to fiction to discuss other options. They differed, however, in the way they presented that fiction. The concept of utopia is no doubt an attribute of modern thought, and one of its most visible consequences. But one of the main features of utopia as a literary genre is its relationship with reality. Utopists depart from the observation of the society they live in, note down the aspects that need to be changed and imagine a place where those problems have been solved. After the two World Wars, the twentieth century was predominantly characterized by man's disappointment at the perception of his own nature. In this context, utopian ideals seemed absurd and the floor was inevitably left to dystopian discourse. Both The Road by Cormac MacCarthy and The Childhood of Jesus by J. M. Coetzee can be called critical dystopia and critical utopia as they represent the imaginary place and time that author intended a contemporaneous reader to view as better or worse than contemporary society but with difficult problems that the described society may or may not be able to solve. As a changed adventure narrative, they have something in common like open ending, father and son relationship and religious allegory. But the most important thing is that they express the utopian impulse that is still energetic and transforming in the post-modern society.

Brodie abscess is a localized form of chronic or subacute osteomyelitis that occurs most often in the long bones of the lower extremities of young adults. Involvement of the flat or small bones is less common. And there is no report of Brodie abscess which has two different lesion. We report a case of Brodie abscess of talus and distal tibia.

가을이면 막대사탕처럼 현재 40~50대 중.장년층의 어린 시절을 영상하게 하는 열매는 진분홍색으로 달콤한 맛과 함께 향수를 자극한다. 또한 6월에 십자 모양의 백색으로 피는 꽃은 예수님이 이 나무에서 운명하였다하여 성스러운 나무로 취급되어 기독교인들의 사랑을 받고 있는 나무이기도 하다. 또한 나무의 수관, 열매, 꽃 모든 것들이 아담하면서 화사하고, 청초하기 때문에 현대인들의 조경수, 정원수, 가로수로 매우 사랑받고 있는 나무이다. 늦가을 겨울을 재촉하는 바람 소리에 새벽잠을 설쳐도 우리의 마음을 한결 부드럽게 어루만져 주는 산딸나무는 화원의 대장 노릇을 하고도 남음이 있을 것 같다. 또한 각종 약용, 식용으로 사용되어 버릴 것 하나 없는 우리에게 즐거움만 주는 나무이다. 하지만 이러한 나무에 해충이 피해를 주니 이들의 종류 및 생태 그리고 방제에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

근대과학을 낳는데 가장 중요한 역할을 한 갈릴레오는 우연히 망원경을 만든 것을 계기로 천문학에 끼여들었다. 망원경에 의한 천체관측은 2천년동안 끄떡없던 아리스토텔레스티 우주론이 틀렸음을 보여 주었다. 1609년 달의 정체가 밝혀지고 본성의 위성들이 발견되자 대중의 열광은 극에 이르렀으며 갈릴레오는 일약 유명해졌다. 가톨릭교회는 갈릴레오의 발견을 크게 환영했다. 그는 로마에 불려가 교황 바오르 5세(Paul V $1552\~1621$의 환대를 받고 성대한 축하행사에 참석했다. 예수회소속천문학자들도 갈릴레오를 찬양했다. 유일한 반대세력은 대학에 자리잡고 있느 소수의 아리스토펠레스주의자들이었다. 갈릴레오가 옹호한 코페르니쿠스체계에 대한 최초의 공격은 평신도와 하급성직자들에게서 나왔다.

독일 쾰른 출신의 예수회 선교사 아담 샬은 17세기 중ㆍ후반 중국에 서양천문학을 전해준 대표적 과학자이다. 1613년 로마신학교에 들어가 성직자로서의 교육을 받았고 1617년 신부가 되어 중국으로 파견되었다. 중국 이름이 탕약망인 이담 샬은 서양의 천문학 시헌력을 중국에 소개, 일식을 정확하게 예보하는 등 명성을 떨쳤다. 특히 그는 당시 중국에 억류되어 있던 조선조 인조의 세자인 소현세자와도 만나 서양의 과학기술괄련 물건들을 전하기도 했다.

In this study, we measure and analyzed variation of EEG signal by anesthesiologist progress step. In an experiment, the EEG signal was acquired and analyzed as 5 steps(prior surgical operation, during induction, surgical operation, awakening, posterior surgical operation). As a result, we confirm the anesthesiologist progress phase, concluded the possibility of anesthesia depth because using SEF and MF, and Delta ratio confirmed that can presume operating patient's consciousness state.

This paper proposes the new algorithm for the extraction of the corresponding points. Our algorithm is based on RANSAC(Random Sample Consensus) with EM(Expectation-Maximization). In the procedure of RANSAC, N-points are selected by the result of EM instead of the random selection. EM+SAC algorithm is applied to the correspondence for the mosaicing.
