조류인플루엔자(AI) 문제에 대한 심포지엄

  • AI로 인해 급감한 소비를 회복시키고 소비자들을 안심시키기 위해 의료계와 식품산업계가 나섰다. 대한의사협회(이하 의협) 국민의학지식향상위원회가 20일 '조류인플루엔자 문제에 대한 심포지엄'을 개최하고 의학계, 수의학계, 보건당국 전문가들로부터 AI 인체감염을 예방하기 위한 대처방안들을 제시하였다. 조류인플루엔자(AI)가 실제 사람에게 감염될 가능성은 희박하다는 게 현재까지의 중론이지만 만약의 상황에 대비해 AI 감염요인과 예방법을 올바로 숙지해야 한다는 의견이 제기됐다.

Exposure to Violence and Coping Behavior during the Clinical Practice of Nursing Students (임상실습 중 간호대학생의 폭력 경험과 대처 행동)

  • This study was conducted to investigate violence experiences and coping behaviors of nursing students when they were doing clinical practice. Data were collected from 250 nursing students from 10th of November to 10th of December in 2014 using questionnaires. 231 questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. 98.7% of the subject have experienced violence. Most frequently mentioned setting where violences were experienced was psychiatric unit, abusers were patient. Most frequent violence type was verbal abuse(97.4%) followed by physical threatening(76.2%). Most frequent coping behavior was enduring(87.8%) followed by avoiding(83.2%). In this study, most of nursing students experienced violence during the clinical practice. They need to be better protected from violence during the clinical practice. It is needed various active effort and programs to prevent violence and to help students cope more against violence in their practice.

A Study on the Effects of the Stress Coping Method on the Periodontal Disease (스트레스 대처방법이 치주질환에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study to grasp the effects of the stress coping method on the periodontal disease in order to provide raw data for the studies on the development of the training for effective stress copying method resulting in improvement in prevention, occurrence, and progression of periodontal disease. Data were collected from total of 326 subjects in their forties and fifties, during the period from March to October 2011. Using questionnaire and examination of periodontal health, and were analyzed using frequency, t-test, multivariate analysis of variance, multiple regression by SPSS ver. 19.0 (IBM Co., USA). The higher emotion-focused stress coping ($\beta$=0.341), the higher the gingival index, the higher the emotion-focused stress coping ($\beta$=0.239) the deeper the pocket depth, the higher the emotion-focused stress coping ($\beta$=0.158) the higher clinical attachment loss, showed statistically significant positive association. This study suggests that the dental clinic institute needs to implement education program including stress management and coping method improvement in order to prevent periodontal disease and make the occurrence and progression to be managed by professionals.

A SURVEY ON THE AWARENESS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS ABOUT THE FIRST AID TREATMENT OF TRAUMATIZED TEETH (어린이의 치아손상 대처방법에 대한 초등학교 교사들의 인식도 조사)

  • For the tooth traumas of children, instant and appropriate treatment is one of the important factors to determine prognosis of traumatized teeth. Especially in case of avulsed tooth, prognosis is greatly affected by instant and appropriate emergency treatment. The objective of this survey was to investigate elementary school teachers? knowledge of first aid treatment for tooth traumas of children. We asked for 520 elementary school teachers in Busan to answer questionnaires and 455(87.5%) were returned. The result of the survey supports that knowledge of tooth is little understood except general information about the treatment of tooth traumas. And it also shows that practical treatment is poor and instruction of medical treatment is not generally known Furthermore most teachers agreed that expert education for prevention and cure of tooth traumas is necessary (81.8%) and mouth protector is also necessary (71.9%) for the prevention. The result leads to the conclusion that educations on the prevention and emergency treatment of tooth traumas of elementary children who are physically active are needed.
