군인들에서 성인 주의력 결핍 과잉 행동 장애 증상이 스트레스와 우울증에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Symptoms of Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder on Stress and Depressive Symptoms in Soldiers)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate whether and how the symptoms of adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affect the stress and depressive symptoms in Korean soldiers. Methods : Data were collected on 131 subjects through self-report using the Korean Adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Scale (K-AADHDS), Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), Korean Wender Utah Rating Scale (K-WURS), and the Brief Encounter Psychosocial Instrument (BEPSI-K). Student t-tests, Pearson Correlation, Logistic regression, and Path analysis were performed. Results : The scores related to adult ADHD symptoms on the K-AADHDS and K-WURS were correlated with stress scores on the BEPSI-K (r=0.529, p<0.001 and r=0.484, p<0.001) and with depressive symptoms on the CES-D (r=0.686, p<0.001 and r=0.628, p<0.001). Scores related to adult ADHD on the K-AADHDS were the most significant risk factors for stress (O.R=1.198, 95% CI=1.104-1.299), and depressive symptoms (O.R=1.306, p95% CI=1.112-1.534). Path analysis on depressive symptoms showed that adult ADHD symptoms affected stress and depressive symptoms. Conclusion : The results suggest that it may be important to consider the evaluation and treatment of adult ADHD in soldiers. Prospective studies with larger numbers of subjects are warranted to further explore the relevance of the present results.

  • 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(ADHD) 학생의 지적결함, 학습 문제 및 저조한 학업 성취는 이들이 정상 학생에 비해 현저하게 낮은 지능을 가졌기 보다는 주의를 집중하지 못하는 특성 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ADHD 학생들과 정상군 학생들의 뇌기능영상을 비교 분석함으로써 ADHD 학생들의 뇌기능 차이와 작업기억 과제 시 나타나는 뇌의 활성영역의 차이를 보고자 하였다. 인천지역 초등학교 학생 26명을 대상으로 뇌기능영상과 임상설문검사를 실시하였으며, 뇌기능영상의 자극은 작업기억으로 하였다. 분석에는 통계적 파라미터 지도작성법과 사회과학통계패키지를 이용하여 단일표본 t 검정, 두 표본 t 검정, 다중 회기 분석등으로 분석 하였으며, 통계적 유의수준은 p<0.05에서 나타내었다. 그 결과 ADHD 학생들의 전두 피질, 두정엽 피질, 시상, 미상핵 등 많은 부분에서 불균형적인 발달을 볼 수 있었다. 또한, 작업기억 과제 수행의 어려움을 느낄수록 일부 안와 전두 피질, 해마가 활성화되었다. 보다 많은 ADHD 학생들의 대상자가 확보되어 ADHD 유형별 연구가 필요하며, 뇌기능영상에서 보다 많은 자극으로 실험한다면 ADHD 학생들의 전반적인 뇌기능평가에 유용할 것으로 판단된다.

과잉 산소 존재 하에서 Ru-HZSM-5촉매를 사용한 NO 분해 반응 및 선택적 촉매 환원 반응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Direct Decomposition and Selective Catalytic Reduction of NO over Ru-HZSM-5 Catalyst in the Presence of Excess Oxygen)

  • 본 연구에서는 여러 귀금속 이온 교환 HZSM-5 촉매상에서 NO의 선택적 환원 반응 및 과잉 산소 존재 하에서 탄화수소 환원제를 첨가하지 않은 조건에서의 직접 분해 반응을 수행하여 NO 제거 활성을 비교 검토하였으며, Cu-HZSM-5 촉매의 활성과도 비교하였다. 사용한 촉매 중 Ru-HZSM-5 상에서 탄화수소 환원제 없이 $NO+O_2$반응을 수행한 결과 최대 45%의 NO에서 $N_2$로의 전환율을 얻을 수 있었으며 수증기의 첨가에 대해서도 상당한 저항성을 나타내었다. 이러한 Ru-HZSM-5의 높은 활성은 NO를 과잉 산소 존재 하에서 $NO_2$로 전환시키는 능력이 우수하기 때문이라고 생각된다. Ru-HZSM-5 촉매상에서 NO는 기상 탄화수소 환원제가 없는 과잉 산소 존재 하에서는 먼저 $NO_2$로 산화된 후 이어 $N_2$로 분해되는 반응 경로를 거치는 것으로 생각되며 촉매 표면에 흡착되는 $NO_2$는 이 반응의 일종의 중간 생성물이라 판단된다.

우리나라 공공도서관의 장서성과평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Collection Performance Evaluation of Public Libraries in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 부산광역시 금정구 소재 3개 공공도서관을 사례로 하여, EBSM과 collectionHQ에서 제시하는 핵심성과 지표를 적용하여 장서성과평가를 시도한 사례연구이다. 장서의 성과를 중심으로 평가하는 장서성과평가에 집중하며, 개별 도서관 평가뿐만 아니라 평가결과에 나타난 도서관별 차이를 검토하였다. 연구에서 선정한 핵심성과지표는 누더기 아이템, 사망 아이템, 인기저자 공급, 인기주제 공급, 과잉재고 주제분야와 재고부족 주제분야이다. 주요한 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 누더기 아이템 평가에서 3개 도서관 모두 전체 아이템에서 누더기 아이템의 비율이 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 사망 아이템의 경우, 3개 도서관 모두 높은 비율로 나타나, collectionHQ에서 제안한 기준값을 초과하였다. 셋째, 인기저자 상위 10명을 확인하였으며, 도서관마다 차이가 났다. 넷째, 인기주제 공급 평가에서는 3개 도서관 모두 기준값에 미치는 인기주제가 없는 것으로 나타나, 도서관별로 상위 10개의 인기주제를 식별하였다. 다섯째, 과잉재고 주제분야 평가에서는 금샘도서관은 과잉재고 주제분야가 하나도 없었지만, 금정도서관과 서동도서관에서는 다수의 주제분야가 과잉재고 상태인 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 재고부족 주제분야 평가에서는 금샘도서관에서만 재고부족 주제분야가 나타났다.

상악 정중 과잉치의 임상연구 (A CLINICAL STUDY OF MESIODENS)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of mesiodens among children in Korea. The study population consisted of 20 children whose ages ranged from 4 years to 26 years. The characteristics of mesiodens were obtained from radiographs and clinical examination results, and were confirmed by surgical intervention. Results showed that males were affected four times as frequently as female. Thirty-five percent of the patients had more than one supernumerary tooth. About 67% of the mesiodens were conical in shape and about 34% of the mesiodens were in the upward position. The age and sex distribution, number of mesiodens per patient, shape, direction, size, and effect on permanent upper incisors are also presented in this study.

  • The reason of abnormal expansion in BaTiO3 synthesized in the equimolecular mixture and synthesized in Ba-rich region were investigated at the point of crystal and microstructure. The shrinkage and the expansion of the mixtures in BaCO3-TiO2 system were determined by the mass of BaCO3 added to the equimolecular BaCO3 and TiO2, Ba2TiO4 which was much formed and BaTi2O3 were important crystal in the reaction of Ba-rich region. Sintering phenomena of unreacted BaCO3 activity and the secondary phase caused to generate microcracks in the specimens.

  • Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neuropsychiatric disorder that begins in early childhood and can persist throughout adulthood. ADHD causes difficulties in various area of life, such as academic achievement, peer relationships, family functioning, employment and marriage. Although ADHD is known to respond well to medication, such treatment is more effective when combined with psychosocial (non-pharmacologic) therapy in terms of alleviating the core symptoms and improving appropriate functions. Psychosocial treatment interventions are divided into psychoeducation, behavioral parent training, school intervention, cognitive behavior therapy, social skill training, parent-child interaction therapy, play therapy, other treatments (coaching, complementary and alternative medicine), neurofeedback and Cogmed. Adult ADHD cognitive behavioral therapy is described separately. These practice parameters summarize the evidence for psychosocial treatment. Based on this evidence, specific recommendations are provided for psychosocial interventions.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the prenatal, perinatal and developmental risk factors of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), compared to unaffected siblings (SIB), and typically developing children (TC). Methods : Subjects with ADHD, their SIB, and TC were recruited from the child psychiatry outpatient clinic of the Asan Medical Center Children's Hospital. The parents of the children completed questionnaires on perinatal and developmental risk factors. Results : Fifty-eight subjects with ADHD (41 boys, $7.7{\pm}1.3years$), 21 SIB (8 boys, $8.2{\pm}1.8years$), and 22 TC (8 boys, $8.5{\pm}2.1years$) were included. The ADHD group showed higher rates of maternal stress during pregnancy than the SIB group (p=.002), and the ADHD group showed higher rates of familial psychiatric history than the TC (odds ratio, 8.76 ; 95% confidence interval, 1.69 to 45.45). Conclusion : These findings suggest that among perinatal and developmental factors, maternal stress during pregnancy contribute to the development of ADHD. Future prospective studies will be needed in order to determine the causal relationship between perinatal risk factors and development of ADHD.

  • Objectives : It is known that children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) experience significant difficulty in recognizing facial emotion, which involves processing of emotional facial expressions rather than speech, compared to children without ADHD. This objective of this study is to investigate the differences in facial emotion recognition between children with ADHD and normal children used as control. Methods : The children for our study were recruited from the Suwon Project, a cohort comprising a non-random convenience sample of 117 nine-year-old ethnic Koreans. The parents of the study participants completed study questionnaires such as the Korean version of Child Behavior Checklist, ADHD Rating Scale, Kiddie-Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia-Present and Lifetime Version. Facial Expression Recognition Test of the Emotion Recognition Test was used for the evaluation of facial emotion recognition and ADHD Rating Scale was used for the assessment of ADHD. Results : ADHD children (N=10) were found to have impaired recognition when it comes to Emotional Differentiation and Contextual Understanding compared with normal controls (N=24). We found no statistically significant difference in the recognition of positive facial emotions (happy and surprise) and negative facial emotions (anger, sadness, disgust and fear) between the children with ADHD and normal children. Conclusion : The results of our study suggested that facial emotion recognition may be closely associated with ADHD, after controlling for covariates, although more research is needed.

보육교사의 주의력결핍과잉행동장애에 대한 지식수준 및 태도 (Knowledge and Attitude to Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder in Korean Preschool Teachers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of study was to describe knowledge and attitude to Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) in preschool teachers in Korea. Methods: Survey methodology using a self administered questionnaire was employed as the research design. Knowledge and attitude were measured with a questionnaire modified from Jerome, Gordon, and Hustler (1994) and Ghanizadeh, Bahredar, and Moeini (2006). Of 223 questionnaires mailed out to 42 daycare centers in one district in Seoul, 164 questionnaires (73.5%) were used for data analysis. Data analysis was done using SPSS.WIN 15.0. Results: The mean score on knowledge for the teachers was 11.27 (59.3%) out of maximum score of 19. For question items, the percentage of correct answers related to etiology of ADHD was under 10% and the correct rate regarding treatment of ADHD was over 90%. Preschool teachers had a mean score on attitude of 20.77 out of 33. Less than 50% of the teachers reported positive attitudes toward the child with ADHD and over 90% agreed that the child with ADHD needs a special environment and specially trained teachers. Age (r=.236, p=.002) and marital status (t=-3.661, p=.000) were significantly related to attitude toward the child with ADHD. Knowledge and attitude had a significant positive correlation (r=.245, p=.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that educational programs and strategies should be developed to increase knowledge of preschool teachers on ADHD. Public health nurses also need to develop and implement education programs for teachers at daycare centers and others involved in child care in the community.
