영화산업에서의 이슈와 SW.IT서비스 신시장 창출 기회

  • IT와 SW의 발전은 다양한 산업 분야에서 획기적인 발전을 이루는 계기를 제공해 왔다. 빠른 계산, 자동화, 보다 정확하고 신속한 산출물 제공 등이 현재의 산업 속성과 미래의 발전 전략을 제시해 주고 있다. 특히 상상력과 창의성을 기반으로 차별적인 성과를 낼 수 있는 영화와 애니메이션, 게임 등을 포함하는 엔터테인먼트 산업에서도 IT의 도입은 핵심 역량(Core Competence) 중의 하나로 평가받고 있다. 본 고에서는 영화산업에서 IT서비스와 SW기업이 새로운 시장을 창출할 수 있는 영역에 대해 소개하고, 향후 추진해야 될 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

Automatic Construction and Evaluation of Movie Domain Korean Sentiment Dictionary (영화도메인 한국어 감성사전의 자동구축과 평가)

  • 본 연구에서는 네이버 영화평을 학습데이터로 사용하여 영화평 감성분류에 필요한 감성사전을 자동으로 구축하는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 이 때 학습데이터의 분량과 긍정/부정 영화평의 비율을 달리하여 네 가지의 학습데이터를 마련하고, 각 경우에 대하여 감성사전과 나이브베이즈(이하, NB) 분류기를 구축한 후, 이 둘의 성능을 비교했다. 네 종류의 학습데이터로 구축한 감성사전과 NB 분류기를 이용하여 영화평 감성 자동분류 성능을 비교한 결과, 네 경우의 평균 균형정확도는 감성사전이 78.2%, NB 분류기가 66.1%였다.

Performance Analysis of Directors, Producers, Main Actors in Korean Movie Industry using Deciles Distribution (2004-2017) (평균 관객 수 10분위를 활용한 감독, 제작자, 배우 흥행성과 분석)

  • On the 855 pure Korean commercial fictional movies, excluding diversity films, released in Korea from 2004 to August 2017, I conducted deciles distribution analysis of box office performance of those movies and average box office performance of directors, producers and lead actors who involved in making them. Deciles distribution analysis of average box office performance might be helpful to predict their next box office performance of newly produced Korean movies and to evaluate their contribution to box office performance. In baseball, the various index such as winning rate, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, stolen base percentage, battling average, earned run average is used for predicting and reviewing of professional players. In this study, I evaluate the script's narrative quality by the indirect method of insight and judgment of creative manpower involved in making the movies. For the more productive prediction, direct statistical analysis method on the narrative of the script needs to develop. Time series analysis is required to evaluate the rise and fall of creative manpower and network analysis is also necessary to see the interaction among creative people.

Movie 'Cinema Paradiso' theme music function analysis (영화 시네마 천국의 테마음악 기능분석)

  • This thesis focuses on the five functions of film music as proposed by American composer Aaron Copland, and the application of these functions in the modern film Cinema Paradiso featuring music by Italian composer Ennio Morricone. Morricone has shown the application of these techniques in Western films such as the 1960s film A Fistful of Dollars and the top-rated 1980s films The Mission and Cinema Paradiso. Through his work, he maximizes the effects of representation in each scene by using variations of the theme music to effectively apply the functional theory of film music. Cinema Paradiso, especially, pursued the consistency and diversity of film at the same time. And it emphasized the specific atmosphere, intending to provide continuity in the scenes during the progress of the film. This thesis provides an understanding of the variation technique in film music, and the functionality of film music from scene to scene, as used by Morricone, for students majoring in film music.

  • 몸이 상품이 되는 사회, S라인이 특권이 되는 사회, 외모가 능력이 되는 사회에 대한 비판을 저변에 깔고 있는 영화 <미녀는 괴로워>에서 비만여성은 그 어느 곳에서도 자신의 존재를 인정받지 못한다. 그러나 이 글의 목적은 뚱뚱한가, 날씬한가로 사람을 나누고 평가하는 세상, S라인이 사람의 무의식을 장악하고 있는 세상에 대한 사회비판적 분석은 아니다. 여기선 비만이 건강에 미치는 영향에 국한해서 글을 풀고자 한다.

  • 휴대용멀티미디어플레이어(이하 PMP)는 2004년 국내에 등장하여 음악과 더불어 영화 및 동영상을 볼 수 있도록 해주고 있는 인기 있는 개인용 전자기기이다. 그러나 수요가 둔화되고, 업체들의 경쟁이 치열해지면서 새로운 기능, 새로운 서비스에 대한 개발이 대두되고 있다. 최근에는 네비게이션 서비스, 학습서비스가 시행되면서 다시 수요가 살아나는 추세이다. 이에 따라 현재 존속하는 서비스에 대한 평가 및 새로운 서비스에 대한 검증이 요망되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소비자 니즈 조사를 분석함으로써 현재 이용되고 있는 서비스들의 상황을 분석하고, 신규 서비스에 대한 수요 가치를 분석하였다. 분석 대상이 된 기존 상용 서비스는 게임, DMB, 영화, 음악, 네비게이션, 전자사전, 전자책, 이러닝, 만화, 무선인터넷였고, 신규 서비스는 u-Commerce, u-Health, u-Security, u-Public였다. 본 연구결과 PMP 응용 수요선호도 순위는 영화, TV, 음악 순이었으며, 신규서비스 u-Commerce, u-Health, u-Security, u-Public 옵션들에 대한 구매의향 평균가는 68,102원으로 나타났다.

  • 협업 필터링(Collaborative Filtering)이란 많은 사용자들로부터 얻은 기호정보(taste information)에 따라 사용자들의 관심사들을 자동적으로 예측하여, 아이템에 대한 목표 사용자의 선호도와 다른 사용자의 선호도를 비교 분석하여 목표 사용자가 좋아할 만한 아이템을 추천하는 기법이다. 그러나 협업 필터링 기법은 고객 정보와 평가 정보가 충분히 많아야 정확성이 높은 추천 결과가 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 영화를 한 번도 평가하지 않은 사용자들에게 영화를 추천 해주기 위한 즉, 협업 필터링의 희박성 문제(Sparsity Problem)를 해결하기 위한 한 가지 방법으로 개인의 감정 정보를 이용하여 문제를 해결하는 방법을 소개한다.

  • The film enters the color film from black and white, and the screen image changes qualitatively. The color in the film not only has the reproduction function of the restoration object like the objective appearance, but also has the function of conveying different subjective emotions. It can express the color and can't express it. The artistic effect conveys the information content that the story itself can't convey, so the color of the film becomes an important part of the film language. The color in the film is presented on the screen in the form of single-screen color, scene color, full-color color tone, and various color chains designed according to different contradictions and conflicts. Because the film art and art means are assembled by montage, he colors in the picture also form a montage form. People call it "color montage". People's subjective nature of color criticism and acceptance of color language also depend on various local tones. The accurate expression of the relationship, the unique attribute of color determines that the color must enter the structural state in order to express its unique charm. The color of the film only has the real aesthetic value when it enters the level of "color structure". This paper studies the color of Chinese and Western films from the differences between the color thinking of Chinese and Western film directors and the cultural implication of Chinese and Western film colors. The western film director emphasizes the structure of color and pays attention to the use of tonal montage to convey the characters. Emotions reflect the characteristics of a subjective color. Beginning with the "fifth-generation" director of Chinese film, the new journey of film color language has been opened. In the process of blending love and scenery, the film style of "image-in-one" has been achieved.

An Experimental Evaluation of Box office Revenue Prediction through Social Bigdata Analysis and Machine Learning (소셜 빅데이터 분석과 기계학습을 이용한 영화흥행예측 기법의 실험적 평가)

  • With increased interest in the fourth industrial revolution represented by artificial intelligence, it has been very active to utilize bigdata and machine learning techniques in almost areas of society. Also, such activities have been realized by development of forecasting systems in various applications. Especially in the movie industry, there have been numerous attempts to predict whether they would be success or not. In the past, most of studies considered only the static factors in the process of prediction, but recently, several efforts are tried to utilize realtime social bigdata produced in SNS. In this paper, we propose the prediction technique utilizing various feedback information such as news articles, blogs and reviews as well as static factors of movies. Additionally, we also experimentally evaluate whether the proposed technique could precisely forecast their revenue targeting on the relatively successful movies.

  • The purpose of this study was to look into Korean film criticism that started during Japanese occupation. It's specifically attempted to shed light on the development and significance of Joseon film criticism and on film movement theory as part of the history of Korean early modern film criticism. When kino-drama that could be called the start of Joseon movies was popular, enlightenment-based view of movie was rampant due to the inflow of western civilization and modernistic consciousness. Afterwards, the nature of movie itself drew a lot of attention from contemporary people in the silent picture days, and there appeared a critical trend in pursuit of artistry. Diverse criteria of criticism about reality and representation were presented, and a lot of disputes were eventually stirred up. Thus, criticism started to make a progress. A proletarian film movement theory, the so-called KAPF film campaign that was prevalent from the mid-1920s to the mid-1930s, was one of leading contemporary movie theories and took the lead in critic community. That had a great impact on the entire Joseon film circles. That took a proletarian view of movie, which was based on Bolshevik theory of Popularization and dialectic historical materialism. their criticism made a contribution to providing information on foreign movies and theories and to presenting main principles and multiple alternatives toward film organization and playing.
