was somewhat of a turning point for Godard, allowing the Novelle Vague auteur to address for the first time the current political climate of the world in one of his film, and this film is a film of constant questioning and is, in the truest sense, a 'talking film'. In this paper, I attempt to analyse the sound of this film to interpret the complicated sound structure in . Godard was aware of the power of sound and experimented diverse methods such as 'direct sound', interviewing using the effect of on-sound and off-sound, multiple narration, reading a text aloud, sound effect and music which are controled and selected by himself in this film. , with its largely improvised dialogue, was a work of journalism which was recorded a generation of Marx Coca-Cola.

This paper examines the sound of Godard's <$Pr{\acute{e}}nom$ Carmen> from Deleuze's film aesthetics and Merleau-Ponty's phenomenological point of view. The rehearsal scene of a string quartet is a mirror-image that illuminates the music itself, and becomes a crystal-image with the indiscernibility of the present and the past in the break with the main narrative. On the other hand, urban noise and waves are the seeds composed of pure optical (sound) images and grow into pure sound crystals that collide with what is seen through the juxtaposition, substitution, and intentional connection of sound. However, these sound contradictions also lead to the integrated sound category as a 'sole movement' through Merleau-Ponty's dialectical thought, and even the dialectical sound management of pop and classical music is no longer a confrontation of the genre, but is integrated into the materialistic category of sound. This study is differentiated from the existing research by solving the sound aesthetics of the Godard's film through philosophical thought.

The style of a film is the element that makes audience realize director's purpose directly. As the film's spectacular background have became important it's hard to find non-wide screen film, and audience and theaters are very familiar to 1.85:1 film ratio and even wider. Nevertheless, did not follow this trend but to chose narrow film ratio and shallow focus. This film, of which the background is Nazi's concentration camp, does not allow audience to catch more information than main character Saul. It's because the director aims to make audience Saul's position in the film. This paper discuss how the style of reflects the director's intention.

<2001 스페이스 오디세이(2001 : A Space Odyssey, 1968)>는 인간이 달에 도달하기 이전에 만들어진 영화임에도 불구하고 우주에서의 사운드를 현실적으로 표현하려고 노력했다. 우주에서 주인공이 우주복을 입었을 때 숨소리가 과장되게 들리게 함으로서 청자들에게 새로운 공간에 대한 사운드를 제시했고 소리가 전달되지 않는 우주의 특성을 활용해 과감하게 '사일런스(침묵)'를 앰비언스 개념으로 사용함으로서 이후에 나온 우주를 배경으로 한 SF영화에 음향적으로 많은 영향을 끼쳤다.

Music has played an important role in Films. It develops the narrative of the movie and it emotionally pulls the audience into the film. In composing film music, you need to put a bigger emphasis on the Interrelationship between melody, rhythm and harmony. However, to create more tension in the genre of suspense or thrillers, it is possible to maximize the emotion with the acoustic sounds of particular musical instruments.

The purpose of this research is to analyse the structural aspect of storytelling in contemporary cinema which is focused on the Apichatpong Weerasethakul's film. The structural/materialist filmmakers insisted the formal experiment of film form itself and the methodology to create meaning by using it. Apichatpong Weerasethakul accepted and recreated aesthetic result of the structural/materialist film to transform his own cinematic style. As a result, he expanded his film aesthetic to post-modern film aesthetics. For this, he created the structure of film by using diegetic and non-diegetic sound and image creatively. The conventional storytelling method of contemporary cinema is based on the classic theory of 'poetica' of Aristoteles, which creates illusory diegesis of cinema. but Apichatpong Weerasethakul seeks and re-constructs storytelling methodology based on the product of structural/materialist film.

멀티미디어 시대에서 중요한 기술 중에 한 부분인 디지털 컨텐츠 제작 및 처리부분이 있을 것이다. 최근 가장 급성장하고 발전하고 있는 인터넷 관련 하드웨어 기술과 소프트웨어 기술에서 디지털 영상을 처리하는 기술은 급격히 증가하고 있으며 이러한 발전은 디지털 사운드 기술개발에도 많은 발전이 필요하고 계속해서 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 인터넷이라는 매체를 통한 디지털 컨텐츠 서비스분야는 급격히 증가하고 있으며 사회에서는 더욱더 좋은 양질의 컨텐츠 서비스를 원하고 있다. 인터넷 사용자들은 2채널 스테레오 음질에서 만족하지 않고 영화에서 느낄 수 있는 입체음향 5.1채널의 고음질을 원하고 있으며 이러한 입체음향을 서비스를 받기 위해서는 하드웨어 시설을 갖추어야 하는 단점이 있다. 이번 입체음향을 구현하는 뮤직뱅크는 하드웨어시설을 최소화한 상태에서 2개의 스피커에서 입체음향을 느낄 수 있는 기술이 될 것이며 양질의 디지털 사운드 서비스에 크게 기여할 수 있는 점이 중요한 목적이라고 하겠다.

본 연구에서는 영상음향의 사운드디자인 구조의 차이가 수용자에게 어떠한 감응도 변화가 있는가를 알아 보았다. 실험은 60초의 TV광고음향을 음악으로만 디자인한 음향트랙과(A), 음향효과와 음악으로 디자인한 음향트랙(B)을 청취하게 하여, 어떠한 사운드 구조가 감응도(주의력, 활성도, 감성도)에 더 유의한 영향을 미치는가를 알아 보았다. 실험은5명씩의 남.여 대학생을 대상으로 이루어 졌고 안정상태와 Fp1, Fp2를 중심으로 한 전두엽측정방식으로 한 뉴로피드백(Neuro feedback)뇌파측정방법으로 측정하였다. 그 결과, 음악으로만 디자인한 A음향트랙에서의 감응도는 주의((ATQ)와 활성도(ACQ), 감성도(EQ)모두가 증가했으나 B트랙보다는 낮았다. 음악+효과음으로 디자인한 B트랙에서는 주의력(ATQ), 활성도(ACQ),는 A트랙보다 증가하였으나 EQ(감성도)는 반대로 A트랙보다 낮았다. 결과적으로 영상에서 음향은 주의력과 활성도 에는 기본적으로 뇌의 변화에 작용하나 정서적인 면은 역시 음악이 유효한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 강한 효과음들은 음악보다 주의력과 집중도를 높이기는 하나 스트레스적(SQ)지수는 오히려 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 방송과 영화 등의 사운드구조는 영상과의 호흡을 기본으로 하지만 실제로 시각정보와 청각정보가 동시에 합쳐져서, 심리적으로 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 뇌신경측정으로 고찰한 것에 의의가 있다.
