  • 본 논문은 시청자 개개인의 선호도 정보(user preference)를 이용하여, 컨텐츠 제공자(content provider)로부터 개인화 된 비디오 요약을 제공받을 수 있는 맞춤형 방송 서비스를 제안한다. 제안하는 방송 서비스는 다채널의 디지털 방송 환경에서 시청자들에게는 채널선택의 편의성과, 컨텐츠 제공자들에게는 시청자들이 자신들의 컨텐츠에 대한 소비를 촉진시키는 기능을 제공한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 개인화 된 비디오 요약 서비스를 제공하기 위해, TV-Anytime에 기반한 사용자 선호도 정보를 이용하는 시스템 스킴(scheme)을 제안한다. 제안하는 방송 서비스의 유효성을 테스트하기 위해 영화 장르의 비디오에 대해서 이벤트(event)들을 세그먼트(segment)하고, 해당 선호도 정보에서 추론된 선호 이벤트 정보에 따라 비디오 요약(video skim)을 생성하고, 시청자 단말에 제공하는 실험을 수행한다.

  • 멀티미디어의 규모가 급격하게 늘어나고 있는 현재, 영화와 같은 동영상은 용량에 있어 사진과 비교했을 때 상당한 크기를 가지고 있고 그만큼 많은 정보를 담고 있다. 이렇게 많은 정보를 얻기 위해 사용자들은 많은 시간을 소비해야 한다. 이러한 비효율적인 측면의 보완을 위해 동영상의 각 프레임의 유사도를 판단하여 유사한 프레임들은 하나로 모으고, 유사하지 않은 프레임들은 구분하여 요약된 시퀀스로 보여줄 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 이러한 관점에서 봤을 때 동영상은 시간적 순서에 따라 프레임이 배열되어 있고 인근 프레임 간에는 Coherence가 존재한다는 장점이 있다. 따라서 우리는 이러한 장점을 최대한 이용하여 동영상의 요약 시퀀스를 생성하기 위해 일차적으로 필요한 유사 프레임을 비교할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 각 프레임의 공간적인 정보를 활용 할 수 있는 특징점 기반의 기법과, 각 프레임의 색 분포 정보를 활용 할 수 있는 히스토그램 기반의 기법을 Hybrid하게 적용하여 유사 프레임을 판단한다. 제안한 기법을 통해 도출한 결과를 통계학적으로 검증을 위해 널리 사용되는 Precision과 Recall을 이용하여 검증한다.

  • 최근 방송 사용 음악에 대한 저작권료 배분의 투명성을 위하여 방송음악 식별 기술에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 음악 DNA라 부르는 음악의 신호적 특징을 이용하는 기존의 음악식별 기술이 존재하지만, 방송 배경음악의 특성으로 인해 방송 사용 음악 식별에 그대로 활용하기는 어렵다. 방송이나 영화에 사용되는 배경음악은 우리가 일상생활에서 주로 소비하는 가요나 팝과 같은 음악과 비교하여 그 수가 매우 많고, 하나의 음악 테마에 대하여 조금씩 다르게 편곡한 유사 음악들이 다수 존재한다. 즉, 방송 배경음악을 식별을 위해서는 유사한 음악이 많은 대규모 음악 DB를 대상으로 잡음이 섞여 있는 음악을 식별하여야 한다. 한편, 대부분의 음악 식별 시스템은 빠른 검색을 위하여 모든 데이터를 메모리에 올려두고 처리하는 방식으로 동작하는데, 대규모 음악 DB를 지원하기 위해서는 시스템 자원을 적게 사용하면서도 식별율이 떨어지지 않는 특징 추출 파라미터와 인덱싱 파라미터를 찾는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구사항을 만족하는 배경음악 특징의 추출방법과 이 특징을 효율적으로 검색할 수 있도록 하는 검색 구조를 기술한다.

  • 일차생산은 화학합성 또는 광합성에 의하여 무기탄소가 유기물질로 전환되는 것을 의미한다. 수중의 일차생산자는 광합성을 통하여 유기물을 해당 수역에 공급하는 기능을 수행하며, 이는 수역의 상위 먹이 단계의 총생산력을 결정하는 주요 구성원이다. 한강은 하류로 갈수록 유속이 느리지만 수심이 깊어져 부착조류가 서식하기 쉽지 않은 환경이기에 대부분의 일차생산자는 식물플랑크톤이다. 과거 1994년 이후로 2017년까지 5년 간격으로 총 6회 연구된 결과, 해당 하천의 부영양화가 여름철에 발생하였다. 팔당댐 방류량과 지류의 유입에 의한 유기물 증가로 하천 내 1차 생산의 기여도가 증가하고 있으며, 이는 유기물 근원을 판정하여 수질오염에 대한 처리대책을 위해 지속적으로 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 한강본류에서 식물플랑크톤의 일차생산력을 조사하고, 유기물의 분해속도를 측정하여 당해 유역의 유기물 수지를 추정하여 한강 고유의 특성을 파악하여 부영양화에 의한 유기물 증가로 발생할 수 있는 수질오염을 예측하고자 한다. 조사유역은 한강의 팔당댐 방류구로부터 신곡수중보까지 전 구역 중 총 12개의 지점을 선정하였다. 기간은 2021년 5월부터 2022년 3월까지 계절별 2회로 총 8회 조사를 실시하였으며, 한강본류에서는 식물플랑크톤의 산소소비법을 통해 일차생산력과 유기물 분해속도를 조사하여 내부기원 유기물을 측정하였고, 한강본류로 유입되는 4개의 유입하천에서는 COD를 조사하여 외부기원 유기물을 측정하여 한강에서 발생하는 총유기물량을 산정하였다.

A Reflection on the Consumer Culture in the Post-COVID 19 Era from the Lens of Christian Education: Learning from the Drama, Penthouse (포스트 코로나 시대의 소비문화에 대한 기독교교육의 성찰 : 드라마 「펜트하우스」를 중심으로)

  • As a contemporary exponent of Bauderillard's Simulation and Simulacra, this paper aims to reflect on the 'consumer culture' criticized by Baudrillard from the lens of Christian Education in reading the Drama, Penthouse related to the notions of the consumption-ideology, the desire and violence of image in the post-Covid 19 era. As Baudrillard begins to realize that the concept of simulation rooted from mass media in the modern society, he explains mass media as the emerging of Simulation or the process of Simulation will lead to the impulsion of reality, which ends up with vanishing the original reality. Baudrillard is explaining in his argument that the process of Simulation proceeds among various areas of the contemporary society being manipulated by mass media. While Simulation is the process of producing the hyperreality characterized by the excess of images that seems more real than the original reality, Simulation brought about Simulacra as excess reality or consequently exploding reality. Christian educators in the post-Covid 19 must know how to deal with critical theory by considering positive ways of avoiding questioning of how to articulate what the norm of universal consensus is in the specific situation. In other words, it should be noted that the nature of the ruling ideology and the ideology of consumption has been influenced or manipulated by mass media. Christian educators especially have to help young people in seeing the messages from the images of the screens, television, soap-opera, and commercial advertising making reality as Simulacre which is more real than the original reality. When the medium becomes the message, the power of medium makes the consumer not reach communication with it. This is the main reason in the controversy about the images on television drama, Penthouse and the impact of images on people's mind. As an exponent of McLuhan's belief that "the medium is the message", Baudrillard argues although the message and a subject of Simulacra(excessive reality) is unexpectedly disappearing, the medium itself is vanished through the silence of image. However, the task of Christian education has to fuel how we teach, learn, share and pass on the Word of God as the Message. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the Message of God cannot be vanished or burst with the impulsion of it, but exists forever. With Baudrillard's ideas of Simulation and Simulacra in mind, the work of Christian education as an observation platform can better engage the reflection on a consumer society of consumerism that makes Church community and a consumer irresistible against the Fake world.

Grain Yield Potential of a Low-Tillering Large Panicle Type in Rice (벼 소얼 수중형 초형의 수량성)

  • For the increase of grain yield potential in rice, a low-tillering large panicled type has been suggested as an ideotype. A low-tillering plant type may have different yield potential and needs different cultural practices from that used in a high-tillering type for the maximum yield. This study was conducted to evaluate the grain yield performances of a low-tillering large panicled rice and high-tillering small panicled rice at different plant spacings, nitrogen(N) levels and seedling numbers per hill. A low-tillering large panicled genotype, IR25588 was compared with a high-tillering small panicled IR58. The grain yield of IR25588 was significantly higher than that of IR58 under a narrow spacing with high N level. The maximum yields of IR58 and IR25588 were reached at about 35,000 and 40,000 spikelets per m$^2$, respectively. The increased grain yield in IR25588 was mainly due to the increase in spikelet number per unit area which is the most precise indicator of grain yield in rice. The optimum spacing for the maximum yield was denser for IR25588 than that for IR58 under high N level. The intra-hill competition of the low-tillering type was lower than that of the high-tillering type. The higher dry matter production and bigger leaf area and culm weight were the main factors for increased grain yield in a low-tillering panicle weight type. Based on the results, the yield potential of a low-tillering panicle weight type was higher than that of a high-tillering panicle number type, especially under a close spacing with high N level.

Development of Small Vascular Bundles at Different Tillers as Affected by Nitrogen Levels in Rice Plants (질소시용수준이 수도 분얼경의 소유관속 발육에 미치는 영향)

  • The experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of nitrogen application on the development of small vascular bundle in the rice plants. Two cultivars, IR58, an indica type and Unbong 7, a japonica type were used in this study. The number of small vascular bundles in peduncle of different tillers was increased with the increase of nitrogen level. In the main culm, number of small vascular bundles at higher nitrogen level was increased by 39% in IR58 and 24% in Unbong 7 compared with nitrogen free plot. The main culm had more small vascular bundles in the peduncle and number of small vascular bundle was decreased with later tiller order and tiller development. The number and cross sectional area of small vascular bundles in flag leaf blade and sheath of main culm were increased with increasing levels of nitrogen. The number of small vascular bundles in peduncle was highly correlated with the number of spikelets and grain weight per panicle.

Analysis of Vitamin K1 in Commonly Consumed Foods in Korea (국내에서 소비되는 상용 식품의 비타민 K1 함량 분석)

  • Vitamin $K_1$ (phylloquinone) content of commonly consumed foods in Korea were determined by solvent extraction followed by reversed-phase liquid chromatography using post-column derivatization and fluorescence detection. Samples were obtained in the years of 2013 and 2015. In this study, 46 vegetables, 14 fruits, and 6 legumes were analyzed. Relatively higher amounts of vitamin $K_1$ were found in sweet potato leaves, green kiwi, and mung beans among vegetables, fruits, and legumes, respectively. The content of vitamin $K_1$ in vegetables including spinach, broccoli, and potato ranged from non-detectable (ND) to $1,467.3{\mu}g/100g$. The content of vitamin $K_1$ in fruits ranged from ND to $42.7{\mu}g/100g$. The content of vitamin $K_1$ in legumes, including soybeans, mung beans and peas ranged from 1.7 to $63.4{\mu}g/100g$. In addition, the analytical method validation parameters including recovery, reproducibility, repeatability, peak purity, and linearity were calculated to ensure the method's validity. The results showed high linearity with a correlation coefficient of 0.9999. Overall recovery was close to 100% (n=5). This study revealed reliable vitamin K content in commonly consumed foods in Korea for a nutritional information and food composition database.

Future of Stereoscopic 3D through the Analysis of Realistic Media Art (실감미디어 아트 분석을 통한 3D 입체영상의 미래 조망)

  • Generally today's culture and the arts industry has been focusing more on economic value than the arts. Therefore this paper will elucidate the meaning of the culture and the arts can be a break though which can only include commercial and economic values but transcend its values ultimately. First of all, this paper will suggest an advanced 3D stereoscopic images by analysis of examples and environments of realistic media arts. Looking into the changes of related technologies and market environments, the motion-recognition technology, as seem in SF film "Minority report", has become a feasible technology. In the past, 3D stereoscopic images were shown in the theme park theatre and exhibition halls for group viewing. but recent 3D TV and display devices have changed those environments to personal. Since domestic researches of realistic media art has been little, this paper will analyze them respecting to three broad classifications. The results are : Firstly, in CAVE method, more impact capabilities of spectators are expected that they can manipulate interactive interfaces freely and the physical movements of spectators can operate interactively. Secondly, inter-network communications and expansion of viewers' perceptions are predicted by way of HMD method, sensor suites and communication equipments. Thirdly, combinations of HMD and motion tracking utilization is foreseen. With the convergent usages of these three features, we can prospect the possibilities of interactive 4D that spectators wearing 3D stereoscopic display devices can experience and make their own 3D stereoscopic images actively at the point of their views.

From Multivalent Mediality to Cross-Sector Synergy: The Archetypal Function of Dramatized Blockbuster Ballad Music Videos in Hallyu Entertainment (한류 컨텐츠의 원형으로서의 서사적 블록버스터 발라드 뮤직 비디오 고찰)

  • The rise of Hallyu (Korean Wave) has generated a treasury of historiographic and cultural inquiries into the phenomenal success of South Korea's media entertainment industry. Whereas the majority of such studies focus on TV dramas and popular music, there is a medium, or rather a hybrid sub-genre within the medium category of short films, that must be reexamined and thus appreciated as the archetypal predecessor of popular Hallyu contents: music videos. The rapidly changing social, political, and economic climate in the mid- to late 1990s called for content that would grasp the attention of a younger, increasingly mobile population with diversified interests and routines that no longer guaranteed fixed-time viewership. Meanwhile, the advent of cable TV channels and high-speed internet service ensured greater temporal and infrastructural accessibility. The media entertainment industry's response to the new opportunities and challenges arising from these sudden growths in the scale, range, connectivity, and mobility of consumer demographics was synergetic cross-sector collaboration in the form of dramatized blockbuster music videos, which combined two popular and lucrative genres: trendy dramas and ballad music. In this essay, by relocating Hallyu's archetypal medium/genre, I claim that increasing upward and sideways mobility across sectors not only inspired new production but also reconfigured the very concept, form, and impact of media-driven cultural imaginary in South Korea.
