The objective of this study is to analyze influential factors of sustainable consumption behavior in mobile videophone services using TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). The results of data analysis by SPSS 12.0 show that perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use, videophone service quality, concentration, and use of videophone service by acquaintances exert significant influence on continuous use for videophone services. But 'the level of neighbor's videophone possession and use, videophone charge, videophone quality, and privacy' as moderating variables haven't significant influence on extended use.

멀티미디어시대를 맞이하여 미국, 영국 등 여러 선진각국에서는 멀티미디어의 핵심서비스인 대화형 영상서비스 VDT(Video Dial Tone)을 시험/시범적으로 제공하고 있다고 보도되고 있지만 실제로는 일반가입자에게 상용화에 근접한 서비스를 제공하지 못하는 실정이다. 한국통신에서 제공중인 전화비디오는 비록 소규모이지만 아시아권내에서 최초로 일반가입자에게 안정된 영상서비스를 지난 11월부터 반포전화국지역에 제공하고 있다. 본 고에서는 서비스구현에 필수적인 비디오서버 요구조건을 제시하고 한국통신에서 도입한 RAIS비디오서버를 중심으로 구조적특성, 구성원리 및 S/W운용체계를 알아본다.

Without a question. the most significant new medium for transmitting information is the Internet. Unfortunately. the multimedia elements that enrich our titles are extremely bulky. While the Internet hype is available in unlimited supply. Internet bandwidth and functionality of web browser are not making the net quite hospitable to multimedia data formats. In this thesis. for smoother and better communications over the net. a study is done on still image compression techniques. based on wavelet transform which is selected on MPEG-4 as a still image compression standard and a strong candidate for the JPEG-2000 standard. For Internet service. the study of plug-in programming and ActiveX control is implemented to enrich the functionality of web browser. As a result. the proposed still image service gives better image quality than current standard JPEG and does not yield to the common blocking artifacts.

In this paper, a cyber space for multimedia conference is designed and implemented using gatekeeper and web service which satisfies H.323 standards. The implemented gatekeeper manages a registration and a call control for H.323 video conference terminals. The implemented gate-keeper can manage registered users efficiently with directory services using web service. Also, software maintenance of video conference system is established by service provider instead of users using control download on web. finally, we present the practical use of video conference through various applications of directory services.

In Korean society, digital contents such as VCC has introduced a new medium of advertisement and has become a culture. This research aims to investigate consumer characteristics for different types of consumption patterns for services dealing with digital contents. A total of 96 statements were extracted from literature review and popular press articles and 39 participants participated in this study. The results show 6 types of consumption patterns: Gak-jang-ee, Second-level Celebrity, Viewers, Politicians, Humanists, and Paris Hilton. These groups demonstrate consumer's behavioral characteristics and personal values. This study is meaningful in that it provides an insight for marketing strategies for corporations dealing with digital contents such as VCC.

In daily life if a condoler receive a notice of a person's death who he/she know, he/she generally have the deepest regret and offer condolence money. Also an enterpriser or private chairman send a floral tribute. But it has some problem to occur a abuse according in reuse and an environmental pollution in process of trash. In this paper it is suggested an business model for the condolence service using images, floral tributes and letters of condolence made of images, in the funeral place which is an alternation to reduce the problem. And it is structured and implemented a service model that displays floral tributes made of dynamic images to a large monitor installed on wall in condoler room of funeral place. As a result it is showed that a service of floral tributes made of images may be realized to be given web site of servicing images for the condolence.

서비스 로봇은 효과적인 작업 수행을 위해 장소 인식을 정확하고 빠르게 할 필요가 있다. 이러한 장소 인식을 위해 영상 센서를 사용하여 데이터베이스와 비교하여 장소를 인식하는 방식이 많이 사용되고 있다. 현재 사용 가능한 영상 데이터베이스는 하나의 공간에서 다양하게 얻을 수 있는 영상을 수집하여 갖추고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 SEFEX database는 병원 실내에서 촬영된 영상 데이터베이스로 총 25개 촬영장소 (회전 영상 촬영 장소 15가지, 주행 영상 촬영 장소 10가지), 기준 영상 총 100장 (회전 영상 : 60장, 주행영상: 40장)과 시험 영상 총 250장 (회전 영상 : 150장, 주행 영상: 100장)의 사진으로 구성되어 있다. 이 영상 데이터베이스를 이용하여 제조사나 연구자가 장소 인식 성능 평가의 척도나 알고리즘의 평가 척도로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 예상되며, 새로운 장소 인식 방법의 개발 등의 장소 인식 분야에 사용될 것으로 기대된다.

정보 통신과 의료 기술의 성장에 의해 의사는 이동 중 무선망을 통하여 인터넷 서비스에 접근이 가능해졌고 필요한 정보를 제공받을 수 있게 되었다. 또한 컴퓨터 그래픽의 기술은 통신 기술과 접목하여 무선네트워크를 이용한 의료 영상 전송이 가능해졌다. 그러나 기존 시스템들은 의사가 필요로 하는 의료정보를 저장하는 수준인 데이터 (의료 영상 정보) 중심의 의료 영상 전송 시스템 (Picture Archiving Communication System) 달이다. 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 의료 영상 전송 시스템은 의사의 현재 상황을 기반으로 한 서비스 전송을 요구 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 변화된 의사의 상황에 적합한 지능형 서비스를 제공하기위해 의사 중심의 의료 영상 정보 전송 미들웨어 (Doctor Centric PACS Middleware) 모델을 제안하다.

최근 통신 환경의 진화와 고사양 모바일 단말기의 대중화로 인하여 모바일 통신 환경에서 동영상 서비스를 이용하는 사용자가 급증하고 있다. 사용자들은 제한적인 데이터 사용량을 이용하여 필요한 영상을 효율적으로 검색 및 탐색하기 위하여 미리보기 서비스 또는 Thumbnail을 이용한다. 이 중 Thumbnail은 동영상의 복호화 과정에서 제공되는 서비스이며, 이를 효과적으로 추출하는데 있어서 낮은 복잡도의 기술들이 사용되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 영상의 히스토그램의 특징을 이용한 Thumbnail 추출 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 추출 기법에서는 각 영상의 히스토그램을 비교 및 분석하여 하나의 video을 다수의 구간으로 분할하고, 각 구간의 대표 Thumbnail을 추출하는 방법을 사용한다. 다양한 영상을 이용한 실험 결과는 제안하는 알고리즘이 효과적으로 Thumbnail을 추출함을 보여준다.

본 논문에서는 H.323 영상회의 표준을 만족하는 영상회의 영역을 관리를 위한 게이트키퍼를 구현하고, 기본적인 영상회의 시스템에서의 단점인 등록된 사용자 정보에 대한 일반 사용자의 접근 미비로 인한 불편함과 사용자가 모든 제어를 직접 해서 생기는 오류 등을 해결하고자 웹 서비스와의 연동을 통한 사이버공간을 구현한다 또한, 웹 서비스를 이용함으로써, 영상회의 소프트웨어의 유지 보수를 사용자가 아닌 서비스 제공자가 직접하게 하여 보다 더 효율적인 영상회의 시스템의 관리를 위한 방향을 제시한다.
