Development of Medical Examination and Treatment System for Dental Clinic (치과병원 전산화를 위한 통합 진료 시스템 구축)

  • Unlike a medical doctor, a dentist performs all the tasks necessary for diagnosis and treatment of a disease all by himself. To increase the diagnostic accuracy, dentists need an efficient working environment providing much more integrated information of clinical data and radiographic image. In this paper, we propose an integrated environment for the dental hospital. It provides paperless and filmless hospital environment by integrating seamlessly three major operations for the dental hospital including patient record generation and management, clinical image acquisition and analysis, and treatment planning and simulation. This system also allows clinicians to provide more predictable dental care for the patients by supporting instant access to all the clinical data and quantitative data analysis.

  • 'Kite' is a newly developed single-channel seismic imaging system capable of producing high resolution three dimensional images of subbottom geology in one traverse of a survey region. The system consists of a horizontally towed hydrophone array and active source. The hydrophone array is towed axis perpendicular to ship direction and the airgun source at the end of the hydrophone array is excited at timed intervals during the progression. The construction of the three dimensional subbottom image was made simply by using conventional multichannel seismic reflection data processing techniques. Common source shot (CSS) gathers of the hydrophone traces are evaluated using Dix's equation for average interval velocity of each subbottom layer. From the interval velocity profile and the normal consolidation stress condition, values of shear modulus, porosity, and shear velocity are deduced from the chosen values of physical constants. The system has been successfully tested at several locations on the North Atlantic continental shelf.

  • Smart surveillance, is the use of automatic video analysis technologies in video surveillance applications. We present a robust object tracking method using pan-tilt-zoom camera for intelligent surveillance System, As the result of the experiment using 78 vehicle, the success rate of the tracking for moving object & non-moving object werw 97.4% and 91%. and 84.6%. the success rate o PTZ control for license plate image.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰을 이용한 3 차원 인체 복원 시스템을 제안한다. 모바일에서의 인체 복원은 디바이스상의 한계로 인해 기기와 서버 간에 인체 모델링 과정을 분할하여 처리한다. 분할된 인체모델링 과정은 복원 과정과 출력 과정으로 나뉘게 되며 안드로이드 기반의 스마트폰을 사용하여 취득한 영상을 서버로 전송하고 3 차원 인체 복원을 수행하게 된다. 3 차원 복원 알고리즘은 인체 변형 모델을 기반으로 3 차원 모델로부터 2 차원 영상으로의 투영을 통해 최적의 자세 및 체형 매개변수를 추정하고 복원된 결과는 모바일로 전송되어 복원된 모델링 결과를 출력한다.

Image Fusion of High Resolution SAR and Optical Image Using High Frequency Information (고해상도 SAR와 광학영상의 고주파 정보를 이용한 다중센서 융합)

  • Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) imaging system is independent of solar illumination and weather conditions; however, SAR image is difficult to interpret as compared with optical images. It has been increased interest in multi-sensor fusion technique which can improve the interpretability of $SAR^{\circ\circ}$ images by fusing the spectral information from multispectral(MS) image. In this paper, a multi-sensor fusion method based on high-frequency extraction process using Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) and outlier elimination process is proposed, which maintain the spectral content of the original MS image while retaining the spatial detail of the high-resolution SAR image. We used TerraSAR-X which is constructed on the same X-band SAR system as KOMPSAT-5 and KOMPSAT-2 MS image as the test data set to evaluate the proposed method. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method, the fusion result was compared visually and quantitatively with the result obtained using existing fusion algorithms. The evaluation results showed that the proposed image fusion method achieved successful results in the fusion of SAR and MS image compared with the existing fusion algorithms.

  • 컴퓨터와 인터넷의 발달로 과거에는 서적이나 신문과 같은 종이를 통하여 공급되던 정보들이 전자문서로 바뀌고 있고, 전자문서에서는 색상 정보를 동반한 그래픽과 영상 정보의 비중이 크게 높아지고 있다. 그러나 색상 인식 기능이 없거나 손상된 색각 장애자의 경우 전자 문서에서 색상으로 전달하는 중요한 정보를 인지하지 못하여 정보 취득의 평등권이 침해당하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 윈도우즈를 운영체계로 하는 컴퓨터에서 적록 색맹 및 색약을 가진 색각 장애자를 위하여 전자 문서상에서 제공되는 색상을 변환하여 보정하는 색각 보정 시스템을 설계하고 구현하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다. 개발된 시스템은 여러 문서를 동시에 사용할 때에도 적용된 보정 색상이 유지된다.

Image Processing for 3-D Shape Estimation of Specular Reflection (경면반사체의 3차원 형상 추정을 위한 영상처리)

  • A method to estimate the 3-D shape of surface with specular reflection is proposed, where the difference between the images reflected from a flat surface and a curved surface is used. First, we analyzed the geometry of the spatial reflection at specular surface and the variation of reflected light due to curved surface, whose results are used to estimate 3-D shape. The proposed method is shown to be effective via experiments using the illumination with spatially distributed light source and the CCD camera to capture the light reflected from a surface. In experiments, the captured images from curved surface with specular reflection are processed to approximately estimate 3-D shape.

  • Recently, the development project is conducting disaster effect estimation to breed disaster, and cope these disaster beforehand provoking soil erosion and flood. Therefore, it is important to analyze and reduce of these disaster. In this study, it is intended to extract LS and C factors of soil erosion through the digital image. The photogrammetric technique, which employs the Remote Control Helicopter equipped with a non-metric digital camera, was used for the efficient survey and analysis of cutting slopes. As a result, we obtain more objective value of soil erosion factor using digital image.

Boundary Depth Estimation Using Hough Transform and Focus Measure (허프 변환과 초점정보를 이용한 경계면 깊이 추정)

  • Depth estimation is often required for robot vision, 3D modeling, and motion control. Previous method is based on the focus measures which are calculated for a series of image by a single camera at different distance between and object. This method, however, has disadvantage of taking a long time for calculating the focus measure since the mask operation is performed for every pixel in the image. In this paper, we estimates the depth by using the focus measure of the boundary pixels located between the objects in order to minimize the depth estimate time. To detect the boundary of an object consisting of a straight line and a circle, we use the Hough transform and estimate the depth by using the focus measure. We performed various experiments for PCB images and obtained more effective depth estimation results than previous ones.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm for a mobile robot that detects and tracks a moving target, keeping it in the view range of the robot. The sensor system consists of a camera and a line light source. The camera system is placed so that the line light projected into the ground from the light source forms its image along the horizontal center line of the CCD array of the camera. The deformation of the line image from the horizontal center line contains the information on existence of a moving object, its velocity, and position. Since the proposed algorithm reduces the region of the image to be searched, it reduces the computational complexity significantly comparing to the conventional image processing algorithms. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been tested by implementing on a mobile robot.
