A Study of Aleksandr Vampilov's Play and Film (알렉산드르 밤필로프 희곡의 영상화 연구 《9월의 휴가》를 중심으로)

  • "Duck Hunting" is the most psychological play with unique structure written by Aleksandr Vampilov. The play describes protagonist hero's furious behavior with psychological instability, therefore, this play tends to be recognized as serious and complicated one. After the death of Vampilov, "Duck Hunting" was reproduced as a film, titled as "Vacation in September." This study is designed to shed light on the play's psychological-dramatic factors by focusing on the structure of narrative and spatial-temporal objet. Also, this study compared the screenshots of the play with their textual meanings, then concentrated on main character's psychological features. By focusing on protagonist hero's mind, this study tries to look into the features of the play and its meanings for modern period. The film's plot is a kind of story telling structure based on main character's memory. The short stories of main character represents that Jilov(main character's name)'s losing his own life. The audience can acknowledge that Jilov's life as a duck hunter who is cynical, ideological, lazy, and self-interest oriented person. This play provokes the audience to compare their life to Jilov's one because such comparison helps the audience recognize their lives as surplus style of life with nihilism. Jilov as a character represents one of Soviet's generation with the feeling of great loss in 1960s.

시니어 극단의 현황과 사례 연구 - 일본의 경우를 중심으로

  • 본 논문은 일본의 시니어 극단 현황과 구체적인 사례를 조사하여 고령화 사회에 있어서 그 의미와 역할의 가능성을 고찰하는 데에 목적이 있다. 특히 최근 국내에서도 시니어 연극제가 개최되는 등, '노인 극단'이라는 이름 아래 고령자들이 직접 참여하는 연극 프로그램이 개발되고 있다는 점에서, 일본의 사례는 참고할만한 사례가 될 것으로 기대된다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 우선 일본의 시니어 극단들의 활동 상황, 그리고 이렇게 활성화된 배경에는 어떠한 요소가 있는지 고찰해보았다. 일본 연극계에 이미 오랜 기간 연극을 즐기는 시니어 관객층이 존재했고, 또 주요 극단들이 그들을 주요 타깃으로 한 전략개발과 서비스가 행해지고 있었다는 점은 국내 상황과 다른 부분이었다. 그러나 니나가와 유키오 연출가가 이끄는 '사이타마 골드시어터'의 창단과 그 성과는 커다란 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 보인다. 전위적인 희곡을 가지고, 일본뿐 아니라 유럽과 아시아에서 예술성을 인정받은 극단이기 때문이다. 작품 활동뿐 아니라 실질적인 운영 내용을 파악하기 위해, 제작자와 배우의 인터뷰를 실시한 결과, 사실상 젊은 극단들과 차이가 없다는 사실도 알 수 있었다. 이러한 사례는 시니어 극단이 가질 수 있는 가능성의 범위를 넓혔다는 점에서 매우 유의미하다. 국내의 시니어 연극계에 긍정적인 자극이 되기 바라며, 보다 더 많은 데이터를 수집하는 것을 금후 과제로 한다.

  • Current YouTube recommends similar contents to users based on the contents they actually consumed. Due to the feature of these algorithms, users are well recommended for contents in similar fields, but it is difficult to be recommended contents in fields that have never been consumed. There is a limit to being widely recommended for videos. I want to solve this problem by utilizing crowd sourcing. I propose a platform that can be recommended for various channels, through direct participation of the public people using youtube. Users can be recommended a variety of channels, communicate with people in the channel discussion room, and at the same time generate revenue by recommending channels. I hope that this platform can be used in various crowd sourcing-based recommendation platforms.

  • In computer vision, an image of a measurement target is acquired using a camera. And feature values, vectors, and regions are detected by applying algorithms and library functions. The detected data is calculated and analyzed in various forms depending on the purpose of use. Computer vision is being used in various places, especially in the field of automatically recognizing automobile parts or measuring the quality. Computer vision is being used as the term machine vision in the industrial field, and it is connected with artificial intelligence to judge product quality or predict results. In this study, a vision system for judging the quality of automobile parts was built, and the results were compared by applying five machine learning classification models to the produced data.

  • This study conducted YouTube network analysis on YouTube video related with prevention of COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccine to explores how government's policy is spread via social media in the condition of COVID-19. As a result of network analysis on the Mask chaos, A surge in confirmed cases, supply of vaccine, the influence of media like YTN and KBS is large, their view count is high. Government highlights to inform correct information actively to face negative massage and misinformation. The media has to fact check on the misinformation and disinformation.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Gratifications Obtained (GO) on behavioral intention targeting Over-the-Top (OTT). The study chooses quality of content, variety of content, leisure activity, entertainment, the convenience of watching, and reasonable rate ratio as factors of GO. The number of subjects for the research is 330 people aged from their twenties to thirties in Daegu and Gyeongbok province. This study employs multi-regression analysis to analyze the impacts of GO on behavioral intention. The analysis shows that quality of content and variety of content influence behavioral intention at a significance level of 0.01, and entertainment and the convenience of watching influence at a significance level of 0.05.

  • For maintenance of concrete structures, it is necessary to identify and maintain various defects. With the current method, there are problems with efficiency, safety, and reliability when inspecting large-scale social infrastructure, so it is necessary to introduce a new inspection method. Recently, with the development of deep learning technology for images, concrete defect classification research is being actively conducted. However, studies on contamination and spalling other than cracks are limited. In this study, a variety of concrete defect type classification models were developed through transfer learning on a pre-learned deep learning model, factors that reduce accuracy were derived, and future development directions were presented. This is expected to be highly utilized in the field of concrete maintenance in the future.

A Study on the Ethical Function about the Animation Films and Educational Methods of the Brigham Young University (브리그험 영 대학교의 교육방법과 애니메이션 작품에 대한 윤리적 기능에 대한 탐구)

  • Animation as a public visuals media have been expanding increasingly its social and cultural influences beyond the ages and nations on the basis of global consumption. However, animation increases the negative impact in modern popular culture, and in regard to this, 'the recovery of ethics' should be considered in a reflexive and educational perspectives for the social role of animation. Thus, the research addresses the animation films of Brigham Young University students which contain a ethical values and receive attention by New York Times, etc. as a successful educational model. To do this, firstly, literature has reviewed by focusing on the negative impact of animation, 1) violence, 2) excessive sensationalism, 3) confusion of cultural identity, 4) gender discrimination, and 5) distorted view of history. Secondly, the education system of animation course at Brigham Young University will be analysed. Thirdly, based on this, the case study will be conducted by focusing on the 13 animation films of students to reveal the characteristics of the way of film direction. Through this research, firstly, most of animation films are comic genre, consisting of children and animal characters, family-friendly and lyrical story style and deployment of coincidental and allegoric incident. Thirdly, the religious spirit and multidisciplinary methods of education in Brigham Young University has influenced to the ethical expression and technical perfection in animation filmmaking. In the light of this, the research and suggests the new paradigm is for the practical disciplines of animation in the restoration of the ethical perspective and explores how the animation production adopts the moral significance.

The Practical Suggestion for the Production of Educational Animation for Prevention of Safety Accidents (안전사고 예방을 위한 교육용 애니메이션 제작에 대한 실천적 제안)

  • The Korean society has become increasingly concerned about the safety consciousness because of the Sewol Ferry disaster in April 2014. This shows the absence of social system and safety consciousness of Korean society that has been rapidly growing through fast industrialization. The purpose of this paper is to suggest guidelines for the production of a safety animation by approaching the discourse of public value. For this research process, first, literature review will be conducted by focusing on the safety culture, causes of safety accidents, safety education and educational effect using animation. Second, I will analyze 11 safety animation films by focusing on (1) construction of accident environment(narrative, character and background design) (2) exploration of dangerous elements and accident happening(accident type and dangerous elements, method of direction for accident happening, damage degree) (3) the guideline for safety behaviour. Third, guidelines for the production of safety animation will be suggested by analyzing the results of literature reviews and case studies in a comprehensive way. It is expected that this paper will be used as a basic data for academic research and animation production related to the safety accident.

Korean Broadcasting Laws under the WTO Service Negotiation (WTO 서비스 협상과 국내 방송규제: 정책적 대응 및 규제정비의 필요성)

  • As globalization of communication is going on and as the media have become increasingly central to the world economy, media policy matters have become the province of world economic organizations like the IMF and the WTO. The WTO service negotiation is focused primarily on the discriminatory and quantitative barriers associated with the trade of audiovisual services. Domestic measures such as subsidization, content regulation including quotas, and licensing requirements and restrictions on foreign ownership and control are at issues here. These measures have been successfully implemented by countries wishing to withstand competition from the American audiovisual industry. The debate about trade in audiovisual services is permeated by the unstated assumption that these programs are pure commodities whose production, distribution, exhibition and in turn, values are solely determined by the market forces. It is therefore presumed that liberalization of trade in audiovisual services will benefit all, serving cultural pluralism and diversity as well as economic efficiency. However, this assumption is not shared by developing countries, the recipients of U.S. television material. They argue audiovisual sector requires a social and cultural approach, since it plays a key role in the preservation of people's identity and social bonds. They claim that it is the each state's right to define its media policy and to implement it through the means it considers fit. These clashing views over the nature of the audiovisual material and the ways in which protect cultural pluralism and diversity do not confine to be the realm of theoretical debate. Each state's interest and motivation to protect its local industry and to have a competitive advantage in the international market is working in this battle. Consolidation with the countries like Australia, Canada, and EU nations, in favour of cultural exemption, seems to be the best policy for us. However, we are not entirely free from the WTO pressures, considering relation to the U. S. This study analyzes Korean Broadcasting Law compared with those of other OECD countries and tries to propose some strategical guidelines facing WTO service negotiation in the area of broadcasting.
