In the field of fashion in this modern era, the tendency of diversification has created a variety of hybrid patterns and this tendency is being accelerated simultaneously by the hybrid trend. This research aims to analyze the aesthetic features of hybrid fashion in the modern "Sports Inspired Fashion(SIF)." We analyze fashion in the past 10 years from 2001 S/S to 2010 S/S. We focus on the four largest worldwide collections from New York, Paris, Milano, and London and concentrate on analyzing the contents from 38 volumes of Gap Press magazine. To accomplish our goal of study, we first define the concept of sports-inspired fashion and propose a framework of analysis to study hybrid patterns by reviewing the previous studies on hybrid patterns. Second, we analyze a wide range of sports-inspired fashion examples that have appeared in Gap Press magazines for the past 10 years(those which have been inspired by sports uniforms and training wears). Third, we analyze and classify the hybrid patterns of sports-inspired fashion. The results of our research are as follows. We have collected a total of 534 SIF works from the whole set of 61359 pictures and examined 23 sports fields. In terms of seasonal changes, the SIF works were found the most in the spring collections. Then, we have identified 25 hybrid patterns. The time hybrid pattern comprises more than half of the data(58.2%). The class-culture hybrid patterns comprise 18.8%, while the gender hybrid patterns comprise 18.2%. However, the intercultural hybrid patterns were rarely found, comprising merely 5% of the data. Our analysis confirms that sports and sports wear fashion are changing and developing in truly diverse ways in this modern era. This trend has continued to influence the high fashion in the modern age and is expected to exert a continuous impact on the change of fashion in the future.

Creation by human starts from ascribed situation. That means creating new relationships among seemingly unrelated things. The art production process requires creativity which materializes the inspiration emerging as an image. The production of sculpture utilizing waste is creative in regard of its advantage of being easy to recognize since it de-categorizes ascribed things and needs an overall view of considering decomposed sculpture elements syntagmatically according to the new image. Students have different point of view and develop creativity and originality in their curiosity of seeking something new, observing things of their vision, the standard of using material and in the process of selecting the materials, etc. This research suggests an extensive creativity education of producing sculpture, which implies the environmental consciousness and life respect, by means of change their recognition about seemingly meaningless waste.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the possibility of creating new theatrical contents by performance anthropological approach. Today's traditional performing arts are historically descended and developed in the forms of Ahk, Hee, and Geuk. Among those, Dongrae-yaru is a traditional mask dance, handed down in Dongrae, Pusan and appointed as the 18th intangible cultural asset. Its performance is carried out in the juxtaposition of Ahk, Hee, and Geuk. Korean theatre in the 21st century seems going back to realism after going through post-modern cultural phenomenons. However, the quest for alternative theatre is raised higher than ever. As a part of this strive, this paper asserts the traditional performing arts should be investigated as an alternative and new theatrical form. Among those traditional performing arts, Dongrae-yaru is selected for its well balanced combination of Ahk, Hee, and Geuk. The study examines in depth how each element of Ahk, Hee, and Geuk, they are expressed in forms of folk music, refined dance, jest, satire, wit. Its investigation on the stage adaptation provides the possibility for the new style and codification as the new theatre contents.

This paper presents a nature-inspired wideband sprout-leaf shaped antenna with end-fire radiation pattern. A sprout-leaf shape angled-radiator was designed for wide beamwidth radiation patterns for motion detection sensors. An extended and truncated ground plane was used as a reflector for end-fire radiation patterns. To feed the balanced radiator, a broadband microstrip (MS) to coplanar stripline (CPS) balun was utilized with excellent amplitude and phase balance. The proposed antenna demonstrates wide frequency bandwidth from 8.5 to 14.5 GHz with wide beamwidth and the radiation efficiency of 90%. The measured gain is from 4 to 5 dBi and front-to-back ratio was 10 to 20 dB. It has been shown that the proposed antenna can be used for imaging sensors, phased array systems, and radars that require a wide bandwidth and a directional radiation pattern.

This study analyzes French designer Hedi Slimane who has received recent attention from the fashion world. He changed sub-culture 'Rock Fashion' into high fashion and altered the stereotype of the existing menswear with the skinny look. His extreme slim-fit style also has changed the menswear market dramatically. Hedi Slimane was mainly inspired by various rock music genres from the 1960 to 2000s such as glam rock, psychedelic rock, grunge rock, and garage rock. He showed in his own rock style when creating his collection. The collections inspired from the specific rock music and style were selected from Dior Homme (2001F/W-2007F/W) and Saint-Laurent (2013F/W-2015F/W), and analyzed by the 4 genres of rock music and fashion style as follows. First, glam rock style appeared in Dior Homme 2005F/W and Saint Laurent 2014S/S with glamorous full make-up, animal printings, and glitter textures. Second, psychedelic rock style appeared in Saint Laurent 2015S/S with flower patterns, afro hair, fur vests, and western & ethnic bohemian styling. Third, grunge rock style appeared at Dior Homme 2005S/S and Saint Laurent 2013F/W with messedup hair, destroyed jeans, and layering style. Fourth, garage rock style appeared mainly at Dior Homme 2006 S/S with messed-up hair, slim suit, fedora, and sneakers. This result is expected to be used for research and development on modern rock style for contemporary menswear.

Typography is the field be needed the most emotional and potential originality in the visual designers works. The design process introduced by aesthetic results is depended on a designers sensibility and originality. Accordingly this study includes more detail suggestions for mental switchover and developing whole area of sense and its education which make more sincere and easy communication of sentences in typographic and messages, removing fixed ideas, that are, prejudice and preconception, is one of big problems in making originality through the educational programs for experimental typography approaching with a new vision. Today, the change of typographic environment carried the substance and effectiveness of traditional typography be suspected and new ways are growing fast to escape from these traditional value. This study introduces some education programs such as Typortrait, Typeface, Typographic Essay, Kinetic Typography to realize the experimental typography to meet a new stream and social needs under the situation of exoplosive change and harmony fairly with proposition of coexisting of inspiration and technology, and finally expected to develop and promote typography experiment newly and to make educational section understand and confirm them.

Scientific creativity is defined as the production of novel scientific facts, methods, theories, explanations, and instruments, as well as the entire process by which these novel facts, theories, explanations and instruments are generated. There have been many studies on scientific creativity, but there were few studies on the scientific creativity of a research team collaborating in laboratory settings. This paper aims to find the elements that constitute the creativity of a laboratory through empirical participant observation and theoretical analysis of RNA Biology Lab in Seoul National University - a lab which is considered to be the most creative laboratory in Korea. Creative accomplishments demand not just a sudden inspiration but also a complicated and continuous evolutionary process which requires a systematic division of labor and a corporation between researchers who have diverse knowledges and capabilities. Also, this paper shows that laboratory culture and leadership are an important factor for vitalizing the corporative structure of the laboratory.

Even though global warming and humid climate have resulted in an increase of use of dehumidifiers, they are not becoming more common because of high energy consumption. Furthermore, conventional dehumidifier technology finally reaches the limit to increase energy efficiency of water collection. As an alternative, nature-inspired technology may lead to a major breakthrough in the dehumidification performance. In order to improve the efficiency of dehumidifiers, we first analyze the energy consumption of commercial dehumidifiers and then study bioinspired water collection methods adopted by Namib beetles and grass.

Acoustic Quanta, which British Physicist Dennis Gabor created, is the theoretical background for granular synthesis and has influenced many computer music artists and sound designers. Acoustic Quanta is a very short sound burst, lasting only 1 to 100 ms. Granular synthesis is a sound synthesis technique which slices original sound into sound grains and re-combines them into a new acoustic event. Concept of sound grain is borrowed from the acoustic quanta. Granular Synthesis can make very unique sound, so that it can be useful in many ways, especially in sound design. This paper presents concept of acoustic quanta and granular synthesis. It then discusses making a synthesizer as an implementation of synchronous granular synthesis and its applications on sound design. As a result, the duration of acoustic quanta should range between 0.239 and 33.367 ms, in consideration of audible frequencies, which is different from the original concept of the acoustic quanta.

Discovered as designer of own ski loths by American potographer Toni Frissell, !n 1947; designed ski wear for Lord '||'&'||' Taylor store in New York follewing year. He opened a shop on Capri in 1949 and in 1950 he founded "Emilio", his couture house. His fortune was simple silk jersey chemises and very strong prints using bold colour in abstract patterns. A pucci print was immediately recognizable and, although often based on medieval heraldic banners of the sort waved at the "Siena Palio", so utterly of the moment that it could be taken as a classic symbol of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was a brilliant colourist and his colours became the colours of the decade: hot pink, lime blue, purple. He seemed able to capture the sun and fun of Italy in his print and, along with Galitzine, he can take the credit for creating the concept of relaxed, informal elegance in Italian faslion.ian faslion.
