Liquid Oxygen in Feeding Line during Propellant Filling and Holding (산화제 충진 및 대기 과정의 추진제 공급배관 내부 현상)

  • Propellant filling and holding test was carried out using liquid oxygen as a working fluid. The feeding line system has a filter at propellant tank outlet. Vaporization of liquid oxygen during holding after completion of filling and effect of vaporization to recirculation performance in this system was observed. Filling rate and pressure of tank ullage had the effect on state of liquid oxygen in feeding line. There was no geysering in feeding line during holding because of the position of filter.

  • In this study, we have studied a system to reduce the inconvenience and the accident rate at the intersection when the visually impaired use traffic information by using pressure sensor and ultrasonic sensor. By using the pressure sensor to light the strip LED, the driver recognizes the pedestrian, thereby reducing the accident rate. In addition to the pedestrian signal light information, the ultrasonic sensor and Bluetooth transmit the bus position information to the application so that the user can listen to the voice.

Wideband Stacked Microstrip Antenna with Parasitic Patches for 800MHz Band (기생패치를 이용한 800MHz 대역 광대역 적층 마이크로스트립 안테나)

  • A wideband stacked patch antenna with parasitic elements, rectangular and triangle shaped patches, is proposed. Two different shaped parasitic elements are placed in the above of main rectangular microstrip patch antenna in order to achieve wide bandwidth for 860 MHz band. Coupling between the main patch and parasitic patches is realized by thick air gap. The gap and locations of parasitic patches are found to be the main factor of the wideband impedance matching. The proposed antenna is designed on a ground plane with small size of $119mm{\times}109mm$ for application of compact transceivers. And the impedance bandwidth of the antenna should satisfied CDMA band to the 780MHz~890MHz.

  • In this study, a circular polarization patch antenna operates at the wide bandwidth of 1.5GHz~1.7GHz was designed. To obtain the wide bandwidth and high gain, the high air substrate was applied. The impedance bandwidth is improved by adjusting the sizes of patch, the distance between main patch and ground plate, the length of internal slots, the position of feeding point, the length of external stub, etc. The antenna is designed by simulation for an operation in the frequency range of 1.5GHz~1.7GHz band, and the antenna characteristics such as return loss, gain, radiation patterns are examined.

  • SMES의 운전 상태는 충전, 운전, 방전의 3가지 모드로 나눌 수 있으며, 충 방전 구간에서 와전류 손실이 발생한다. SMES의 에너지 방전 시 마그넷에서의 전류 감소로 인한 와전류 손실은 비록 짧은 시간동안 발생하지만 그 크기가 냉동기의 정격 열 부하 용량에 비해 상대적으로 크기 때문에, SMES 시스템 설계 시 이에 대한 영향을 고려해야 한다. 본 논문은 고온초전도 선재를 이용하여 개발 중인 600 kJ SMES의 방전 시, 마그넷을 냉각시키기 위한 권선 보빈형 열전도판의 분할과 슬릿의 위치에 따른 와전류 손실 변화를 3차원 유한요소법을 이용해 해석하고 그 결과를 제시하였다.

  • This paper presents development of the transponder system which provides an accurate train position, especially for supporting 400km/h high speed train. Here, we analyzed an operating frequency band of the transponder system which can be interoperable with the Eurobalise system already installed in Korea railroad as to be used for the automatic train protection (ATP). By investigating the power frequency band and its data frequency band of the transponder system, we presents the adoptable frequency band for the developed transponder system. Additionally, through the real testbed using HEMU-430X, we evaluate its performance requirement and shows interoperable operation with the Eurobalise system.

  • Pulmonary sequestration is an abnormal lung tissue that does not communicate with tracheobronchial tree, and that receives blood supply from anomalous arteries. Pulmonary sequestration is divided into two anatomical forms, intralobar and extralobar. Extralobar pulmonary sequestration is usually located between the diaphragm and the lower lobe and has systemic arterial supply and venous drainage, and most patients are diagnosed in their infancy. We report an extralobar pulmonary sequestration located between the right upper lobe and the lower lobe in a 48-year-old female adult, which has anomalous blood supply from the right pulmonary artery and venous drainage directly into the left atrium.

Somatic Embryogenesis and Plant Regeneration in Immature Zygotic Embryo Cultures of Hot Pepper (Capsium annuum L.) (고추의 미숙 접합배로부터 체세포배발생에 의한 식물체 재분화)

  • Immature zygotic embryos (up to 4mm in length) were cultured on MS medium supplemented with 0.5 to 8mg/L 2,4-D. Up to 87% of them formed somatic embryos on the plumule without producing an intervening callus. The site of somatic embryo formation was confirmed by culturing plumule explants, which consisted of shoot apical meristem domes with 1 or 2 leaf primordia excised from 2-week-old seedlings. When the concentration of 2,4-D was increased over 4 mg/L, the plumule explants produced nonembryogenic calli only, whereas the distal end of the cotyledons directly formed numerous somatic embryos at frequencies of up to 60%. Upon transfer onto MS basal medium,2 out of 15 somatic embryos converted into plantlets. The plantlets were potted to a soil mixture and grown to maturity in a phytotron.

Time Delay Estimation for the Identification of Leak Location (시간지연 추정을 통한 누수위치 식별 연구)

  • Leak noise is a good source to identify the exact location of a leak point of underground water pipelines. Water leak generates broadband noise from a leak location and can be propagated to both directions of water pipes. This sound propagation due to leak in water pipelines is not a non-dispersive wave any more because of the surrounding pipes and soil. However, the necessity of long-range detection of this leak location makes to identify low-frequency acoustic waves rather than high frequency ones. Acoustic wave propagation coupled with surrounding boundaries including cast iron pipes is theoretically analyzed and the wave velocity was confirmed with experiment. The leak locations were identified both by the acoustic emission (AE) method and the cross-correlation method. In a short-range distance, both the AE method and cross-correlation method are effective to detect leak position. However, the detection for a long-range distance required a lower frequency range accelerometers only because higher frequency waves were attenuated very quickly with the increase of propagation paths. Two algorithms for the cross-correlation function were suggested, and a long-range detection has been achieved at real underground water pipelines longer than loom.

A Study on storage caculation of Ungauged reservoir (미계측 저수지의 저수량 산정에 관한 연구)

  • 우리나라는 현재 17,310개소(2015년)의 저수지가 존재하고 있으며, 지자체가 13,916개소, 한국농어촌공사가 3,394개소를 관리하고 있다. 이중 30만㎥ 이상인 저수지가 전체 저수량의 대부분을 차지하기 때문에 1,500개소에 대해서는 저수위 등이 계측되고 있고, 그 외에 소규모 수리시설물의 경우 유역면적, 만수면적, 총저수량, 유효저수용량, 제원 등 현황만 관리되고 있다. 그러나 미계측 되는 10만$m^3$ 미만 소규모 수리시설물(15,175개소)의 총저수량은 약 2.5억$m^3$으로 전체의 4.2%에 불과 하지만, 수혜면적 32.9만ha로 전체의 약 65.9%를 차지하고 있어 소규모 수리시설물의 저수량을 파악할 필요가 있다. 미계측 수리시설물의 저수량 측정은 수문계측기를 이용하는 방법이 가장 정확한 방법이나 비용이 과다하게 소요되는 측면이 있어 전국 저수지에 설치하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하기에 미계측 수리시설물의 저수면적-저수량 관계식을 개발하여 저수량을 도출하고자 한다. 미계측 수리시설물 저수량 산정은 저수지의 지리적 위치, 저수지의 형태(삼각, 사각, 원형 등), 총 저수량 등에 따라 단면 형태를 추정하여 구분한다. 저수면적-저수량 관계식을 형태별로 제시하여 실제 계측이 이루어지고 있는 자료와의 비교 검토를 통해 관계식을 검증하고자 한다.
