Train Operations Scheduling System for Train Time-Table (열차 발착시간에 대한 열차 운용 스케줄링 시스템)

  • 열차운용이라 함은 열차의 출발과 도착 시간을 나타내는 열차번호들에 여러 객차들로 구성된 하나의 열차를 일컫는 열차 다이아(train DIAgram)들을 여러 제약조건을 고려하여 배정함으로서 열차 번호가 열차 다이아에 의해 운행될 수 있도록 열차운용 다이아를 작성하는 작업이다. 이러한 작업을 다수의 스케줄링 전문가들이 스케줄링 할 경우 많은 시간과 노력을 감수해야만 하며, 전문가의 실수로 인해 오류가 발생할 가능성이 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 복잡한 스케줄의 특성상 운용 비용이 적게 드는 스케줄 결과를 이끌어 내기가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 열차운용 시스템을 구성하기 위해서 현재 철도청에서 사용하는 시스템을 분석하여, 열차운용 스케줄링 시스템을 모델링 하였고, 이에 모델링한 시스템을 바탕으로 CSP(Constraint Satisfaction Problems: 제약조건 만족 문제) 해결 기법을 적용하여 계산시간 및 계산 복잡성 면에서 효율적인 스케줄링을 행함과 동시에 비용 최적 함수를 적용함으로서 열차 운용 비용이 최소가 되는 열차운용 스케줄링 시스템을 구현하였다. 더불어, 시스템모델 검증과정의 하나로 과거 운용되었던 새마을호 열차시간표와 열차 데이터를 사용하여 열차 운용 및 운용 비용의 최적화를 실험하였다.

  • It has been 5 years since KTX high speed train was operated by KORAIL in Korea in April 2004. As for KTX train, France TGV was optimally renovated to make it, considering Korean geographical and environmental features. The research and development about KTX make it possible that train's exterior device design has the original design capability but, KTX train control & diagnosis design remains in the level of imitation. In order to analyze KTX train's diagnosis & control data, there are a collection method, using VME analysis device and method of analyzing control data structure and the operating and design capability about train control & diagnosis device should be secured. As the various high speed trains are operated in tracks, high speed train's safety driving and reduction of expense are necessary, by preparing in advance various train diagnosis & control which is indispensable to train operator. With the simplified train diagnosis & control design, Korean type high speed train's manufacture capability and operating capability should be improved and Korea's international status as a nation of operating high speed train should be established.

  • In this paper, for the purpose of improving the future domestic train control systems and securing interoperability according to the global development trends of train control systems, we present the test results of interoperability between wayside train control system installed in existed line, and the onboard train control system. Due to the safety-critical characteristics of train systems, the site test in the section where the wayside equipment is installed, leads to a danger against safety. Therefore, by way of constructing a simulation environment of train control systems, we confirm the T/R data systems of the equipment for interoperability and test the interoperability by applying these systems to onboard equipment.

  • This paper considers subway routing problem. Given a schedule of train to be routed by a railway stock, the routing problem determines a sequence of trains while satisfying turnaround time and maintenance restrictions. Generally, the solution of routing problem is generated from set partition formulation solved by column generation method, a typical integer programming approach for train-set. However, we find the characteristics of metropolitan subway which has a simple rail network, a few end stations and 13 departure-arrival patterns. We reflect a turn-around constraint due to spatial limitations has no existence in conventional railroad. Our objective is to minimize the number of daily train-sets. In this paper, we develop two basic techniques that solve the subway routing problem in a reasonable time. In first stage, we formulate the routing problem as a Min-cost-flow problem. Then, in the second stage, we attempt to normalize the distance covered to each routes and reduce the travel distance using our heuristic approach. Applied to the current daily timetable, we could find the subway routings, which is an approximately 14% improvement on the number of train-sets reducing 15% of maximum traveling distance and 8% of the standard deviation.

  • In this paper, for the purpose of improving the future domestic train control systems and securing interoperability according to the global development trends of train control systems, we present the test results of communication interfaces to verify the interoperability between CBTC wayside units tentatively installed in Bundang line that is one of the metropolitan area rail transit systems, and the CBTC onboard units developed through the national R/D project. The CBTC onboard equipment developed, has finished its installation and trial tests in the Bundang shunting yard. For the interoperability test, we should make an interface test with wayside equipment tentatively installed in Bundang line. Due to the safety-critical characteristics of train systems, the site test in the section where the wayside equipment is installed, leads to a danger against safety. Therefore, by way of constructing a simulation environment of train control systems, we confirm the T/R data systems of the equipment for interoperability and test the interoperability by applying these systems to developed CBTC onboard equipment.

Quantitative analysis on the technical interoperability between railway systems for the operation of trans-continental railways (대륙철도 운행을 위한 기술적 상호운용성에 대한 계량적 분석)

  • Recently, as South Korea has joined the OSJD, the rules of the OSJD need to be applied to South Korea. Therefore, the railways are connected to the continent railway in terms of software, but the railway systems in neighboring countries have been developed and operated for a long time, and are quite different with some restrictions in terms of hardware. Therefore, this study analyzed the current railway systems of neighboring countries' based on the TSI used in Europe for technical interoperability. A real operation with the operation models within the specific route was assumed and vector functions for the Infrastructure vector & Rolling stock vector were produced. The IOP value was calculated by working out the interfacing matrix value between the infrastructure vector and rolling stock vector. As a result of calculating the IOP in a specific route, which is from Busan South Korea to Vladivostok with the diesel locomotive hauling freight cars, the value was only 22%, which is fairly low in terms of the interoperability. In other words, there are 77.8% restricting items preventing their interoperability. Such restricted causes should be improved to increase the technical interoperability in the long term. Moreover, and when railway systems are constructed and manufactured, it is important to keep IOP 100% to increase the operating efficiency in continental railways.

  • 도시철도시스템은 각 역간, 또는 역과 관제실간 많은 양의 데이터 전송을 통해 운용 및 관리되어진다. 역간 또는 관제실과의 인터페이스 정보는 도시철도 시스템의 효율적인 운용을 위한 정보들 뿐만아니라 열차의 안전운행에 필수적인 열차제어 정보들도 포함되어진다. 이러한 도시철도시스템의 운용에 필수적인 디지털 전송시스템의 운용현황과 전송기술의 발전방향을 분석하고, 이를 통해 도시철도 전송시스템의 발전방향을 분석한다.

  • 고속열차의 운행속도가 증가함에 따라 이전보다 공기역학적인 요소들의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 열차와 터널의 형상설계뿐만 아니라 주변 환경을 위해 고속 주행하는 열차 주변의 유동장을 이해할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 고속 주행으로 인해 열차 주변에 발생하는 열차풍을 분석하여 선로 주변에 작용하는 풍하중을 계산하였고, 터널 주행 시 발생하는 압력변동과 객차 연결부의 비정상 열린 공동 유동을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 2차원 해석의 정량적 한계점이 나타났지만, 정성적인 경향은 선행연구와 잘 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 고속열차 주변의 공기역학적 특성의 이해와 열차 및 터널의 형상 변화에 따른 상대적인 비교를 위해서는 EDISON_CFD를 이용한 2차원 해석이 유용함을 볼 수 있었다.

  • Smart열차진로제어시스템은 실시간 열차속도와 열차위치정보를 토대로 진로제어구간을 진입 또는 진출하는 해당 열차의 진로를 제어한다. 현재 운용중인 열차진로제어알고리즘은 궤도회로를 이용해서 검지한 열차점유정보를 사용하고 있으므로, 새로운 개념의 알고리즘개발이 필요하다. 이를 위해서 다양한 형식의 열차가 감속성능을 구현할 수 있는 전동기와 구동장치를 사용하는 모의장치의 개발을 완료하였다. 모의장치는 무선통신기반의 간선철도용 열차진로제어시스템개발을 목적으로 하고 있으나, 알고리즘개발의 효율성과 편리성을 갖추기 위해서 ATS(Automatic Train Supervision), ATC(Automatic Train Control) 및 ATO(Automatic Train Operation) 등의 기능을 구현할 수 있도록 모의장치를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 모의장치 구성, 모의장치의 하부장치별 기능 및 각 하부장치에 설치되어 있는 프로그램구성을 다루고 있다.
