  • 고속철도차량의 국내기술확보를 위해 최고운행속도 350km/h의 한국형 고속전철시스템을 개발하여 단품시험, 완성차시험, 공장시험 등을 통해 기본적인 성능을 확인한 후 현재는 본선시운전 시험이 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 국내기술로 개발된 한국형 고속열차의 슬립검지를 위한 계측시스템 구성과 검지 내용에 대해 서술하고 있다.

  • Smart열차진로제어시스템은 실시간 열차속도와 열차위치정보를 토대로 진로제어구간을 진입 또는 진출하는 해당 열차의 진로를 제어한다. 현재 운용중인 열차진로제어알고리즘은 궤도회로를 이용해서 검지한 열차점유정보를 사용하고 있으므로, 새로운 개념의 알고리즘개발이 필요하다. 이를 위해서 다양한 형식의 열차가 감속성능을 구현할 수 있는 전동기와 구동장치를 사용하는 모의장치의 개발을 완료하였다. 모의장치는 무선통신기반의 간선철도용 열차진로제어시스템개발을 목적으로 하고 있으나, 알고리즘개발의 효율성과 편리성을 갖추기 위해서 ATS(Automatic Train Supervision), ATC(Automatic Train Control) 및 ATO(Automatic Train Operation) 등의 기능을 구현할 수 있도록 모의장치를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 모의장치 구성, 모의장치의 하부장치별 기능 및 각 하부장치에 설치되어 있는 프로그램구성을 다루고 있다.

  • TOA(Time of Arrival) 및 TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival)경우 무선국의 시간동기화를 위해서 고도의 기술을 요구하고 있으며, 시간동기오차에 따른 위치검지의 정밀도가 낮아지는 문제가 있어 이를 극복하기 위하여 위상차(PDOA)를 이용한 새로운 열차검지기법의 제안에 따른 구현을 위하여 H/W의 설계에 대하여 기술하고자 한다 본 시스템은 전과의 전달 속도($\lambda$)를 응용하여 기준 주파수인 1.5MHz를 송신 시스템과 수신 시스템의 기준 주파수와 비교하여 그 위상의 차이를 비교하여 지연된 시간을 구한 후 이를 거리로 환산하는 시스템으로서 H/W와 S/W로 구분하여 구현 $\cdot$ 설계되는데 본 논문에서는 H/W설계에 대하여 기숙하였다.

A Study on the Accurate Stopping Control of a Train for the Urban Rail Transit Using Kalman Filter (칼만 필터를 이용한 도시철도 열차 정위치 정차에 관한 연구)

  • Accurate stopping control is important for trains, especially now that many train stations are equipped with platform screen doors. Various algorithms have been proposed for accurate stopping control. However, most metro trains in South Korea use classic control algorithms such as PID control because other algorithms are too complex to realize. PID control has merits of simple structure and operation. However, PID control sometimes fails, and much time is needed to find the proper coefficients due to the long control period and the brake delay. We propose a control algorithm that uses a Kalman filter. The Kalman filter estimates the states at the time when braking starts. Then, a suitable control input is derived for proper control. System modeling and a computer simulation were performed with consideration of the brake properties and the period of the control system. The superiority of the proposed control algorithm is shown by analyzing stop errors.

  • The train control system used in Gyeongbu-line is classified in ATC, IXL and CTC. The ATC data related to speed and space control for trains are transmitted from wayside to onboard by way of UM71 AF track circuits and BSP Loop. The information transferred by track circuits is composed of operation data which directly influence to the train operation and the information transferred by BSP Loop is used in the section which requires the additional data transmission about the particular track-side environment such as tunnel, hot box detector or insulated section. In this paper, for the BA type turning unit of the UM71 AF track circuits which is mainly used in the linking section of existing and high-speed lines from the opening of the Gyeongbu line till the present, we not only analyze the characteristics of BA but also compare and analyze baseline values and the measured values. With this analysis, we will be able to propose how to solve the problems about operation and maintenance such as track circuit malfunctions of the relevant sections.

  • Traffic accidents at highway-rail crossing result in larger social and economic damages than the accidents at the typical highway intersections. The traditional control and warning systems of the highway-rail crossing have limitations in that 1) they do not recognize the differences of the trains' arrival times because they rely on the distance-based control system, rather than the time-based one, and 2) thereby they usually cause longer delays of vehicles and pedestrians at the highway-rail crossings. The objective of this study is to develop a time-based railroad crossing control system which takes into account the speed and expected arrival time of trains. using the spot speeds and acceleration rates of trains measured at three points, the developed system was found to be able to accurately estimate the arrival time of train. VISSIM simulation package was utilized to compare system effect of the developed time-based railroad crossing control system with that of the conventional distance-based one. It was found that the developed time-based railroad crossing control system reduced the average travel time, maximum delay length, average delay time, and average number of stop-experienced vehicles as much as 7.0$\%$, 75.6$\%$, 12.7$\%$, and 60.0$\%$, respectively, compared with those from the conventional distance-based one.

Parallel Descrambling of Transponder Telegram for High-Speed Train (고속철도용 트랜스폰더 텔레그램의 병렬 디스크램블링 기법)

  • In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. In this paper, we proposed parallel descrambling scheme for high-speed railway transponder system, which aims for reducing the processing time required to decode telegram. Since a telegram is stored in a tag after information bits are scrambled by an encoder, decoding procedure includes descrambling of received telegram to recover the original information bits. By analyzing the structure of the descrambling shift register circuit, we proposed a parallel descrambling scheme for fast decoding of telegram. By comparing the required number of clocks, it is shown that the proposed scheme significantly outperforms the original one.
