Since we reported a BLAST server for the mollusk in 2004, no work has reported the usability or modification of the server. To improve its usability, the BLAST server for the mollusk has been updated as version II (http://www.malacol.or.kr/blast) in the present study. The database was constructed by using the Intel server Platform ZSS130 dual Xeon 3.20 GHz CPU and Linux CentOS system and with NCBI WebBLAST package. We downloaded the mollusk nucleotide, amino acid, EST, GSS and mitochondrial genome sequences which can be opened through NCBI web BLAST and used them to build up the database. The updated database consists of 520,977 nucleotide sequences, 229,857 amino acid sequences, 586,498 EST sequences, 23,112 GSS and 565 mitochondrial genome sequences. Total database size is 1.2 GB. Furthermore, we have added repeat sequences, Escherichia coli sequences and vector sequences to facilitate data validation. The newly updated BLAST server for the mollusk will be useful for many malacological researchers as it will save time to identify and study various molluscan genes.

This study assessed the validity of establishing and implementing a financial supervisory policy considering that Mutual finance's increase in deposits received raises the rate of loans in the process that the recent financial supervisory authorities applied various regulatory measures to mutual financial organizations. As a result of the analysis with a least squares regression model for the correlation between the rate of increase in the deposits received by Nonghyup Mutual Finance and the default rate of loans through the complete enumeration on the 1,161 the regional Nonghyup branches nationwide from 2005 to 2011, showed that there was no (+) correlation between them the financial supervisory authorities premised but a (-) relation. As Nonghyup is a mutual financial organization with the phenomenon that the application plan of increased deposits received is becoming diversified, the increase in deposits received helps reduce the procurement interest rate of funds, which provides a chance to apply the low interest of loans again, so they have positive effects on the overall loans. Financial Supervisory authorities should re-establish a direction of policy understanding the characteristics of Nonghyup's fund use and the detailed correlation between the rate of increase in deposits received and the default rate.

Electron spin resonance (ESR) analysis was conducted for eight different kinds of dried seafood products to investigate their gamma-irradiation status. The specimens consisted of 0~10 kGy-irradiated bones, which included five dried fishes (plaice, hairtail, saury, herring, and dried filefish) and three dried mollusks (beca squid, dried squid, and mitra squid) without flesh or marrow. ESR analysis showed that irradiated specimens exhibited typical asymmetric signals as compared to non-irradiated specimens. ESR signal intensities of all dried fishery samples significantly increased depending on irradiation dose, whereas hydroxyapetite radicals clearly appeared in irradiated plaice, saury, and hairtail. In comparing hydroxyapatite (HA) ratio, irradiated hairtail showed a greater hydroxyapatite-radical generation rate than plaice and saury, and the HA ratio significantly increased with elevated irradiation dose. However, all irradiated plaice and hairtail samples, including 5 and 10 kGy-irradiated saury, showed radiation-derived radicals, whereas filefish and mollusks did not. From the results, ESR spectroscopy was found to have potential to be applied for identifying irradiated plaice, hairtail, and saury, which all contained bones.

The BLAST server for the mollusk was constructed on the basis of the Intel Server Platform SC-5250 dual Xeon 2.8 GHz cpu and Linux operating system. After establishing the operating system, we installed NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) WebBLAST package after web server configuration for cgi (common gate interface) (http://chimp.kribb.re.kr/mollusks). To build up the stand alone blast, we conducted as follows: First, we downloaded the genome information (mitochondria genome information), DNA sequences, amino acid sequences related with mollusk available at NCBI. Second, it was translated into the multifasta format that was stored as database by using the formatdb program provided by NCBI. Finally, the cgi was used for the Stand Alone Blast server. In addition, we have added the vector, Escherichia coli, and repeat sequences into the server to confirm a potential contamination. Finally, primer3 program is also installed for the users to design the primer. The stand alone BLAST gave us several advantages: (1) we can get only the data that agree with the nucleotide sequence directly related with the mollusks when we are searching BLAST; (2) it will be very convenient to confirm contamination when we made the cDNA or genomic library from mollusks; (3) Compared to the current NSBI, we can quickly get the BLAST results on the mollusks sequence information.

CISG article 74 establishes the general formula applicable in all cases where an aggrieved party is entitled to recover damages. It provides that damages for breach of contract comprise all losses, including loss of profits, caused by the breach, to the extent that these losses were foreseeable by the breaching party at the time the contract was concluded. An aggrieved party may claim under article 74 even if entitled to claim under article 75 or 76. The latter articles explicitly provide that an aggrieved party may recover additional damages under article 74. Articles 75 and 76 apply only in cases where the contract has been avoided. Article 75 measures damages concretely by reference to the price in a substitute transactions, while article 76 measures damages abstractly by reference to the current market price. Article 76 (1) provides that an aggrieved party may not calculate damages under article 76 if it has concluded a substitute transaction under article 75. If however, an aggrieved party concludes a substitute transaction for less than the contract quantity, both articles 75 and 76 may apply. Pursuant to article 77, damages recoverable under articles 74, 75 or 76 are reduced if it is established that the aggrieved party failed to mitigate losses. The reduction is the amount by which the loss should have been mitigated. Article 78 entitles a party to interest on the price and any other sum that is in arrears.

가막만 연안 일대의 저서동물을 파악하기 위하여 2004년 9월, 11월, 2005년 4월, 7월까지 총 12개 정점을 조사하였다. 조사결과 총 53종 2,740개체의 저서동물이 채집되었으며, 이 가운데 연체동물이 44종 82%를 차지하였다. 저서동물의 평균밀도는 228.3개체/$m^2$ 였으며, 연체동물은 밀도 155.2 개체/$m^2$로 전체의 68%를 나타냈다. 채집된 시료 중 우점한 종으로는 민띠접시조개(Moerella rutila) 25.6ind./$m^2$, 좁쌀무의고둥(Niotha livescens) 17.7 ind./$m^2$, 종밋(Musculus senhausia) 14 ind./$m^2$, 농조개(Paphia undulata) 9.9 ind./$m^2$ 로 높게 출현하였다. 종다양도 (H')는 0-2.18 범위로서 7월 정점 11에서 가장 높았으며, 11월 정점3, 7월 정점6 에서 가장 낮았다.
