The Effect of Interleaved-practice by the Discriminative-contrast hypothesis in Mathematics (수학학습에서 구분-대조 가설에 의한 교차연습의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a difference in achievement between blocked practice and interleaved practice according to the difference in domain and type of learning content in mathematics subject, and through this result, it is to confirm whether the effect of interleaved practice in mathematics learning is due to the 'Discriminative-contrast Hypothesis' or the 'Distributed-practice Hypothesis'. Although interleaved practice is more effective than blocked practice, previous studies have not shown consistent results regarding the cause. Therefore, in this study, 103 first-year middle school students were randomly assigned to blocked practice, interleaved practice, remote blocked practice, and remote interleaved practice groups had learning activities over 4 times. The results reveals that the effect of interleaved practice appeared in similar types in the same domain, but the effect of interleaved practice did not appear in different types in different domain. In addition, through this result, it was confirmed that the effect of interleaved practice was due to the 'Discriminative-contrast hypothesis' rather than the 'Distributed-practice hypothesis'. Further research topics were suggested after the issues on the research method and the findings were discussed.

  • 음악 연습실 프로그램이 없다면 운영자가 연습실 사용 스케줄을 직접 관리해야 하며, 사용자는 연습실을 예약할 때 운영자에게 연락하여 예약을 해야 하므로 불편하다. 본 논문은 사용자가 편리하게 연습실을 예약할 수 있고, 운영자는 간편하게 연습실을 관리 할 수 있으며 무엇보다도 무료로 사용할 수 있도록 웹을 기반으로 하는 연습실 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • Exercise is still an important method for mathematics learning and teaching, but there is only a few researches which involve the effectiveness of exercise in mathematics learning. This study is designed for giving some implications to researchers who are interested in developing mathematics exercise books for low achievers with respect to effectiveness. For this, 'Suhak-Ikhimchaek', the Korean elementary mathematics workbook, is chosen and in particular, 'multiplication number fact', one of the units of the book, is analyzed with the following respects: achievement levels of learners, arrays of exercise, the amounts and period of exercise, exercise type. Finally, this study proposes composing principles for developing exercise books for low achievers in mathematics.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 3D 가상공간인 세컨드라이프에서 예비교사의 성공적인 수업연습을 위한 물리적 환경 및 절차적 모형을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서 수행한 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수업 연습 관련 이론 탐색 및 문헌 연구를 통해 성공적인 수업연습을 위한 필수조건들을 탐색하였으며, 이 조건들로부터 수업연습을 위한 절차적 모형의 시안을 개발하였다. 둘째, 세컨드라이프에서 수업연습을 위해 필요한 교실의 물리적 구성요소를 개발하였다. 개발된 교실의 물리적 구성요소는 교실공간, 칠판, 교사용 책걸상, 학생용 책걸상, 출입문, 창문, 게시판, 프리젠테이션 도구 등이었다. 셋째, 세컨드라이프에서 수업연습을 위해 필요한 의사소통 도구를 탐색하였다. 탐색 결과, 텍스트 대화 도구, 음성 대화 도구, 노트카드 사용 도구, 공지사항 사용 도구 등이 의사소통을 위해 필요한 요소로 결정되었다. 마지막으로, 세컨드라이프내의 교실 안에서 의사소통 도구를 활용하여 예비교사의 수업연습을 수행하였다. 이 수행결과에 기반하여 세컨드라이프에서의 예비교사의 수업연습을 위한 절차적 모형을 완성하였다. 이 연구는 예비교사들에게 실제적 수업연습(field-based teaching practice)에 앞서, 3D 가상공간인 세컨드라이프에서 실험적 수업연습(laboratory-based teaching practice) 경험을 가능하게 하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

  • This study is on the control system of simulation-based emergency preparedness 'government level exercise'(GOV-Ex), which provides main control elements required for each stage of planning, preparation, implementation, and follow-up measures and its operation concept. For this purpose, the control requirements of 'simulation-based government level exercise'(GOVSIM-Ex) was derived through the preceding studies on GOV-Ex and simulation exercise control in military exercise and disaster exercises and then the concept of operation was presented. The main contents are exercise planning and key event scenario, the linkage between simulation model and other models, the composition of the simulation control center and the organization's workstation(WS), DB, control and evaluation team etc. The study limited to the main control elements, not all the control elements required for the GOVSIM-Ex, and it has limitations that the specific implementation plan of some control elements proposed has not been presented. These are presented as a future research subject. The study will promote the development of the GOVSIM-Ex Control System and early settlement of GOSIMV-Ex in the future.

A Study on the Defense Cyber Warfare Exercise (국방사이버전 연습체계 개선 방안 연구)

  • In the information society, information security is a critical issue for defense cyber network system. This paper provides a result of a study on the defense cyber exercise system for cyber warfare. So far, defense cyber exercise system has been uneffective and is not systematic even if several exercises has been implemented. In order to overcome these problems, a systematic and integrated cyber exercise process is suggested. Under the suggested system, we expect that cyber exercise for cyber warfare will be implemented with more effective manner.

대학수학에서 귀납적 증명에 대한 연습

  • 대학수학에서 수학적귀납법의 원리를 소개하고 풍부한 예를 통해 이해를 돕는다. 특별히 교양수학을 수강하는 1학년 학생 수준에 맞게 매스매티카 프로그램을 이용하여 구체적인 예를 갖고 한단계 한단계 접근하여 수학적귀납법의 증명을 연습할 기회를 준다. 증명을 단계적으로 하는 것을 연습하여 학생들은 논리적인 사고능력을 개발하고 새로운 명제를 발견할 수 있는 기회를 맞보게 한다. 물론, 증명 연습은 1학년 신입생에게는 쉽지 않으나 여러 명제에 대해 연습을 하는 것은 수학적, 논리적 사고 능력을 개발하고 증명문제에 대한 인식을 바꾸는데 매우 중요한 역할을 할 것이다.

  • 대본 연습을 하는데 배우들은 딴은 시간과 공간의 제약을 받는다. 또한 연습 도중에 대본의 내용을 수정하려면 모든 배우의 대본을 수정해야 하는 문제점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 웹 기반의 다자간 대본 연습 시스템을 구현한다. 이 시스템은 사용자가 웹에서 직접 XML 기반의 대본을 작성 편집할 수 있어 모든 배우의 대본을 수정할 필요가 없도록 해준다. 또한 데이터 동기화, 시간 공간 동기화, 이벤트 동기화 기법을 적용하여 여러 사용자가 통시에 연습할 수 있고, 웹 기반이므로 기준에 대본 연습에 따른 제한적인 시간과 공간의 문제를 해결할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Influencing Factors on Deliberate Practice among Musically Talented Adolescents: On Passion and Achievement Goals (음악재능 청소년의 계획적 연습에 영향을 미치는 요인: 열정과 성취 목적을 중심으로)

  • This study was to examine whether musically talented adolescents' passion and achievement goals influence their deliberate practice. Of the musically talented adolescents surveyed from two arts high schools in Seoul, Korea, 597 completed and returned the questionnaires. Their average age was 17.4 years. Paired t-test on musically talented adolescents' passion(i.e., harmonious passion, and obsessive passion) and achievement goals(i.e., mastery goals, performance-approach goals, and performance-avoidance goals) indicated that harmonious passion were higher than obsessive passion. Mastery goals were higher than performance-approach goals. And performance-approach goals were higher than performance-avoidance goals. Independent t-tests were measured between high and low deliberate practice(DP) groups. High DP group showed higher harmonious and obsessive passion, and mastery and performance goals than low DP group. It was also found that two types of passion(i.e., harmonious and obsessive) positively influenced on deliberate practice via mastery goals.

Validity Analysis of Python Automatic Scoring Exercise-Problems using Machine Learning Models (머신러닝 모델을 이용한 파이썬 자동채점 연습문제의 타당성 분석)

  • This paper analyzed the validity of exercise problems for each unit in Python programming education. Practice questions presented for each unit are presented through an online learning system, and each student uploads an answer code and is automatically graded. Data such as students' mid-term exam scores, final exam scores, and practice questions scores for each unit are collected through Python lecture that lasts for one semester. Through the collected data, it is possible to improve the exercise problems for each unit by analyzing the validity of the automatic scoring exercise problems. In this paper, Orange machine learning tool was used to analyze the validity of automatic scoring exercises. The data collected in the Python subject are analyzed and compared comprehensively by total, top, and bottom groups. From the prediction accuracy of the machine learning model that predicts the student's final grade from the Python unit-by-unit practice problem scores, the validity of the automatic scoring exercises for each unit was analyzed.
