Ductility Confinement of RC Rectangular Shear Wall (장방형 철근 콘크리트 전단벽의 연성 보강)

  • In designing the boundary confinement of shear walls, the current design provisions and recommendations are empirical and prescriptive; they specify a certain confinement length and details, regardless of the actual requirement of ductility Therefore, they are inappropriate to the performance based-design. The purpose of the present study is to develop a ductility design method that Is applicable to the performance based-design of shear wall. For the purpose, experimental studies were performed to investigate variations in the ductility of shear walls with the length of the boundary confinement. Five specimens modeling the compressive zone of cross sections with different confinement area were tested against eccentric vertical load. Through the experimental studies, strength, ductility, and failure mode of the compression zone were investigated. In addition, nonlinear numerical analyses for the overall cross-sections of shear wall were performed to investigate variations of the stress and strain profiles with the length of compression zone. On the basis of the experimental and numerical studies, a ductility design method for shear wall was developed. By using the proposed design method, for a given ductility demand, the area of lateral confinement and corresponding reinforcement ratio can be precisely determined so that the ductile behavior and economical design are assured.

A Study on Connection Ductility of Steel Structures Subjected to Monotonic Loading (단조하중을 받는 철골구조물의 접합부 연성도에 관한 연구)

  • The required connection ductility has been evaluated, considering geometric, material and connection nonlinearity, for 6-story unbraced and 20-story braced steel structures subjected to ultimate lateral load. For material nonlinearity, section moment-curvature relationship and member stiffness matrix have been derived utilizing fiber model and linear flexibility distribution model. In 6-story structure with semi-rigid connections for rigid connection, the required connection ductility is less than that for rigid connection. In 20-story structure, the required connection ductility for semi-rigid connection is almost the same as that for shear connection and the required ductility for rigid connection is larger than that for semi-rigid or shear connection.

  • 대부분의 멀티미디어 응용은 제한된 시간내에 작업이 수행되어야 하는 연성 실시간 특성을 가지고 있으며, 일반직으로 윈도우즈 또는 유닉스와 같은 범용 운영체제 상에서 수행되고 있다. 하지만, 범용 운영체제는 요구 페이징에 기반한 가상 메모리 시스템을 근간으로 하고 있으므로, 연성 실시간 태스크가 요구하는 제약조건을 처리하는데 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 범용 운영체제가 연성 실시간 태스크를 원활히 지원할 수 있도록 가상 메모리 시스템을 개선시키는 방법을 제시하고 있다. 주요 아이디어는 실시간 태스크가 사용하는 메모리에 대해서 태스크의 우선순위에 기반한 고립화(isolation)를 제공하는 것이며, 이를 통해서 메모리 제약 조건하에서 연성 실시간 태스크가 제한 시간을 만족시키며 수행됨을 보이고 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 연성 실시간 태스크 즉 비디오, 오디오와 같은 태스크의 실시간 적인 특성을 만족시키기 위하여 현재 각광 받고 있는 리눅스 커널을 사용하여 연성 실시간 커널을 개발하고자 한다. 리눅스 파일시스템의 디스크 스케줄링 은 오디오와 비디오와같은 연성 실시간 태스크의 실시간 요건을 고려하지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 우선 주기 당 일정 대역폭을 요구하는 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하기 위해 디스크 대역폭 예약이 가능한 디스크 스케줄링 기법을 제시하여 태스크간 공정한 디스크 서비스를 제공한다.

  • Determination of ductility demand and prediction of nonlinear seismic responses of a structure under the earthquake ground motions have become a very important subject for evaluation of seismic performance in the performance based seismic design. In this study, the system ductility demand and nonlinear seismic responses of the steel moment framed structures by the nonlinear time history analysis are estimated and compared with those obtained from the capacity spectrum method suggested in ATC-40 and proposed method that is an improvement on the capacity spectrum method using the equivalent responses derived directly from a multi degree of freedom system. the adequacy and validity of the proposed method is verified by comparing the results evaluated by the method proposed in this study and the results obtained from method suggested in ATC-40 to the nonlinear seismic responses of the example structures from the nonlinear time history analysis.

  • In this study, flexural strength and ductility requirements of composite hybrid steel I-girder with its HSB(high performance steel for bridge) applied to tension flanges are examined in positive bending. In AASHTO LRFD specification, flexural strength and ductility requirements of composite I-girder in positive bending are specified in terms of plastic moment and plastic neutral axis that are derived from plastic behavior of conventional steel. However, plastic zone cannot be defined clearly from the stress-strain behavior of HSB unlike the behavior of conventional steel. Therefore, through idealized stress-strain curves of HSB, the plastic moment of composite hybrid steel I-girder with its HSB applied to tension flanges is defined by assuming the plastic zone of HSB. By using the consequences of numerical analysis regarding arbitrary cross-sections that have various dimensions, ductility requirements and flexural strength of composite hybrid I-girder with its HSB applied to tension flange are proposed.

  • 벌크형태의 태양전지 기판을 대체할 목적으로 연성기판을 적응한 태양전지 개발이 활발하게 진행되고 있으며, 주재료는 플라스틱 기판, 금속기판 등이 있다 그러나 기존의 연성기판인 플라스틱의 경우 열과, 내구성, 화학약품에 약하다는 단점이 있으며, 금속기판은 높은 생산원가, 박막화의 어려움 등의 문제를 안고 있다 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해 전주성형법으로 제조된 철-니켈계 연성기판을 개발하였다. 이 연성기판의 경우 고온의 공정조건에서도 열팽창율이 플라스틱 기판보다 낮으며, 기존의 금속기판 보다 저렴한 생산단가로 쉽게 극박화 할 수 있다는 것이다. 전주성형법을 적용하여 40Ni, 45Ni, 52Ni 연성기관을 제조하였으며, TMA 장비를 사용하여 각 연성기판의 열팽창 계수를 측정한 결과 6.36, 6.78, $10.93{\mu}m/m^{\circ}C$로 기존의 연성기판인 플라스틱, 금속에 비해 낮은 열팽창 계수를 가짐으로서 고온 공정 중에 안정성 요구를 충분히 충족시킬 수 있다.

  • 패키지 기술의 개발은 저비용, 고성능, 높은 패키징 효율의 추세로 가고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 기판재료의 개발 및 구조의 변형이 요구된다. 패키지의 한 형태인 MCM(Multi-Chip Module)에 연성기판을 사용할 경우 fine pattern이 가능하고 부피가 작기 때문에 패키지의 효율이 좋고 또한 reel to reel process에 적용이 가능하기 때문에 대량생산의 이점을 가지고 있다. 연성기판은 좋은 전기적 특성을 가진 polyimide와 구리 층으로 구성된다. 그러나 polyimide와 구리 계층 사이에 약한 접착력과 구리로의 polyamic acid의 diffusion, 다층 기판의 제조의 어려움 등의 문제점을 남겨두고 있다. 본 연구는 일반적인 polyimide/copper가 구조가 가지고 있는 문제점을 해결하고 구리 패턴을 제작하기 위해 에칭을 쓰는 것을 배제함으로 fine pattern을 이루어 내었으며 전기도금으로 완전하게 채워진 pluged via을 사용함으로 각층간의 연결에 신뢰성을 부여하였다. 또한, 연성기판의 구조적인 문제점인 해결하여 다층 연성기판을 제조하려고 한다.

Required Strength Spectrum of Low-Rise Reinforced Concrete Shear Wall Buildings with Pilotis (필로티 구조를 가진 저층 철근콘크리트 전단벽식 건물의 요구내력 스펙트럼)

  • The main purpose of this study is to provide a basic information for the seismic capacity evaluation and the seismic design of low-rise reinforced concrete (RC) shear wall buildings, which are comprised of a pilotis in the first story. In this study, relationships between strengths and ductilities of each story of RC buildings with pilotis are investigated based on the nonlinear seismic response analysis. The characteristics of low-rise RC buildings with pilotis are assumed as the double degree of freedom structural systems. In order to simulate these systems, the pilotis is idealized as a degrading trilinear hysteretic model that fails in flexure and the upper story of shear wall system is idealized as a origin-oriented hysteretic model that fails in shear, respectively. Stiffness properties of both models are varied in terms of story shear coefficients and structures are subjected to various ground motion components. By analyzing these systems, interaction curves of required strengths for various levels of ductility factors are finally derived for practical purposes. The result indicates that the required strength levels derived can be used as a basic information for seismic evaluation and design criteria of low-rise reinforced concrete shear wall buildings having pilotis structure.

Development of Seismic Performance Evaluation Reinforcement by FRP and Ductile Material Layered Composites (섬유강화플라스틱과 연성재 적층복합체로 구성된 내진성능보강재의 개발)

  • Recently, the frequency and magnitude of the earthquake have increased. The structural safety of the public facilities such as bridges and tunnels etc. which were not concerned for earthquake resistant design are increased. Fiber reinforcement polymer that has been frequently studied for seismic retrofit has advantage as seismic reinforcement material, but it has disadvantage of the brittleness. Therefore, the investigation of safety and seismic reinforcement are required. In this study, new FRP-ductile material layered composites proposed to seismic performance reinforced of subway tunnel. Tensile test of FRP-ductile material layered composites showed that Maximum tensile force of FRP-ductile using Aluminum is similar to existing FRP reinforcement material and maximum strain was increased. In case of application of domestic subway tunnel which need ductility, layered composites of FRP-Aluminum is estimated effectively for increase of seismic performance.
