A Study of 3D Modeling of Compressed Urban LiDAR Data Using VRML (VRML을 이용한 도심지역 LiDAR 압축자료의 3차원 표현)

  • Recently, the demand for enterprise for service map providing and portal site services of a 3D virtual city model for public users has been expanding. Also, accuracy of the data, transfer rate and the update for the update for the lapse of time emerge are considered as more impertant factors, by providing 3D information with the web or mobile devices. With the latest technology, we have seen various 3D data through the web. With the VRML progressing actively, because it can provide a virtual display of the world and all aspects of interaction with web. It offers installation of simple plug-in without extra cost on the web. LiDAR system can obtain spatial data easily and accurately, as supprted by numerous researches and applications. However, in general, LiDAR data is obtained in the form of an irregular point cloud. So, in case of using data without converting, high processor is needed for presenting 2D forms from point data composed of 3D data and the data increase. This study expresses urban LiDAR data in 3D, 2D raster data that was applied by compressing algorithm that was used for solving the problems of large storage space and processing. For expressing 3D, algorithm that converts compressed LiDAR data into code Suited to VRML was made. Finally, urban area was expressed in 3D with expressing ground and feature separately.

  • 일반적인 정보 검색은 색인어를 통해 이루어지는데 이런 경우 사용자는 정보를 검색하기 위해 데이터베이스에 저장된 정보들이 가지고 있는 색인어를 정확하게 입력해야 한다. 그러나 일반 사용자가 색인어를 정확하게 입력하기는 어렵고, 특히 찾고자 하는 분야가 전문 분야에서 사용되는 용어일 때는 더욱 그러하다. 이럴 때 시소러스와 같은 지식구조를 이용해서 색인어를 탐색하여 검색의 효율을 높일 수 있다. 최근 들어 정보기술 분야의 연구가 활발함에 따라 정보자로의 생산이 급격히 증가하고 이를 관련 주제 분야의 연구정보로 활용하는 경우가 증가하고 있다. 따라서 IT 분야의 정보를 관리할 수 있는 시스템의 개발이 시급하다. 또한 IT 분야와 같은 전문분야일 때 검색 시스템에서 사용할 용어의 관리에 대한 연구의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IT분야의 정보를 검색할 수 있는 IT 업체정보검색시스템에서 정보 검색시에 생기는 용어간의 불일치 문제를 해결하고, 각 용어들간의 계층 관계를 나타내어 정보 검색시 검색어의 확장을 도울 수 있는 용어 관리 시스템의 구조를 제안하고 그에 대한 검색 알고리즘을 제시한다. 제안된 구조는 사용자의 검색어에 대한 동의어 관계나 상위어, 하위어 등의 계층 관계를 파악하여 검색의 범위에 추가함으로써 검색 효율을 높일 수 있다. 또한 새로운 용어의 생성이나 삭제와 같은 연산이 발생했을 때 시스템을 동적으로 확장할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템은 단어간의 계층 구조를 효율적으로 검색하기 위하여 객체-관계형 데이터베이스를 사용하였다. 또한 메모리 상주 DBMS를 사용하여 많은 사용자들이 동시에 접근하는 환경에서도 빠른 검색 성능을 유지할 수 있도록 하였다. 제시된 방법은 정보기술 분야뿐만 아니라 다른 전문용어 분야의 연구로도 그 범위를 확장 할 수 있다.자기자본비용의 조합인 기회자본비용으로 할인함으로써 현재의 기업가치를 구할 수 있기 때문이다. 이처럼 기업이 영업활동이나 투자활동을 통해 현금을 창출하고 소비하는 경향은 해당 비즈니스 모델의 성격을 규정하는 자료도로 이용될 수 있다. 또한 최근 인터넷기업들의 부도가 발생하고 있는데, 기업의 부실원인이 어떤 것이든 사회전체의 생산력의 감소, 실업의 증가, 채권자 및 주주의 부의 감소, 심리적 불안으로 인한 경제활동의 위축, 기업 노하우의 소멸, 대외적 신용도의 하락 등과 같은 사회적·경제적 파급효과는 대단히 크다. 이상과 같은 기업부실의 효과를 고려할 때 부실기업을 미리 예측하는 일종의 조기경보장치를 갖는다는 것은 중요한 일이다. 현금흐름정보를 이용하여 기업의 부실을 예측하면 기업의 부실징후를 파악하는데 그치지 않고 부실의 원인을 파악하고 이에 대한 대응 전략을 수립하며 그 결과를 측정하는데 활용될 수도 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기업의 부도예측 정보 중 현금흐름정보를 통하여 '인터넷기업의 미래 현금흐름측정, 부도예측신호효과, 부실원인파악, 비즈니스 모델의 성격규정 등을 할 수 있는가'를 검증하려고 한다. 협력체계 확립, ${\circled}3$ 전문인력 확보 및 인력구성 조정, 그리고 ${\circled}4$ 방문보건사업의 강화 등이다., 대사(代謝)와 관계(關係)있음을 시사(示唆)해 주고 있다.ble nutrient (TDN) was highest in booting stage (59.7%); however no significant difference was found among other stages.   • The proposed algorithm in this paper is based on the wavelet decomposition and the energy computation of composed blocks so the amount of calculation and complexity is minimized by adaptively replacing the DWT coefficients and managing the resources effectively. We are now living in the world of a lot. of multimedia applications for many digital electric appliances and mobile devices. Among so many multimedia applications, the digital image compression is very important technology for digital cameras to store and transmit digital images to other sites and JPEG2000 is one of the cutting edge technology to compress still images efficiently. The digital cm technology is mainly using the digital image compression features so that those images could be efficiently saved locally and transferred to other sites without any losses. JPEG2000 standard is applicable for processing the digital images usefully to keep, send and receive through wired and/or wireless networks. The discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is one of the main differences to the previous digital image compression standard such as JPEG, performing the DWT to the entire image rather than splitting into many blocks. Several digital images m tested with this method and restored to compare to the results of conventional DWT which shows that the proposed algorithm get the better result without any significant degradation in terms of MSE & PSNR and the number of zero coefficients when the energy based adaptive DWT is applied.

  • Experiments using real guided weapons for the development of the LADAR(Laser radar) are not practical. Therefore, we need computing environment that can simulate the 3D detections by LADAR. Such simulations require dealing with large sized data representing buildings and terrain over large area. And they also need the information of 3D target objects, for example, material and echo rate of building walls. However, currently used 3D models are mostly focused on visualization maintained as file-based formats and do not contain such semantic information. In this study, as a solution to these problems, a method to use a spatial DBMS and a 3D model suitable for LADAR simulation is suggested. The 3D models found in previous studies are developed to serve different purposes, thus, it is not easy to choose one among them which is optimized for LADAR simulation. In this study, 4 representative 3D models are first defined, each of which are tested for different performance scenarios. As a result, one model, "Body-Face", is selected as being the most suitable model for the simulation. Using this model, a test simulation is carried out.

Object/Non-object Image Classification Based on the Detection of Objects of Interest (관심 객체 검출에 기반한 객체 및 비객체 영상 분류 기법)

  • We propose a method that automatically classifies the images into the object and non-object images. An object image is the image with object(s). An object in an image is defined as a set of regions that lie around center of the image and have significant color distribution against the other surround (or background) regions. We define four measures based on the characteristics of an object to classify the images. The center significance is calculated from the difference in color distribution between the center area and its surrounding region. Second measure is the variance of significantly correlated colors in the image plane. Significantly correlated colors are first defined as the colors of two adjacent pixels that appear more frequently around center of an image rather than at the background of the image. Third one is edge strength at the boundary of candidate for the object. By the way, it is computationally expensive to extract third value because central objects are extracted. So, we define fourth measure which is similar with third measure in characteristic. Fourth one can be calculated more fast but show less accuracy than third one. To classify the images we combine each measure by training the neural network and SYM. We compare classification accuracies of these two classifiers.

  • This paper proposes a robust and computationally efficient algorithm for automatic video object segmentation. For implementing the spatio-temporal segmentation, which aims for efficient combination of the motion segmentation and the color segmentation, an SOM-based hierarchical clustering method in which the segmentation process is regarded as clustering of feature vectors is employed. As results, problems of high computational complexity which required for obtaining exact segmentation results in conventional video object segmentation methods, and the performance degradation due to noise are significantly reduced. A measure of motion vector reliability which employs MRF-based MAP estimation scheme has been introduced to minimize the influence from the motion estimation error. In addition, a noise elimination scheme based on the motion reliability histogram and a clustering validity index for automatically identifying the number of objects in the scene have been applied. A cross projection method for effective object tracking and a dynamic memory to maintain temporal coherency have been introduced as well. A set of experiments has been conducted over several video sequences to evaluate the proposed algorithm, and the efficiency in terms of computational complexity, robustness from noise, and higher segmentation accuracy of the proposed algorithm have been proved.

A Encryption Technique of JPEG2000 Image Using 3-Dimensional Chaotic Cat Map (3차원 카오스 캣맵을 이용한 JPEG2000 영상의 암호화 기술)

  • In this paper, we proposed the image hiding method which decreases calculation amount by encrypt partial data using discrete wavelet transform(DWT) and linear scale quantization which were adopted as the main technique for frequency transform in JPEG2000 standard. Also we used the chaotic system and cat map which has smaller calculation amount than other encryption algorithms and then dramatically decreased calculation amount. This method operates encryption process between quantization and entropy coding for preserving compression ratio of images and uses the subband selection method. Also, suggested encryption method to JPEG2000 progressive transmission. The experiments have been performed with the Proposed methods implemented in software for about 500 images. Consequently, we are sure that the proposed is efficient image encryption methods to acquire the high encryption effect with small amount of encryption. It has been shown that there exits a relation of trade-off between the execution time and the effect of the encryption. It means that the proposed methods can be selectively used according to the application areas.

  • The noise generated in the process of obtaining the medical image acts as the element obstructing the image interpretation and diagnosis. To restore the true image from the image polluted from the noise, the total variation optimization algorithm was proposed by the R.O. F (L.Rudin, S Osher, E. Fatemi). This method removes the noise by fitting the balance of the regularity and fidelity. However, the blurring phenomenon of the border area generated in the process of performing the iterative operation cannot be avoided. In this paper, we propose the adaptive total variation method by mapping the control parameter to the proposed transfer function for minimizing boundary error. The proposed transfer function is determined by the noise variance and the local property of the image. The proposed method was applied to 464 tooth images. To evaluate proposed method performance, PSNR which is a indicator of signal and noise's signal power ratio was used. The experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance than other methods.

The Design Method of GNSS Signal Using the Analysis Result of Receiver Performance (수신 성능 분석을 이용한 위성항법 신호 설계 방안)

  • As the importance of GNSS system increases, the necessity of independent system is increased also. When the independent GNSS system is required, GNSS signal design is necessary with requirement definition. This paper suggests the design method of GNSS signal using the analysis result of receiver performance. First, the candidates are defined based on the design elements. Then the receiver performance of the candidates is analyzed based on the performance evaluation parameters. The weights of performance evaluation parameter are defined in order to consider the receiver performance in a various aspects. Finally, the calculation of normalized performance evaluation parameters and weights are derived to obtain the compared value for signal selection. Spreading code, modulation method and carrier frequency are considered as design parameters. Also, correlation width, DLL PLL thermal noise jitter, frequency bandwidth and side lobe peak ratio are considered as performance evaluation parameters. And positioning performance, robustness to noise, bandwidth efficiency are considered as the performance aspects. This paper analyzes the performance of each candidate using software based simulator and suggest the method to compare objectively the performance of each candidates.

Segmentation Method of Overlapped nuclei in FISH Image (FISH 세포영상에서의 군집세포 분할 기법)

  • This paper presents a new algorithm to the segmentation of the FISH images. First, for segmentation of the cell nuclei from background, a threshold is estimated by using the gaussian mixture model and maximizing the likelihood function of gray value of cell images. After nuclei segmentation, overlapped nuclei and isolated nuclei need to be classified for exact nuclei analysis. For nuclei classification, this paper extracted the morphological features of the nuclei such as compactness, smoothness and moments from training data. Three probability density functions are generated from these features and they are applied to the proposed Bayesian networks as evidences. After nuclei classification, segmenting of overlapped nuclei into isolated nuclei is necessary. This paper first performs intensity gradient transform and watershed algorithm to segment overlapped nuclei. Then proposed stepwise merging strategy is applied to merge several fragments in major nucleus. The experimental results using FISH images show that our system can indeed improve segmentation performance compared to previous researches, since we performed nuclei classification before separating overlapped nuclei.
