마이크로 코어 핀 정밀 연삭 시스템 (Precision Grinding System for Micro Core-pin)

  • 본 사출 금형을 통해 제품 생산 시 사출 금형 내에서 제품 형상을 형성하는 코어는 금형 내부에 틀의 형태로 가공되어 설치되며 이때 부분적인 코어의 형상을 핀에 가공하여 설치하는 부품을 코어 핀이라 한다. 이러한 사출 코어 용 코어 핀은 제품의 소형화 집적화에 따라 그 크기가 마이크로의 크기로 작아지고 있다. 하지만 이를 가공 시 기존의 센터리스 연삭 장치로는 마이크로 사이즈의 피삭재를 고정하여 밀착 시켜주는 장치의 부재로 인해 진동이 발생한다. 이러한 이유로 마이크로 크기의 직경을 가지는 코어 핀의 경우 가공 시 진동에 의해 변형 발생으로 가공 불량률이 매우 높다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 마이크로 크기의 코어 핀을 가공하기 위해 기존의 평면 연삭기에 설치하여 사용이 가능한 소형의 연삭 시스템을 개발 하였다. 이를 이용하여 코어 핀에 대한 연삭 실험을 진행하였으며 표면 거칠기, 진원도, 원통도의 측정을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.

  • We made to develop CNC Tool Grinding Machine automating the linear motion of X,Y,Z axis of table, and thetilting and rotation of tool holding vice by using Encorder to increase the efficiency of tool grinding for the Conventional Tool Grinding Machine. We did not consider the part of static, dynamic and thermal behavior that must necessary consider when wedesign, because we used existing Conventional Tool Grinding Machine as it is. We investigated simulation to make existing Conventional Tool Grinding Machine like CNC. We also designed it, and we compared the capability of existing Conventional Tool Grinding and CNC Tool Grinding Machine, and we investigated, too.

  • 최근 CNC 공작기계의 고속화와 고정밀화에 따른 고속가공이 세계적으로 급속히 진전되고 있는데, 우리나라 역시 이러한 추세에 따라 고속가공기의 개발 및 시판이 이루어지고 있으며 금형가공업체 같은 공작기계를 주로 사용하는 업체애도 급속히 고속가공기의 도입이 이루어지고 있다 하지만 고속 가공에 중요한 역할을 하는 엔드밀의 성능이 뒷받침 되지 않는다면 이러한 고속가공기의 발달은 큰 의미를 갖지 못한다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 엔드밀의 개발은 고속가공기술의 도입에 있어서 꼭 필요하다.(중략)

  • This report deals with a feeding system of the Coaxal grinding machine, processing optical ferrule. This report also examines the applicability of using the feeding system for the Coaxial grinding machine, by mean of conducting performance estimation. The results are as follow; Repeatability of regulating wheel is $17{\mu}m$, R/W rotation accuracy is between $30\;\~\;40{\mu}m$. This means 'Rotation accuracy' is lower than the concentricity level. Backlash generation level at the feeding system of the grinding wheel is under $1{\mu}m$, thereby positioning accuracy is controlled within $2{\mu}m$ In terms of repeatability, you can find occasional error at the returning process from the starting point. This error is resulted from the measurement tolerance of the starting point sensor. We will get the repeatability level under control by $1{\mu}m$, through improving the soft-ware used and up-grading the sensor at the starting point.

무심연삭기 주축계의 설계 및 성능평가 (Design and Estimation of a Spindle System for Centerless Grinding Machine)

  • Design and estimation of a spindle system which was composed of grinding spindle and regulating spindle for the centerless grinding of ferrule was performed and prototypes of each spindle were manufactured. Loop stiffness of the spindle system was 130 N/${\mu}m$. Although the value was lower than the target value of 150 N/${\mu}m$, as there included 20% of the safety factor, it was enough to machine the ferrule. Rotational accuracies of each spindle were about 0.2${\mu}m$ at the primary speed of 2,300 rpm(grinding spindle) and 300 rpm(regulating spindle). Temperature rises at the same speed were about $4.4\;\~\;4.7^{\circ}C$ in the case of grinding spindle and $1.8^{\circ}C$in the case of regulating spindle, which were well agreed with the designed value. From these results, it was estimated that the prototype of spindle system had a enough performances for the centerless grinding machine to machine the ferrule.

  • 3.2YSZ melted by the 'skull melting' method has good physical properties and does not undergo low-temperature degradation. Due to its excellent physical and mechanical properties, skull-melted 3.2YSZ has been developed as a dental implant material. In this study, a porous, resin-bonded diamond wheel was created and its grinding characteristics were compared with those of traditional nonporous wheels using skull-melted 3.2YSZ. The experimental results indicate that the porous, resin-bonded diamond wheel requires less grinding force and power. In addition, the porous, resin-bonded diamond wheel requires a greater degree of roughness.

한, 일산 연삭 숫돌의 연삭 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A study on the Grinding Ability Evaluation of Grinding Wheel made in Korea and Japan)

  • Although the system for establishing grinding operation standards mainly depends on the simulation method, it is desirable to obtain highly reliable grinding data and to develop experimental technology, And, it also needs to modify the simulation models if the simulation results do not coincide with special situation due to the difference of grinding machine, wheels and workpiece materials. If simple tests are carried out to evaluate these specificity, the reliability and utility of the system can be raised higher. Therefore, it is required for evaluating wheel ability and confirming the validity of the experimental methods as well as the possibility of exchanging the experimental data between Korea and Japan to preform several kinds of grinding experiments. In this paper, experiments of cylindrical plunge grinding were conducted using the wheels of the same specification made by three typical grinding wheel manufacturers both in Korea and Japan, respectively. The grinding power consumption grinding force, the ground surface roughness, and wheel wear were measured under the same dressing the grinding conditions. The average value and standard deviation of the experiment results were calculated to compared the grinding performance of the wheels made in both countries. The experiment results show that the grinding wheel performance of Korea's is nearly equal to that of Japan's for general purpose of grinding operation. In conclusion, it is possible to exchange the experimental data between Korea and japan.

  • Design and performance evaluation of a spindle system which was composed of a grinding spindle and a regulating spindle for the centerless grinding of ferrule were performed in this paper. Layout and details of spindle system were designed and hydrostatic bearings for spindles were also designed. Prototype of spindle system was developed and its availabilities to machine the ferrule were discussed using the experimental results on the spindle stiffness of each spindle, loop stiffness, rotational accuracy and thermal characteristics. Loop stiffness of the spindle system was $130\;N/{\mu}m$, which was enough to machine the ferrule. Cross-hole Type 밀링용 비 연삭 인서트의 가공성능평가 (Cutting Performance Evaluation of Non-Ground Cross-hole Type Milling Insert)

  • The existent cutting insert have occupied most product of grinding style, because it has a problem of accuracy and manufacturing process. The product has a concept but development is difficult, because grinding and manufacturing by press are impossible. But by development and stabilization of a technology, preference of non-ground insert increases gradually. And then insert that grinding is impossible is developed availably as non-ground product by using developed equipment and software. In this paper reports some experimental results on the machining performance of non-ground Cutting inserts. Three kinds of Cutting inserts were manufactured without using grinding process. Machining experiments were carried out to compare the machining performance of non-ground inserts with that of ground ones. The experimental results indicate that the cutting forces and tool wear and surface roughnesses of machined surface of both ground and non-ground inserts are comparable.

외부가압 공기베어링의 동적 특성에 관한 해석

  • 최근 전자 및 광학분야에 있어서의 눈부신 발전은 비구면 가공기나 초정밀 연삭기와 같은 초정밀 가공기계의 개발과 실용화에 힘입은 바 크다. 이러한 초정밀 가공기의 성능을 좌우하는 핵심요소로서 주축계를 들 수 있으며, 비교적 소형 경량의 공작물을 가공하는 기계의 주축용 베어링으로는 오일 베어링을 대신하여 공기베어링이 점차 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 점급기원의 가정하에 직접수치해법을 사용하는 해석 프로그램을 작성하여, 무차원화된 설게 변수들에 대한 외부가압 공기베어링의 정$\cdot$동특성수들을 구하고, 여기서 구해진 베어링의 정$\cdot$동특성수를 사용하여 베어리으이 공기막 반력을 계산한 후, 축중심 궤적의 비선형 해석을 수행함으로써 주축 회전 정도를 예측하고자 한다.
