On the Characteristics of Precipitation Distribution of the Korean Peninsula according to the Latitudinal Location of the Changma Front (장마전선의 위치로 본 한반도 강수분포의 특성)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the characteristics of precipitation distribution of the Korean Peninsula according to the latitudinal location of the front for the Changma season. In the Korean Peninsula there are much rainfalls in the regions near the Changma Front and these regions have much annual mean rainfall. When the front is going north across the latitude of $30^{\circ}N$, precipitation is increased in the whole country and it is the beginning time of Changma. The day which has rainfall less than 10 mm a day appears frequently around the neighborhood of the Gaema plateau in the Changma season. In the basin of the Cheongcheon River the greater part of much mean rainfall of June and July is explained by the precipitation of the cases of no front in $128^{\circ}E$ and that for fronts of the latitude zone of $30{\sim}33^{\circ}N$ which is far from the basin, and this is a different point from the other much rainfall region in Korea.

  • 제주 ${\pm}80kV$ 가공선로는 다양한 가공송전선 중에서 송전용량을 증대시킬 수 있으면서도 기계적인 특성이 뛰어나고(이도특성 우수) 경제성이 있는(지지물 설치비용 및 운영 유지보수 비용 저렴) 전선을 고려하였다. 그 결과, 제주 ${\pm}80kV$ HVDC 가공선로 본선과 귀로선은 최종적으로 ACCC/TW 전선으로 선정하였다. 전선의 단면적은 교류와 직류를 동시에 운전하게 될 제주 시험선로의 특성을 고려하여 송전용량을 주안점으로 두어 154kV 교류 ACSR $330mm^2$에 송전용량에 상응하는 ACCC/TW 전선으로 도체 단면적 $160mm^2$ 전선을 채용하였다.

Study on relationship between the Wirecutter Length and the Control Input of Rotorcraft (회전익 항공기의 전선절단기 길이와 조종입력의 상호관계 연구)

  • This paper shows a length of wirecutter using an analysis based on Rotorcraft's control input and taxiing speed. In case of selecting an inappropriate length of wirecutter which applies to rotorcraft for safety, this causes a collision between blade and wirecuter, or an accident by wire. We review the control input which was used in development stage, and establish the conditions of control input which are needed in taxiing. Based on these conditions, we review the collision possibility between blade and wirecutter through analysis in case of 20, 40, 60 kts taxiing speed. Following, this result is verified by comparison with that of a simulation test in rotorcarft. Finally, in case of high collision possibility, we presented the downsize length to avoid the collision and increment of non-protective area in flight, simultaneously.

  • 한국전력공사 배전선로의 가공설비(특고압)는 2011.03 현재 약 615,089 km가 설치 운전 중에 있으며 해마다 가공전선 단선 고장이 일어나고 있어, 원인 규명 및 방지대책을 강구하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 가공전선 단선사고의 일반적인 사례 LP 애자 설치개소가 아닌 선로 중간에서 단선 고장난 사고사례에 관한 것으로써 전선피복(절연체)의 두께와 impulse voltage에 따른 Pinhole 형성 그리고 단선 메커니즘에 대해서 기술하였다.

Variation of Tidal Front in the Southwestern Sea of Korea (한국 남서해역 조사전선의 변화)

  • To investigate the variation of tidal front in the southwestern sea of Korea, tidal currents were simulated. Tidal front proposed by a criterion parameter (log H/U$^3$)=1.5-2.0 was found further offshore by about 30-50 km in spring tide than in neap tide. This variation is comparable with the observed about 20-60km by satellite image of sea surface temperature (SST). Observed front by satellite is further offshore by about 10-30km than calculated region in southwestern region.

Distribution of Fish Larvae and the Front Structure of the Korea Strait in Summer (여름철 대한해협의 전선구조에 따른 자치어의 분포 특성)

  • A study on the larval fish assemblage around the front area was conducted in the Korea Strait in August, 1993. The front was found in the shelf break located in $35{\sim}36^{\circ}N$. A total of 125 species were found in the study area. Of these Engraulis japonicus was the most dominant species comprising 84.3% of the total fish larvae collected and followed by Maurolicus muelleri accounting for 7.7%. Gobiidae, Callionymidae and Pomacentridae showed higher frequency of occurrence. These five species can be divided into three groups. First group was comprised in the larval fish species such as E. japonicus and Callionymidae which were found in the whole study area. The second group was comprised of Gobiidae and Pomacentridae which were found in the warm area located in the southern part of the front area. The other species was M. muelleri found in the cold area located in the northern part of the front area including the front area. The assemblage, geological distribution and body length composition of the fish larvae in the Korea Strait would be mainly determined by the spawning ecology of the fishes, and the geological distribution and structure of the front which is formed in the ocean boundary between the Tsushima Current and the East Sea Cold Water.

Study of the Characteristics and Crystal Growth of a shorted Wire by Overcurrent (과전류에 의해 단락된 전선의 결정성장 특성에 관한 연구)

  • If an overcurrent exceeding the rated value is applied to an electric wire, the temperature of the electric wire increases, and the electric wire covering deteriorates to cause a short circuit. The upper limit temperature of the wire varies according to the magnitude of the overcurrent. When a short circuit occurs at each upper temperature limit, a cooling speed difference occurs during the solidification process due to the temperature difference between the short circuit temperature and the wire surface temperature. At this time, the pattern characteristics of the dendritic structure formed on the molten cross section are different. In this study, the upper temperature limit, which varied according to the overcurrent magnitude, was measured. At the time a short circuit occurred, the second branch spacing (dendrite Arm Spacing : DAS) of the dendrite was analyzed and the numerical value was quantified. The experimental results showed that the upper temperature limit increases with the magnitude of the overcurrent, and that the second branch spacing increases with increasing wire temperature.

  • 수송용 산업의 하나인 국내 조선업계는 2008년 말 이후 세계 조선경기 불황 속에서도 2009년 451억달러, 2010년 491억달러의 사상최대 수출액을 달성한 바가 있고 세계 조선사 순위에서는 1위에서 5위까지 한국 조선소 등이 우위를 차지하고 있다. 그러나 개별 기업 경쟁력은 우위에 서있지만 중국과의 격차가 많이 좁혀지고 있어 안심할 수 없는 상황이다. 특히 최근에는 탄소배출량이 적은 친환경 선박의 제조가 선박업계 전반의 화두로 대두되고 있다. 이를 위해 다양한 시도가 시도되고 있는데 그중에 하나가 선박의 경량화이다. 금속외장 전선은 선박 무게의 10~13%를 차지하고 있고 전체 사용 전선의 30~40%를 차지하고 있어 선박에서의 금속외장 전선의 무게를 줄이기 위한 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 또한 조선산업 뿐만 아니라 자동차 분야에서도 금속 외장전선이 많이 사용되고 있으며, 자동차의 연비 향상을 위한 경량화 연구가 더욱 절실한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 수송용으로 사용되는 전선의 금속외장을 경량 고강도 섬유를 활용한 하이브리드 wire로 대체하기 위한 편조 기술 및 편조 장치를 개발하기 위한 설계 및 기초연구를 수행하였다. 초경량 고강도 섬유 Armor의 제조기술 및 최적 공정 개발을 위한 연구로서 경쟁사 샘플에 대한 분석을 실시하였고, 사용된 섬유의 성분 분석 및 물성시험을 수행하였다. 또한 원형직기 개발을 위한 구조부 설계를 위해 ANSYS해석을 수행하고 저신율 고강도인 아라미드의 이징모션 시스템 개발을 위한 연구를 수행하였으며 개구 형성방법을 설계하였다. 그리고 초경량 고강도 hybrid 케이블 아라미드 편조 표면 및 내부 가교에 의한 가공 기술을 연구하였다. 아라미드 섬유의 발수성 향상을 위한 코팅재료 선정을 위한 연구를 수행하였고, 자외선 경화공정에서 조건별 데이터를 정립하여 솔루션을 제공하고자 한다.

Experimental Study on the Effects of AC Electric Fields on Flame Spreading over Polyethylene-insulated Electric-Wire (폴리에틸렌으로 피복된 전선화염의 전파에 교류전기장이 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this present study, we experimentally investigated the effects of electric fields on the characteristics of flames spreading over electric-wires with AC fields. The dependence of the rate at which a flame spreads over polyethylene-insulated wires on the frequency and amplitude of the applied AC electric field was examined. The spreading of the flame can be categorized into linear spreading and non-linearly accelerated spreading of flame. This categorization is based on the axial distribution of the field strength of the applied electric field. The rate at which the flame spreads is highly dependent on the inclined direction of the wire fire. It could be possible to explain the spreading of the flame on the basis of thermal balance.
