An Analysis of Change in School Effectiveness of Middle School by Innovation School Expansion in Gyeonggi Province (혁신학교 일반화에 따른 경기도 중학교의 학교효과성 변화 분석 : 혁신학교 확대 운영 정책을 중심으로)

  • Using the 1st to 5th wave data from Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS), this study analyzed the change of school effectiveness of middle schools by innovation school expansion in Gyeonggi province. For this purpose, the analysis employed difference-in-difference model with repeated cross-sectional data and the dependent variable was comprised of academic achievement, school satisfaction, creativity, and sense of community. Results showed that the effectiveness of innovation schools had not significantly different from general schools before innovation school expansion but significantly improved in academic achievement and school satisfaction compared to general schools after the policy applied. On the other hand, the school effectiveness in creativity and sense of community not significantly different between innovation and general schools in both before and after. As time passes, the effectiveness of existing innovation schools in the academic achievement was improved and the school satisfaction was maintained. In addition, the effectiveness in satisfaction of the schools was improved as general schools with high effectiveness in academic achievement were transformed into innovation schools. Based on the results, the policy for innovation school expansion was evaluated and the issues related to this policy were discussed.

  • The study aims at providing enhanced policies of school library opening services. It analyzed various issues on primary school libraries in Gangnam-gu, Seoul which have provided opening services for the last 10years, from 2001 to 2011, in cooperation with the Gang-Nam Gu Council. In theoretical aspect, this study discussed legal grounds, types, strengths and weaknesses of school library opening policies. Furthermore, it conducted a survey and interviewed the primary school librarians and users to explore their understanding about school library opening. As a result, it presented alternative strategies of three aspects; human resource, administrative system and finance for improving school library opening services.

Study on the influencing factors on school adjustment of students with disabilities-Focused on school and disability related characteristics (장애 학생의 학교생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구-학교 및 장애 특성을 중심으로)

  • This study intends to provide basic evidence needed to establish plans to help disabled children and youth adapt to school by analyzing factors to influence on their school adjustment. To accomplish this goal, raw data of Survey of Disabled People in 2014 conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare was utilized for analysis to identify determining factors among level of school, type of school, type of disability, severity of disability, subjective health status, experience of discrimination on disabled children's school adjustment. Results of the analysis are as follows. Level of school, type of school and severity of disability are influencing factors on disabled children's school adjustment. This result shows that the introduction of peer support programs and expansion of special class and auxiliary personnel are needed to assist disabled students' school adjustment.

Improvement of School Sheriff System as a Security Guard Field (학교보안관 제도의 개선 방안)

  • The purpose of this study, which was conducted as a part of investigations for vitalizing the School Sheriff system proposed as a means to prevent school violence and promote school safety, was to survey recognition of elementary school parents toward the School Sheriff system and present an improvement scheme for the system. For the study, we selected as the research object a set of parents whose children attended schools with School Sheriffs and then sampled 200 parents out of them with cluster random sampling, before analyzing 189 finally. Validity of the questionnaire is verified by expert council and factorial analysis, and reliability by reliability analysis. Statistical means including chi-square test, t-test and F-test are used. The result of the study as follows : First, necessity of the School Sheriff system varies by individual characteristics. Second, recognition toward the system itself varies by individual characteristics. Third, recognition toward the role that should be played by School Sheriffs varies by individual characteristics. Fourth, there is a difference in perceiving the role and activity of School Sheriffs, Fifth, whether the system helped improving school safety varies by individual characteristics. Sixth, the satisfaction from the School Sheriffs.

An Analysis of the Impacts of School Library on Student's Learning (학교도서관의 교육적 효과에 관한 이론적 고찰)

  • This paper analyzed four large scale studies on the impact of school libraries on students' learning. It identifies how students benefit from their school libraries and how the libraries contribute to the educational goals of the schools. The four studies were the 'National Power' project study, the Scotland study, the Ohio study, and the Delaware study. These studies developed frameworks for evaluating the impact of school libraries on learning, which give insights on how educational objectives and experiences are related with each other and what indicators are available to measure their impact on learning. Basing on Bloom's Taxonomy of educational objectives and Kuhlthau's model of information search process, the educational objectives of the frameworks included cognitive, affective, and psychomotor/physical domain, plus interpersonal domain. The four studies used such research methods as case studies, observations, interviews, focus group discussions, log data analyses in order to identify various learning experiences and impacts.

초등학교 확률 학습 프로그램 개발과 적용에 관한 사례 연구 - 초등학교 6학년을 대상으로 -

  • 본 연구는 확률의 다양한 의미를 반영한 초등학교 확률 학습 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발된 프로그램의 적용 가능성을 알아보는데 목적을 두고 있다. 먼저 확률의 다양한 의미를 반영한 초등학교 확률 학습프로그램을 개발하기 위하여, 프로그램의 기본 방향을 설정하고, 확률의 다양한 의미를 반영하기 위한 교수 방법을 마련하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 초등학교 6학년 한 단원 분량인 7차시로 이루어져 있다. 다음으로 프로그램 시행 전에 실시한 검사에서 확률적 사고 수준이 상 ${\cdot}$${\cdot}$ 하인 것으로 나타난 세 명의 학생을 연구 대상으로 개발된 프로그램을 시행하였다. 프로그램 적용 전 ${\cdot}$ 후에 실시한 지필 평가와 비디오 카메라로 녹음한 수업 내용과 학생들의 학습지를 검토하여 프로그램 적용 전, 1${\sim}$7 각 차시 후, 프로그램 적용 후의 시기로 나누어 분석한 결과, 세 학생 모두 확률적 사고 수준이 가장 높은 수준인 4수준으로 발전하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 확률을 이론적 의미 뿐 아니라 경험적 ${\cdot}$ 통계적 의미로 접근하면 초등학교 학생들도 확률 개념을 학습할 수 있었다. 따라서 확률을 다양한 관점으로 접근한다면, 초등학교에서도 독립성, 조건부 확률 같은 개념을 유의미하게 학습할 수 있을 것이다.

학교 및 대학 비정규직의 사학연금법 적용에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 학교 및 대학 비정규직의 증가 원인과 실태를 파악하고, 이들의 사학연금법 적용에 관하여 형평성과 보장성 측면에서 분석하였다. 1990년대 노동유연화의 일환으로 교육 영역에서 비정규직이 빠른 속도로 증가해 온 가운데 최근 강사법 개정 등 학교 및 대학 비정규직의 처우나 위상에서의 변화가 발생하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이들이 사학연금법에 적용될 경우, 퇴직급여 측면에서는 지금보다 유리해질 수 있으나, 직무상 재해, 실업, 그리고 모성보호 측면에서는 보장성이 떨어지거나 해당 제도의 부재로 인해 불리해질 수 가능성이 존재한다. 또한 장기재정추계를 실시한 결과, 단기적으로는 재정수지에 긍정적일 수 있지만 중·장기적으로는 점차 부정적으로 작용할 수 있음을 예측할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 학교 및 대학 비정규직을 사학연금법에 적용하기에 앞서 사학연금 차원의 제도 개선이 반드시 선행되어야 함을 제언하였다.

The Relationship between Smartphone Use, School Violence Attitudes, Bullying Situation of Adolescents in Era of Convergence (융복합시대 청소년의 스마트폰 사용과 학교폭력 태도, 학교폭력 역할유형 간의 관계)

  • This study was to explore the relationship between the smartphone use, school violence attitudes, bullying situation of adolescents in era of convergence. The participants were 341 middle school students from two school in G city. smartphone use, school violence attitudes, bullying situation and general characteristics of adolescents were measured. The data were collected from July 2 to 25, 2014. The collected data were analyzed through t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. The result showed smartphone use was positively correlated with school violence attitudes(r=.269, p<.000) and Bullies(r=.251, p<.000). The finding indicate that smatrphone use has an influence on school violence. Intervening approach to prevent and reduce bullying according to each types were required. Based on the research results, this study suggests policy implications for middle school students' smartphone use and school violence attitudes, bullying situation.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore school counselors' experiences with the Support Project for School Visits by Mental Health Experts. Methods: Focus Group Interview were conducted with 13 school counselors to explore the experience of Support Project for School Visits by Mental Health Experts. Reseults: The effectiveness of the project were identified as "Changing school and parental perceptions and attitudes", "Strengthening the capacity of school counselors", "Improving school mental health response capabilities". The facilitating factors and barriers to the effectiveness of the program were identified. And the following improvements were suggested. Conclusion: Based on this, suggestions were made for differentiating the mental health professional school visitation support project and the role of mental health professionals in revitalizing the project.

  • 가상교육에 대한 초등학교 아동들의 교육적 욕구가 증대되고 있는 상황에서 현재까지는 웹기반의 학습내용 게시 및 문제제출 등에 연구들이 많이 진행되어 왔다. 또한 현 교육과정에서 강조되고 있는 협동학습에 대해서도 이론적인 연구들이 많이 발표되었으나, 이를 학교 현장에서 실제적으로 협동학습 프로그램을 개발하여 운영하는 학교들은 거의 없다. 본 연구에서는 웹 기반의 학급 경영모델을 기본 환경으로 구축한 후, 이러한 학급경영모델에 협동학습을 지원할 수 있는 세부 내용을 설계하고 구현하였다. 현재 초등학교 1개 반을 대상으로 구현된 모델에 따라 학급을 운영하면서 학습현장의 문제점에 대해서도 고찰한다.
