Cyber Threats Prediction model based on Artificial Neural Networks using Quantification of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) (공개출처정보의 정량화를 이용한 인공신경망 기반 사이버위협 예측 모델)

  • Cyber Attack have evolved more and more in recent years. One of the best countermeasure to counter this advanced and sophisticated cyber threat is to predict cyber attacks in advance. It requires a lot of information and effort to predict cyber threats. If we use Open Source Intelligence(OSINT), the core of recent information acquisition, we can predict cyber threats more accurately. In order to predict cyber threats using OSINT, it is necessary to establish a Database(DB) for cyber attacks from OSINT and to select factors that can evaluate cyber threats from the established DB. We are based on previous researches that built a cyber attack DB using data mining and analyzed the importance of core factors among accumulated DG factors by AHP technique. In this research, we present a method for quantifying cyber threats and propose a cyber threats prediction model based on artificial neural networks.

Aboriginal Community Archives in Australia and Current Meaning of "Parallel Provenance" (호주 원주민 공동체 아카이브와 '평행출처주의'의 현재적 의미)

  • The purpose of this study is to trace the formation process of "parallel provenance" concept in the context of Australia's aboriginal community archives development and draw its implications for contemporary rebuilding of domestic "past affairs-related committee archives". Focused on historical development of aboriginal community archives in Australia, this writing divides its development into three periods: colonial archives, post-colonial archives, and contemporary archives and investigates each period's distinct features in managing and building of aboriginal community archives. First of all, for colonial archives, it pays attention to Australia's archival tradition, which focused on current record-keeping and then development of multiple provenance resulted from this tradition. Second, for post-colonial archives, it examines the appearance of aboriginal people as the subject of documentation category and name indexing on them. Finally, for contemporary archives, it analyzes current activities of Australia's academic world of archival science for overcoming "the otherness" of aboriginal people through conceptualization of "parallel provenance". Conclusively, through current meaning of parallel provenance, this study draws implications for democratic contemporary rebuilding of domestic past affairs-related committee archives, in which historical victims become the subject of archives.

Function-Based Classification System for Public Records of Government-General of Chosun (조선총독부 기록물을 위한 기능분류체계 개발 연구)

  • Public records, produced during the period of Government-General of Chosun. are essential sources for Korean modern history research. The purpose of this study is to provide a guideline for developing function-based classification scheme for the records. This present paper begins with analyzing archival principles regarding the function-based classification. and examines the problems of current arrangement practices. Based on these analyses, it suggests a guideline for constructing a classification system and a functional thesaurus for the public records of Government-General of Chosun. This guideline also covers functional analysis process and some considerations of different classification aspects which are conceptual, verbal and notational.

  • It is no exaggeration to say that we live with cyber threats every day. Nevertheless, it is difficult for us to obtain objective information about cyber threats and attacks because it is difficult to clearly identify the attacker, the purpose of attack, and the range of damage, and rely on information from a single source. In the preceding research of this study, we proposed the new approach for establishing Database (DB) for cyber attacks using Open Source Intelligence(OSINT). In this research, we present the evaluation factors for cyber threats among cyber attack DB and analyze the priority of those factors in oder to quantify cyber threats. We select the purpose of attack, attack category, target, ease of attack, attack persistence, frequency of OSINT DB, and factors of the lower layer for each factor as the evaluation factors for cyber threats. After selection, the priority of each factor is analyzed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).

  • Found pesticide-contaminated eggs in 2017, the situation became a hot issue in many countries in the world as well as Korea. In the context of the pesticide-contaminated egg, this study explored that preventive behavioral intention would be predicted by perceived susceptibility and severity from health belief model, trust in the government and evaluation of information from the government, and subjective knowledge. We found that preventive behavioral intention was explained by perceived severity (${\beta}=.262$, t=3.531, p<0.001), trust in the government (${\beta}=.25$, t=3.281, p<0.001), and evaluation of the information from the government (${\beta}=.226$, t=2.936, p<0.01) through stepwise multiple linear regression analysis. The findings imply the government would administer policy in terms of credibility, accuracy, and consistency for decreasing the public's sense of unease and panic when a similar incident occurs.

An Analysis of Types, Frequencies, and Sources of Cognitive Backgrounds of the Preservice Teachers' Questions Related to Earth Science Knowledge Presented in Elementary Science Textbooks (초등 과학교과서 지구과학 지식에 대한 예비교사들의 질문 종류, 빈도 및 인지적 배경 출처 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the questions of earth science knowledge presented in elementary science textbooks. In group activities, The questions were created by preservice elementary teachers assuming that they were teaching the earth science knowledge in science education classes at university of education. Types, frequencies, and sources of the cognitive background knowledge of the questions were analyzed. The results demonstrated the followings. First, types, concentrations, and sources of the cognitive background knowledge of the questions were different depending on the domains of earth science. Specifically, in astronomy domain, the frequencies and concentrations of the questions showed different trends compared with other domains in its individual lessons. It suggests that instructional strategies that reflected the difference found in each lessons be appropriately designed and used. Second, it was found that 'schools' was the most dominant sources of the cognitive background. 'Friends' were also found to be very important sources, thus promoting students' interaction with their peers would become an important strategy in science teaching. It was also found that mass media such as 'internet' and 'TV' were roughly rated the same as 'schools' which illustrated that mass media could be utilized in science instruction. Third, since types, concentrations, and frequencies of the questions were diverse in the lessons of units, it is suggested that diverse instruction strategies also be taken into account as an educational approach in teaching the subjects in teacher education.

The Consistency of High school Students Responses Concepts of 'Atmospheric and Water Cycle' according to Task Contexts ('대기와 물의 순환' 관련 개념들에 대한 과제 상황에 따른 고등학생들의 응답의 일관성)

  • The purposes of this study was to analyze the knowledge sources and of high school students' responses on tasks in scientific context and tasks in everyday context, and was to investigate the relationship between the consistency of responses and cognitive style. One hundred fifteen students participated in study. The students were asked to solve ten paris of problems about several concepts of circulation of atmosphere and water. Each pair of the problems consisted of two questions which were about the same concept but were about different context. That is to say, one questions related to scientific context and the other related to everyday context. Every questions included one subquestion in other to investigate the students' sources of knowledge. The students' responses on two questions in each problem were analyzed in order to compare the sources of knowledge and examine the influence of task context. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: First, students' knowledge sources varied by task contexts. That is to say, the students selected 'Science activities in school' as main source in questions related scientific context and chose 'Experience in daily life' as main source in questions related to everyday context. Second, inconsistency score on all paris of problem was significantly higher than consistency score (p<.01). This result indicated students' responses were much dependent on context. third, field-dependent students were more dependent on context, considering higher inconsistency score than field-dependent ones.

German Historicism, Positive Historical Science and the Establishment of Archival System of the 19th Century: Ranke, Sybel, Lehmann and the Principle of Provenance/Original Order (19세기 독일의 역사주의 실증사학과 기록관리 제도의 정립: 랑케, 지벨 그리고 레만과 출처주의/ 원질서 원칙)

  • This article shows how the tradition of German historicism and positive historical science contributed to the establishment of German archival system, especially the principle of provenance and original order. The theory of historicism focused on the recognition and realization of the individuality of the history as a whole unit which is made up of the mutually and organically organized cultural entities. The theory of historicism as this kind of world view got its academic basis from the methodology of the positive historical science, namely the critical reviews on the archival sources which exist in mutually and organically organized record entities. In this context, the scholars of the historicism saw the establishment of the efficient archival systems as necessary. To some great degree, the emergence of the principle of the provenance and original order was its logical result. The author of this paper tried to highlight this point of view historically, on the basis of the activities of Ranke, Sybel and Lehmann around and in the Prussia Privy State Archives throughout the 19th century.

  • 국토 모니터링을 위해서는 다양한 출처와 종류의 자료를 통합하여 제공하여야 한다. 특히 국토 모니터링의 범위에는 원격탐사와 같은 공중 모니터링과 지상 모니터링 자료가 모두 포함되기 때문에 매우 다양한 종류와 속성을 가진 지리정보 자료들이 통합되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 출처와 종류의 지리정보자료를 효과적으로 통합하는 방법으로 형식개념분석(Formal Concept Analysis, FCA)을 살펴보고 사례분석을 통해 이 기법의 적용 가능성을 파악하고자 한다. 연구결과 형식개념분석을 통하여, 다양한 종류의 자료가 가지고 있는 중복을 제거하고 이를 체계적으로 정리하여 통합할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 형식개념 분석의 개념을 파악하고 현재 활용되고 있는 지리정보자료들에 적용하여 평가함으로써 국토 모니터링 자료의 통합기법으로 적용될 수 있는 가능성을 연구하였다.

The Effects of Number, Source, and Sequence of Analogs on Middle School Students' Concept Recall and Application (비유물의 개수, 출처 및 순서가 중학생들의 개념 회상 및 응용에 미치는 효과)

  • The effects of number, source, and sequence of analogs on middle school students' concept recall and application were investigated. Based on the number (one/two) and source(everyday/science) of analogs, four types of learning materials were developed and pilot-tested. Prior to the treatment the field dependence/independence (FD/l) test was administered and the scores were used as a blocking variable. The learning materials were read by randomly assigned middle school students (N=88), and the concept recall and application test was administered immediately and four weeks later. In the immediate and retention tests, there were no significant main effects of number, source, and sequence of analogs. In the application problems of retention test. however, there were some significant interaction effects with students' FD/I. Field-independent students who learned with two analogs scored significantly higher than those who learned with one analog. In the case of using two analogs, field-dependent students who learned with everyday-analog first scored significantly higher than those who learned with science-analog first.
