동물들을 사랑하는 전북대 수의학과 동아리 'Vet장이들'이 반려동물과의 성숙된 공존문제에서 한 발 더 나아가 유기 동물 보호 및 고령자 일자리 창출 문제까지 해결하는 소셜 벤처를 창업해 화제이다. 'Vet장이들' 이름에는 Veterinary(수의사)라는 본분을 기억하며 '장이'라는 이름에 걸맞는 이 분야 최고 전문가가 되고자 하는 포부를 담았다. 창업 1년 남짓 되는 짧은 시간에 가시적인 성과를 이루어가고 있는 Vet장이들 김은정 대표를 만나 흥미로운 창업 스토리와 앞으로의 비전을 들어보았다.

This paper investigates the effects of prior entrepreneurial experience on new venture performance. Entrepreneurial experience has significant impacts on the early development processes of new ventures founded by experienced entrepreneurs. There are inconclusive results on the relationships between entrepreneurial experience and new venture performance. Based on the data of Korean new ventures, this paper empirically analyze these relationships of different entrepreneurial experience on new venture performance. Success experience has positive effects on employment but no effect on financial performance. Failure experience has negative relationships with financial performance as well as employment. There are moderating effect of firm age on the relationship of only failure experience with performance. Finally this paper suggests theoretical and practical implications of entrepreneurial experience on new ventures' development and performances.

All countries of the world are promoting the creative economy policy to overcome the global economic crisis. Korean government enforces the creative economy policy for the economic growth and job creation. Especially, Technology based startup is actively supported to realize the creative economy. To maximize the efficiency of supporting start-ups, we have to analyze a perception gap of the startup success factors between technology based entrepreneur and startup facilitator. Through the analysis, the supporting policy of startup utilized efficiently the limited resources is necessary. So, the purpose of this study is analysis the difference of the startup success factors which technology based entrepreneur and startup facilitator recognize. To analysis, the start-up success factors derived from previous studies were categorized them as 1) characteristics of the founder, 2) start-up strategy, 3) characteristics of the organization, and 4) start-up environment. Also, The CEO of technology based start-ups and the researcher in national research institute to support SMEs were surveyed. Then, Survey was analyzed by utilizing the ANP methodology to priority derivation of start-up success factors. Result of analysis, Technology Based Entrepreneur was determined that 'composition and expertise of organization' is most important factor for success of startup. On the other hand, Startup facilitator was determined that 'financing strategy of organization' is most important factor for success of startup. Both groups are recognized as important strategy. And start-up environment is recognized as a relatively unimportant. On the other hand, the importance which two groups evaluate about characteristics of entrepreneur and characteristics of organization was different. This study has a academic significance to analyze the priority of the startup success factors between technology based entrepreneur and startup facilitator. Also, It can be utilized practical guideline when policy making about technology based startup.

This study suggests the ways to promote the technology startups founded by professor, who differs from student or researcher in social status, risk-taking tendency, and motivation. Literatures were reviewed to understand the advantage of faculty's tech start-up, foreign cases, and related researches. In addition, key stakeholders were interviewed. The study shows that domestic faculty entrepreneurship is currently in infant stage while facing obstacles in institutional, financial and practical aspects. In order to promote faculty entrepreneurship, the study suggests that university and professor set up the benefit sharing structure in advance, that the public sector establishes a holding company or investment fund dedicated to support a faculty startup, that proactive effort be made to attract passive professors to the startup world, and that private companies join faculty startups in the process of concept proofing and product commercialization. The study is expected to provide government, university, and industry with practical implication in promoting faculty startup.
