A Study of Classification of Heart Murmurs using Shannon Entropy and Neural Network (샤논 엔트로피와 신경회로망을 이용한 심잡음 분류에 관한 연구)

  • Heart sound is used for a basic clinical examination to check for abnormalities in the lungs and heart that can be heard with a stethoscope or phonocardiography. In this paper, we try to find an easier and non-invasive method to diagnose heart diseases using neural network classifier. The classifier has been developed for one normal heart sound and five murmurs by using Shannon entropy and conjugate scaled back propagation algorithm. The experimental results showed that the classification is possible with 1.63185e-6 of classification error.

Design and Implementation of Optimal Adaptive Generalized Stack Filter for Image Restoration Using Neural Networks (신경회로망을 이용한 영상복원용 적응형 일반스택 최적화 필터의 설계 및 구현)

  • Image obtained by incomplete communication always include noise, blur and distortion, etc. In this paper, we propose and apply the new spatial filter algorithm, called an optimal adaptive generalized stack filter(AGSF), which optimizes adaptive generalized stack filter(AGSF) using neural network weight learning algorithm of back-propagation learning algorithm for improving noise removal and edge preservation rate. AGSF divides into two parts: generalized stack filter(GSF) and adaptive multistage median filter(AMMF), GSF improves the ability of stack filter algorithm and AMMF proposes the improved algorithm for reserving the sharp edge. Applied to neural network theory, the proposed algorithm improves the performance of the AGSF using two weight learning algorithms, such as the least mean absolute(LAM) and least mean square (LMS) algorithms. Simulation results of the proposed filter algorithm are presented and discussed.

  • The proposed algorithm used the Hybrid teaming rule in the input and hidden layer, and Back-Propagation teaming rule in the hidden and output layer. From the results of simulation of tracking control with one link manipulator as a plant, we verify the usefulness of the proposed control method to compare with common direct adaptive neural network control method; proposed hybrid teaming rule showed faster loaming time faster settling time than the direct adaptive neural network using Back-propagation algorithm. Usefulness of the proposed control method is that it is faster the learning time and settling time than common direct adaptive neural network control method.

  • 단층 퍼셉트론이 처음 개발되었을 때, 간단한 패턴을 인식하는 학습 기능을 가지고 있기 장점 때문에 학자들의 관심을 끌었다. 단층 퍼셉트론은 한 개의 소자를 이용해서 이진 논리를 가중치(weight)의 변경만으로 모두 표현할 수 있는 장점 때문에 영상처리, 패턴인식, 장면인식 등에 이용되어 왔다. 최근에, 역전파학습(Back-Propagation Learning)알고리즘이 이진 공간내의 매핑 문제에 적용되고 있다. 그러나, 역전파 학습알고리즘은 연속공간 내에서 긴 학습시간과 비효율적인 수행의 문제를 가지고 있다. 일반적으로 역전파 학습 알고리즘은 간단한 이진 공간에서 매핑하기 위해서 많은 반복과정을 요구한다. 역전파 학습 알고리즘에서는 은닉층의 뉴런의 수는 주어진 문제를 해결하기 위해서 우선순위(prior)를 알지 못하기 때문에 입력층과 출력층내의 뉴런의 수에 의존한다. 따라서, 3층 신경회로망의 적용에 있어 가장 중요한 문제중의 하나는 은닉층내의 필요한 뉴런수를 결정하는 것이고, 회로망 합성과 가중치 결정에 대한 적절한 방법을 찾지 못해 실제로 그 사용 영역이 한정되어 있었다. 본 논문에서는 패턴 분류를 위한 새로운 학습방법을 제시한다. 훈련입력의 기하학적인 분석에 기반을 둔 이진 신경회로망내의 은닉층내의 뉴런의 수를 자동적으로 결정할 수 있는 NETLA(Newly Expand and Truncate Learning Algorithm)라 불리우는 기하학적 학습알고리즘을 제시하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여, 제안한 알고리즘의 우수성을 증명한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new neural network for the control of a robot manipulator The proposed neural network structure is that all of network outputs feed bark into hidden units and output units from feedback units The feedback units are only to memorize the previous activations of the hidden units and output units and can be considered to function as one-step time delays. The proposed neural network works standard back-propagation Loaming algorithm. The simulation and experiment results showed the effectiveness of using the modified neural network structure in the control of the robot manipulator.

  • 시간 및 주파수 특성 분석이 용이한 웨이블릿을 신경회로망에 적용시킨 웨이블릿 신경 회로망의 파라미터 학습 방법에는 오차 역전파 알고리듬 및 유선 알고리듬 등 여러 가지 방법이 있으나 이러한 학습 방법들은 수렴 시간이 오래 걸리는 단점을 가진다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웨이블릿 신경 회로망의 최적 파라미터를 결정하기 위한 학습 방법으로 일반적으로 비선형 시스템 추정에 주로 사용되는 확장 칼만 필터 알고리듬을 적용한 신경회로망을 제안한다. 또한 제안된 학습 알고리듬을 이용한 웨이블릿 신경 회로망으로 간접 적응 제어기를 설계하여 연속 시간 혼돈 시스템인 Duffing 시스템의 제어에 적용함으로써 확장 칼만 필터 학습 알고리듬을 적용한 웨이블릿 신경 회로망 모델의 우수성을 보인다.

  • This paper proposes a new method of on-line estimation for rotor resistance of the induction motor in the indirect vector controlled drive, using artificial neural network (ANN). The back propagation algorithm is used for training of the neural networks. The error between the desired state variable of an induction motor and actual state variable of a neural network model is back propagated to adjust the weight of a neural network model, so that the actual state variable tracks the desired value. The performance of rotor resistance estimator and torque and flux responses of drive, together with these estimators, are investigated variations rotor resistance from their nominal values. The rotor resistance are estimated analytically, using the proposed ANN in a vector controlled induction motor drive.

  • An intelligent performance diagnostic computer program of a gas turbine using the NN(Neural Network) was developed. Recently on-condition performance monitoring of major gas path components using the GPA(Gas Path Analysis) method has been performed in analyzing of engine faults. However because the types and severities of engine faults are various and complex, it is not easy that all fault conditions of the engine would be monitored only by the GPA approach. Therefore in order to solve this problem, application of using the NNs for learning and diagnosis would be required. Among then, a BPN (Back Propagation Neural Network) with one hidden layer, which can use an updating learning rate, was proposed for diagnostics of PT6A-62 turboprop engine in this work.

Speaker Adaptation Using Neural Network in Continuous Speech Recognition (연속 음성에서의 신경회로망을 이용한 화자 적응)

  • Speaker adaptive continuous speech recognition for the RM speech corpus is described in this paper. Learning of hidden markov models for the reference speaker is performed for the training data of RM corpus. For the evaluation, evaluation data of RM corpus are used. Parts of another training data of RM corpus are used for the speaker adaptation. After dynamic time warping of another speaker's data for the reference data is accomplished, error back propagation neural network is used to transform the spectrum between speakers to be recognized and reference speaker. Experimental results to get the best adaptation by tuning the neural network are described. The recognition ratio after adaptation is substantially increased 2.1 times for the word recognition and 4.7 times for the word accuracy for the best.

  • Subject of this work is the application of neural networks for the signal(motor noise)recognition systems which detects motor failures and employs different signal(noise). Charaoteristics that re-sult from damaghe part and measure of motor construction during working. The four layers neural networks is applied to this examination. And consists of one input layer, two hidden layers, and one output layer, and learns by the back propagation algorithm.The results of this examination show that it the construction and the output power of the testmotor and learning motor are compatible, the damaged part of the testmotor are detected correctly in the system on the other hand, if the motors have different constrcotion but similar output power each other, mislesding results are obtained in this system.
