광복 50년의 역사에는 출판계의 크고 작은 사건들이 자리한다. 출판 50년의 세월은 고스란히 굴곡 많은 우리나라 현대사의 격랑과 함께 걸오온 셈이다. 광복 직후 극심했던 용지난과 일어판 문제 등 업계 공동으로 해결해야 할 과제들이 늘어나자 '조선출판문협회'를 결성했다. 60, 70년대에는 출판계가 꾸준히 요구해온 출판영업 면세안이 국회에서 통과됐는가 하면 80년대는 출판자유화 조치와 함께 이념도서가 해금돼 출판의 금서영역을 무너뜨렸다. 90년대에는 첫 국제도서전시회를 치렀는가 하면 출판계 숙원이 '출판문화단지'의 꿈이 더욱 가시화하기 시작했다. 그런가 하면 '검인정 교과서 파동'이나 '출판사등록 무너기 취소' 학생들의 '서점불매운동' 등 깊은 상처로 남은 사건들도 있다. 긍정적이든 부정적이든 지나온 사건들은 오늘의 출판문화를 일군 밑거름이 된 셈이다. 광복 직후부터 오늘에 이르기까지 출판계에 전기를 마련한 핵심적인 사안들을 살펴봄으로써 우리 출판문화의 미래상을 생각해본다.

최근 디지털 컨텐츠의 기하급수적인 증가와 함께 사용자가 접하고 관리해야 하는 파일의 양이 급격히 늘어나고 있으며 이에 따라 폴더의 계층구조가 넓고 깊어지는 현상이 나타나고 있다. 현재 파일시스템은 크게 두 가지 형태로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 사용자 자신에게 의미 있는(semantic) 계층구조(hierarchical structure)형태의 폴더 내에 파일을 저장하는 방식과 Meta Tag를 사용한 방식이다. 이러한 두 가지 파일시스템을 사용자가 인식하고 Conceptual Model을 형성해 가는 과정에 있어서 사용자의 지리적, 역사적 전통 등의 문화적 요소들이 기저에서 작용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 각기 다른 문화적 성향을 가지고 있는 사용자 간의 File System을 인식하고 구조화하는데 있어서 차이점이 있을 것이라는 가설을 수립 하였고, 가설을 검증하기 위하여 파일 시스템의 사용 행태를 분류하고, 이러한 행태들이 사용자의 문화적 요소에 따라 어떠한 차이를 보이는지에 대하여 페이퍼 프로토타이핑 등의 기법을 사용하여 실험을 설계 하였다. 또한 이러한 연구모델의 검증을 위하여 파일럿 테스트를 진행하여 실효성 있는 가설검증방법에 대한 모델을 제안하고자 한다.

우리나라의 건축사제도나 건축법 그리고 건축관련 교육제도 등이 일본의 그것과 유사하거나 깊은 관련이 있음을 부정할 수 없다. 이는 건축 초기 법제정과정에서 일본의 건축제도를 참고할 수 밖에 없었던데도 원인이 있겠으나 같은 동양문화권으로서 역사나 문화가 유사한 것과도 깊은 관계가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 같은 동양문화권이면서도 중국은 이미 건축가인증제도나 교육제도 등의 정비에 있어 구미식 모델, 특히 AIA의 제도를 도입하는 등 세계화에 따른 시장개방에 적극 대처하고 있는데 반하여 우리나라와 일본은 이에 크게 뒤지고 있는 듯한 감이 있다. 오는 4월 16일부터 19일까지 제주도 서귀포에서 열리는 동북아3국 건축사협의회에서는 시장개방 대응과 건축사자격상호인증 등을 주의제로 다루게 된다. 따라서 이러한 때에 우리와 제도적으로 매우 흡사한 일본의 건축관계 현황을 알고, 그것을 타산지석으로 삼아 앞으로의 대안을 수립하는데 참고가 되기를 바라는 뜻에서 일본의 건축계와 관련된 여러 가지 자료들을 소개하고자 한다.

해방 이후 1950년대 중반까지의 10여년간은, 건국과 전쟁 같은 굵직한 역사적 매듭들에도 불구하고, 출판에 관한 한 사실상 한 시대였다고 해도 틀린 말은 아니다. 이 10여년 동안 우리 출판사는 본질적으로 해방공간 출판의 지속과 확대, 심화과정이라고 할 수 있다. 1948년 8월 15일 대한민국 정부수립이 일정부분 출판환경의 변화를 가져오긴 했지만, '건국'을 기점으로 이전의 출판과 이후의 출판을 가를 만큼 그 변화가 각별하게 의미 있는 것은 아니었다.

This study examines the legend of 'Grandmother Seolmundae and Five Hundred Generals', the cultural archetypes of Jeju, and analyzes the characteristics of its contents. After analyzing the feasibility of using the analyzed cultural prototype as cultural contents such as games and animations, based on this analysis, we tried to suggest a cultural planning approach based on the cultural prototype to the cultural agency. Therefore, the implications of this study are as follows. First, among the cultural prototypes in Korea, 'Grandmother Seolmundae and Five Hundred Generals', which represent the legends of Jeju Island, are being organized centered on many historical researchers and Chaerokga, but there is no precise establishment of the exact timing of the legend and how it arose. Therefore, when planning and developing content based on the cultural prototype, it is most important for cultural agencies to develop a story after researching historical evidence and opinions of local residents to identify a consistent point of view. Second, although the contents of the cultural archetype are arranged slightly differently by historians and recorders, the main contents and characteristics of the story are found to have a similar form. Therefore, cultural agencies should focus on finding the point of view and characteristics of a story, even if a story is written differently by different people when doing a cultural prototype. Third, when planning a game based on the cultural prototype, the main elements such as the elements to be expressed in the game and the fun elements should be found and presented. In particular, because fun and rules are the most important parts of games, if this part cannot be derived from the story of the cultural archetype or cannot be made, it is difficult to transform the cultural archetype into a game. Therefore, it can be seen that it is important for cultural agencies to set their game plan intentions in consideration of story expression and fun, even if it is the core or non-core of the entire story of the cultural archetype. Lastly, although the cultural prototype 'Grandmother Seolmundae and Five Hundred Generals' was presented as animation content, it is important to develop it considering the story, characters, media, and audience. Therefore, cultural agencies should be able to derive the elements such as stories, representative and auxiliary characters, and viewers that can be adapted from the cultural prototype as much as possible. 본지에서 소개하고 있는 '한국의 건축가' 기획연재는 그동안 게재 되었던 이희태(95년 3월호 ~ 5월호), 김정수(95년 6월호 ~ 8월호)에 이어 건축가 김수근(1931~1986)에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 이번호부터 소개되는 건축가 김수근편 에서는 그가 태어난 1931년부터 1960년까지의 유년시절과 건축의 수련기(성장배경과 서울의 북촌, 일본에서의 건축교육)를 시작으로 1960년부터 1972년까지의 한국건축의 새로운 이념형을 찾아서(김수근 건축연구소, 한국종합기술개발공사, 인간환경 계획연구소), 공간시대(1972년~1986년)등으로 구분하여 그의 작품세계를 지난해 12월 15일 개최됐던 제6차 아시아건축사대회 기간 중 우리 협회와 몽골건축사협회가 상호 협력을 위한 협정체결을 합의, 서명함으로써 이루어진 이번 여행은 몽골건축사협회 공식 초청으로 지난 7월 22일 시작됐다. 6박 7일의 일정으로 한몽 건축기술 정보교류 및 우호증진과 상호 긴밀한 유대 관계를 위해 김규태 우리협회 회장을 단장으로 한 방문단은 협회이사와 국제위원 7인을 단원으로 구성, 찬란한 역사를 지닌 몽골을 찾았다. 이글은 초원의 나라 몽골을 다녀와서 방문단의 일원으로 참여한 박서홍(희산건축)씨가 몽골건축을 중심으로 그 문화를 소개, 연재한다.

우리나라 역사의 보고(寶庫)이자 정신문화의 중심인 경북 안동시. 도산서원과 하회마을 등 유서 깊은 선비문화로 유명한 이곳에 앞으로는 '최첨단 친환경 에너지 도시'라는 수식어가 더 추가될 것으로 보인다. 안동시 풍산읍 일대에 대규모 청정에너지 발전시설인 '한국남부발전(주) 안동천연가스건설소'가 점차 제모습을 갖춰가고 있는 중이다. 이곳 현장은 첨단 친환경 신기술을 동원해 시공에 임하고 있는 것은 물론 안동의 상징물인 서의문을 본뜬 정문과 고택의 담장을 연상케하는 담에 기와를 얹는 등 건축물 전반에 안동 고유의 멋과 특성을 고스란히 담아내고 있다. 또한 에너지 파크를 조성하는 등 지역과 상생하는 체험프로그램의 개발과 마련에도 총력을 기울이고 있다. 이 모두 안동천연가스건설소의 자부심과 자랑이지만, 이곳을 더욱 빛나게 하는 것은 따로 있다. 그것은 바로 '안전'이다. 산업재해와 안전사고가 발생해 선비정신에 누를 끼치는 일이 없도록 안전관리에 총력을 기울이고 있는 것이다. 철저한 안전관리로 한국 정신문화의 수도 안동에 새로운 랜드마크를 건설하고 있는 이곳 현장을 찾아가 보았다.

This study aims to examine the structure and meaning of the perception of rural amenity which rural and urban residents have. Many Lickert scaled questions measure how much important the respondents think about the various items related to rural amenity respectively. It reveals that there is not meaningful difference in the relative importance among three upper dimensions composing the construct of rural amenity, historic-cultural dimension, natural environmental dimension and living condition dimension. This means that our respondents are not willing to pursue historic-cultural aspects and natural environmental aspects at the risk of living condition being able to enjoy comfortable and affluent opportunities. And also, this results reveals that people might have a quite different perception compared with academic discourse putting much weight on historic-cultural dimension and natural environmental dimension.

This study is concerned about activation factor and characteristic of street design through survey that in Tokyo, Japan. The factor is largely distinguished form physical and non physical factors, these are institution programs, circulation of goods, space programs as culture and history, and they are form of city, structures, street, open spaces, trees, street furnitures. The investigation about sites that Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Ueno, and Ikebukuro, is resulted in dose-by public transportation, concerned with historic relationship, and increased in special experience of life. It is caused from controlling the law and rules, and making the sufficient infrastructures, and protecting a policy, and specializing with brand effect and place-marketing. The Street furniture emphasize to making street design. This conclusion is that involving physical and non physical factors, activate street design in making places.

The purpose of this study is to examine the progress of negotiations between the two countries regarding the implementation of AFKN's satellite broadcasting on October 4, 1983, as well as the opposition of domestic public opinion, which emerged as an important variable in the negotiation process. Through this, it was intended to lay the foundation for the historical facts necessary to interpret the negotiation process between the two countries over the implementation of AFKN's satellite broadcasting in the context of world history of cultural globalization. As a research method, the historical literature research method was used, focusing on archive documents stored in diplomatic archives. The study revealed that public opinion's movement toward cultural imperialism under domestic political conditions, which had authoritarian control over the media, served as an accidental factor to help carry out the regime's interests of regime protection. Through these findings, this paper interpreted that AFKN-TV's satellite broadcasting, which was implemented under the U.S. Department of Defense plan without the prior consent of the Korean government, clearly shows that Korea has been "semi-forced" into the U.S.-led cultural globalization order.
