  • PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) 컨버터의 제어에 있어서, 입력전압의 왜곡을 고려하지 않을 경우, 시스템의 성능 저하를 초래하게 된다. 본 논문은 왜곡된 3상 입력전압이 PWM 컨버터에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 성능을 개선하기 위한 제어기를 설계한다. 제안된 방식은 단위 역률을 만족시키면서, THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) 및 DC-link 전압의 저차 ripple을 감소시킨다.

A Study on the Leading Phase Operation of Single Phase PWM Converter Train (단상PWM컨버터 차량의 진상운전에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a new operation method for the single phase PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) converter train. Recently, the trains adopting the PWM converter have become the majority in the electric locomotives since there are distinct advantages over the predecessors, which can be operated at near unity power factor. However, a slight modification of the control scheme makes this kind of vehicles run in the region of leading power factor. Although this feature seems to be of no significant use by itself, the leading phase operation can improve the voltage profile and the line loss of the feeding systems is decreased by compensating the reactive power loss along the line when it considered together with the feeding systems. This method is even more economical and efficient comparing with the installation of SVC that is mainly used for this purpose since the train can become a movable compensator. With the conditions and some essential formula for the leading phase operation, a new power factor control algorithm has been proposed to implement this scheme. The results of simulation through SIMULINK model show that the proposed method is suitable enough for practical use.

  • 오늘날 철강 냉간압연의 응용분야에서는 고성능의 장력제어와 높은 신뢰도, 역률 개선, 공장의 생산성 향상 등을 요구하고 있다. 기존의 직류전동기를 대체하는 가변속 교류전동기 구동시스템과 고주파 PWM, 그리고 높은 역률을 보장하는 PWM 컨버터에 의해 이러한 요구사항들은 만족될 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 위에서 언급된 제어요건을 보장하는 철강 생산 설비용 1MVA급 압연시스템을 설명한다. 본 시스템은 하나의 ac/dc PWM 컨버터와 각각 700kw 유도전동기를 구동하는 두대의 PWM 인버터로 구성되어 있다. 제어 알고리듬은 TMS320C40 디지탈 신호처리 프로세서(이하 DSP) 시스템을 이용하여 구현하였다.

  • When solving the problems of electric power quality the converters with high Power factor are useful for the DC arc furnace power supply. In this paper, resonant converters of 50(60) Hz AC to DC arc described, where in each period of network voltage the capacitor and inductor of an oscillatory circuit are switched from series into parallel and vice versa parametrically. The duration of series and parallel connection and also the transformation ratio are dependent on load. Parallel oscillatory circuit restricts the short circuit current. These converters have high power factor from no-load to short-circuit and fit very well to supply are furnaces.

  • 본 논문은 1.8MW 급 ESS용 배터리 충방전기 개발에 관한 논문이다. 제안된 회로의 구성은 삼상 교류 입력을 받아 DC 1150V로 변환시키는 3상 AC/DC 컨버터부와 배터리를 충전과 방전시키는 buck-boost 컨버터부로 구성된다. 출력은 최대 900V, 2000A 이며 C/C, C/V, C/P 모드로 제어된다. 3상 AC/DC 컨버터는 역률을 개선하고, 입력 고조파를 저감시킬 수 있으며, 계통으로 회생이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 배터리 충방전기의 성능을 검증하였으며, 실제 시스템에 적용하여 충전 및 방전 시험을 완료하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 100[W] 고압나트륨램프용 전자식 안정기를 제작하여 전기적 특성을 측정하였다. 개발한 전자식 안정기는 입력전압 277[V], 입력전류 357[mA], 역률 98[%], 시동전압 1.1[kV], 관전압 91[V], 관전류 1.0[A]의 특성을 갖는 것으로 측정되었다.

  • In this paper, a power factor correction (PFC) control circuit using single stage boundary conduction mode(BCM) for the 400V. 120W LED drive application has been designed. The proposed control circuit is aimed for improvement of the power factor correction and reduction of the total harmonic distortion. In this circuit, a new CMOS multiplier structure is used instead of a conventional BJT(bipolar junction transistor) based multiplier where has a relatively large area. The CMOS multiplier can bring 30 % reduced chip area, competitive die cost in comparison with the conventional BJT multiplier.

  • A nobel low-cost, simple and unity-power-factor electronic ballast is presented. The proposed electronic ballast employs a bypassing capacitor- and load networks composed of ballast capacitors and small charge pump capacitors as power factor correction circuit combined with the secondary winding of the transformer in the self-excited current-fed push-pull resonant inverter(CF-PPRI), resulting in cost-effectiveness and higher efficiency. By analyzing the princip1es of power factor correction mathematically, optimum design guidelines are presented. Since the lamps are used in power factor correction stage, the input power is automatically adjusted according to the number of the lamps.

  • This paper proposes the novel boost input type resonant AC/DC converter. Since the proposed converter is single stage topology, it controls both of the input power factor and the output voltage at the same time, and resultingly obtains the high power factor of 99% with average current mode pulse width modulation. Especially, to accomplish the zero voltage switching, the resonance between the leakage inductance and external capacitor is used. For the theoretical consideration of the proposed converter, the six operation modes divided by means of current path are discussed, and the resonance characteristics in steady state are analyzed. To verify the validity of the proposed converter, a 200[W]($120[V_AC],\; 출력\; 48[V_DC],\; 4[A]$prototype converter was built and its experimental results were presented in this paper.
