In the cloud computing environment, there has been a lot of research into the Fog/Edge Computing (FEC) paradigm for securing user proximity of application services and computation offloading to alleviate service delay difficulties. The method of predicting dynamic location change patterns of edge devices (moving objects) requesting application services is critical in this FEC environment for efficient computing resource distribution and deployment. This paper proposes an optimal moving pattern extraction algorithm in which variable weights (distance, time, congestion) are applied to selected paths in addition to a support factor threshold for frequency patterns (moving objects) of edge devices. The proposed algorithm is compared to the OPE_freq [8] algorithm, which just applies frequency, as well as the A* and Dijkstra algorithms, and it can be shown that the execution time and number of nodes accessed are reduced, and a more accurate path is extracted through experiments.
This paper proposes a method to detect a facial region and extract facial features which is crucial for visual recognition of human faces. In this paper, we extract the MER(Minimum Enclosing Rectangle) of a face and facial components using projection analysis on both edge image and binary image. We use an active contour model(snakes) for extraction of the contours of eye, mouth, eyebrow, and face in order to reflect the individual differences of facial shapes and converge quickly. The determination of initial contour is very important for the performance of snakes. Particularly, we detect Minimum Enclosing Rectangle(MER) of facial components and then determine initial contours using general shape of facial components within the boundary of the obtained MER. We obtained experimental results to show that MER extraction of the eye, mouth, and face was performed successfully. But in the case of images with bright eyebrow, MER extraction of eyebrow was performed poorly. We obtained good contour extraction with the individual differences of facial shapes. Particularly, in the eye contour extraction, we combined edges by first order derivative operator and zero crossings by second order derivative operator in designing energy function of snakes, and we achieved good eye contours. For the face contour extraction, we used both edges and grey level intensity of pixels in designing of energy function. Good face contours were extracted as well.

더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea. In a dynamically changing time-varying network environment, the optimal moving pattern of edge devices can be applied to distributing computing resources to edge cloud servers or deploying new edge servers in the FEC(Fog/Edge Computing) environment. In addition, this can be used to build an environment capable of efficient computation offloading to alleviate latency problems, which are disadvantages of cloud computing. This paper proposes an algorithm to extract the optimal moving pattern by analyzing the moving path of multiple edge devices requiring application services in an arbitrary spatio-temporal environment based on frequency. A comparative experiment with A* and Dijkstra algorithms shows that the proposed algorithm uses a relatively fast execution time and less memory, and extracts a more accurate optimal path. Furthermore, it was deduced from the comparison result with the A* algorithm that applying weights (preference, congestion, etc.) simultaneously with frequency can increase path extraction accuracy.
Over the past few years, IoT edges have begun to emerge based on new low-latency communication protocols such as 5G. However, IoT edges, despite their enormous advantages, pose new complementary threats, requiring new security solutions to address them. In this paper, we propose a cloud environment-based IoT edge architecture model that complements IoT systems. The proposed model acts on machine learning to prevent security threats in advance with network traffic data extracted from IoT edge devices. In addition, the proposed model ensures load and security in the access network (edge) by allocating some of the security data at the local node. The proposed model further reduces the load on the access network (edge) and secures the vulnerable part by allocating some functions of data processing and management to the local node among IoT edge environments. The proposed model virtualizes various IoT functions as a name service, and deploys hardware functions and sufficient computational resources to local nodes as needed.
The vision system is a device for acquiring images and analyzing and discriminating inspection areas. Demand for use in the automation process has increased, and the introduction of a vision-based inspection system has emerged as a very important issue. These vision systems are used for everyday life and used as inspection equipment in production processes. Image processing technology is actively being studied. However, there is little research on the area definition for extracting objects such as character recognition or semiconductor packages. In this paper, define a region of interest and perform edge extraction to prevent the user from judging noise as an edge. We propose a noise-robust alignment correction model that can extract the edge of a region to be inspected using the distribution of edges in a specific region even if noise exists in the image. Through the proposed model, it is expected that the product production efficiency will be improved if it is applied to production field such as character recognition of tire or inspection of semiconductor packages.

Nowadays, Data-Network-AI (DNA)-based intelligent services and applications have become a reality to provide a new dimension of services that improve the quality of life and productivity of businesses. Artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance the value of IoT data (data collected by IoT devices). The internet of things (IoT) promotes the learning and intelligence capability of AI. To extract insights from massive volume IoT data in real-time using deep learning, processing capability needs to happen in the IoT end devices where data is generated. However, deep learning requires a significant number of computational resources that may not be available at the IoT end devices. Such problems have been addressed by transporting bulks of data from the IoT end devices to the cloud datacenters for processing. But transferring IoT big data to the cloud incurs prohibitively high transmission delay and privacy issues which are a major concern. Edge computing, where distributed computing nodes are placed close to the IoT end devices, is a viable solution to meet the high computation and low-latency requirements and to preserve the privacy of users. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the current state of leveraging deep learning within edge computing to unleash the potential of IoT big data generated from IoT end devices. We believe that the revision will have a contribution to the development of DNA-based intelligent services and applications. It describes the different distributed training and inference architectures of deep learning models across multiple nodes of the edge computing platform. It also provides the different privacy-preserving approaches of deep learning on the edge computing environment and the various application domains where deep learning on the network edge can be useful. Finally, it discusses open issues and challenges leveraging deep learning within edge computing.
Deep learning advancements can solve computer vision problems, but large-scale datasets are necessary for high accuracy. In this paper, we propose an image generation technique using object bounding boxes and image edge components. The object bounding boxes are extracted from the images through object detection, and image edge components are used as input values for the image generation model to create new image data. As results of experiments, the images generated by the proposed method demonstrated similar image quality to the source images in the image quality assessment, and also exhibited good performance during the deep learning training process.
