본 논문에서는 기존 고층아파트의 승용엘리베이터이용상황에 관한 실제조사를 통해서 거주자의 출입교통량과 엘리베이터 서어비스상태를 분석하였다. 이로써 합리적인 아파트의 엘리베이터 설비계획에 필요한 요소 즉, 엘리베이터와 계단이용현황, 거주구성원별 출입현황, 5분간 수송능력, 동시승차이용자수, 대기시간 등의 관련기초자료를 얻을 수 있었다.

A total of 19 elevators for evacuation were installed in the Lotte World Tower and it is planned to operate the shuttle using the manual key from five refuge floors to the 1st floor in an emergency. In the event of a fire or other disaster, it is necessary to conduct intensive analysis to determine how much RSET reduction could be achieved using the evacuation elevator compared to the existing evacuation plans. When the optimal transportation sharing ratio by the evacuation elevators was 40% at the Lotte World Tower, the RSET of the evacuation scenario in parallel with the elevators in the entire building was calculated to be 1 hour and 2 minutes. The RSET of a conventional evacuation scenario (Walking along the stairs without using the elevators) was calculated to be 1 hour 29 minutes, therefore, the former evacuation scenario were found to have a shortening effect of approximately 27 minutes compared to the latter. On the other hand, to maintain this effect, each part of the evacuation route using the elevator must have the capability to protect the evacuee from any hazards caused by fires, such as smoke, flame, and radiant heat during the evacuation. Moreover, the evacuation route should be continuous from the residence position of the elevator user to the final evacuation site, and be recognized easily.

본 논문에서는 엘리베이터의 제어 신호들과 액추에이터들을 동작시키기 위한 릴레이 그리고 액츄에이터의 동작을 센서와 포토 커플러를 이용하여 샘플링 한다. 제안하는 시스템에서는 예외적인 상황에서 오류가 발생하는 사례를 퍼지 데이터베이스로 구성하고 산출된 엘리베이터에러를 최종적으로 엘리베이터 관리자에게 통보함으로써 사고 발생 시 즉각적인 대책과 인명피해에 대한 빠른 구조 활동을 계획할 수 있도록 한다. 시스템에 사용된 알고리즘은 제어 신호를 입력으로 한 퍼지 if-then rule 이며, 관리자와의 통신은 Bluetooth를 통하여 Embedded Server에 신호를 전송하고 최종적으로 Embedded Server에서 인터넷 IP를 통하여 관리자에게 에러 발생 여부를 통보하게 된다. 인터넷 IP를 활용함으로써 거리의 제약이 사라지고 실시간으로 엘리베이터의 상태를 파악 할 수 있게 된다. 궁극적으로 승객의 안전과 편의를 도모하기 위해 본 논문의 시스템이 제안되었다.

Using elevators for emergency evacuation has been a controversial topic during the past few years. Generally, elevators are not allowed to be used in the event of a fire or emergency situations all around the world. However elevators assisted emergency evacuation procedures are considered and some of the plans are developed and accepted by the building management and local authorities after 9/11 WTC tragedy. The aim of this study is to quantify the benefit of elevator assisted emergency evacuation based on an actual super high-rise building design.

비상시 엘리베이터의 피난 활용은 피난층과 함께 초고층 및 복합연계건축물의 새로운 피난 수단으로 인식되며 현재 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 현 상황에서 엘리베이터의 고려는 대부분 설계단계에서 이루어지나 비상대응계획 차원에서의 명확한 가이드라인 없이 설계자의 판단에 의하여 진행된다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 기존 연구 문헌과 설계자들에 의하여 현재 고려되어지는 요소를 인적, 환경적, 전략적인 고려요소로 구분하여 검토하였다. 엘리베이터 피난에 고려되는 요소를 목적과 기능, 역할에 따라 하위 단계위 구성요소를 설정하였으며 각각의 요소는 상위 요인에 종속되는 것으로 설계하였다. 종합적으로 볼 때 엘리베이터 피난에 있어서의 많은 요소가 고려되어지며, 각각의 요소는 계단과 피난층 등의 피난수단의 복합적인 이용에 따른 피난설계단계뿐만 아니라 유지관리단계에 있어서도 영향을 끼치는 것으로 분석되었다.

최근 축조되고 있는 건축물의 경우 고층을 넘어서 초고층화가 되어가는 현실이다. 이러한 사항에서 현재 이용되고 있는 피난계단 및 수평 수직 피난에서는 고층화가 되어가는 건축물에서의 피난이 어렵다는 점을 인지하여 고층건축물의 필수요소인 EV를 통한 피난계획 작성에 기초적인 자료가 되기 위하여 국외적으로 연구중인 EV피난에 대해서 알아보고 또한 그 내용을 토대로 현재 국내에서의 EV피난에 대한 효율성을 제시하여 향후 고층건축물의 피난계획에 일부분에 기초자료가 되고자 한다.

최근 대형화된 재난사고가 빈번히 발생하고 있으며 이에 따른 건축물의 피난설계가 중요시 되고 있지만 일반인에 비해 재해 시 피난이 곤란한 재해약자가 이용하는 시설에서의 성능설계나 피난계획은 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 장애인 복지시설을 대상으로 피난안전성평가를 실시하여 그 문제점을 도출하였으며 그 결과 장애인시설의 피난안전을 위해서는 피난개시시간, 엘리베이터 피난, 내장재, 발코니 유무, 출구 폭 등의 문제점에 관한 대책이 시급하며 또한 성능기반 피난안전설계 의무화가 우선시 되어야 할것으로 판단되었다.

필자가 재작년 초고층 건축견학을 위해 동경을 방문한 적이 있었다. 오페라 시티를 견학하던 중 갑자기 지진이 일어나 방송이 나오고 있었는데 "지금 일어난 지진의 강도가 얼마이고 빌딩이 견딜 수 있는 범위 안에서 지진이 일어난 것이기 때문에 대피할 필요가 없으니 안심하라"는 내용이었다. 그리고 "엘리베이터는 운행 중 지진이 일어날 때 가장 가까운 층에 이용자를 내릴 수 있도록 하며 지진이 끝날 때까지 완벽하게 통제되어 멈춰있다"고 했다. 지진이 지나간 이후 장내는 전과 다름없이 평온하였다. 그리고 포디움 부분의 연결통로를 지날 때 벽면 사이에서 나는 각종 새소리는 마치 숲속에서 거닐고 있는 것처럼 느낌이 들게 하였다. 이와 같이 완벽한 피난과 방재에 대한 시스템에서부터 보행자를 위한 어메니티 확보 등 거주자의 안전에서 쾌적함에 이르기까지 세심한 배려가 건물곳곳에 배어 있었다.
