Sound Quality Improvement of Car Interior Noise Through the Change of Order Spectrum (차수 스펙트럼 변화를 통한 차실내부 음질 향상)

  • Order spectrum analysis is widely used to grasp the features of noises due to powertrain system including engine and intake/exhaust system. It is known from many previous researches that order components related to the first and second firing frequencies of engine considerably affect the noise of car interior. The purpose of this paper is to find out the difference in sound quality: Pleasantness of car interior noise according to the change of its order spectrum. For this, car interior noises of 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder engines are recorded and their order spectrum levels are modified by applying adaptive digital filters. After subjective listening test employing paired comparison method is conducted, it is investigated that the level change of half-order components is a noticeable factor to improve Pleasantness of the car interior noises whereas level decrease of firing order does not always give the positive effect on its sound quality.

  • 엔진 크랭크축계의 비틀림진동은 엔진설계 및 제작에 있어서 오랜동안 주관심사였다. 크랭크축계의 비틀림진동에서 고려되는 문제는 비틀림진동계의 고유진동수와 이에 따른 차수별 엔진의 공진속도와 엔진의 공진속도에서의 비틀림진동각 및 크랭크축의 비틀림진동에 의한 토오크와 비틀림 응력 등이다. 당사에서는 simulation program을 개발했으며, 비틀림 진동측정 방법도 개발했다. 또한 비틀림진동 측정결과와 simulation결과의 비교로부터 simulation결과 및 측정결과의 정확도를 높여가고 있으며, simulation 방법의 개선을 모색하고 있다. 본 글에서는 이 program에 이용된 기본이론과 실험방법 및 댐퍼 선정 방법을 간단히 소개하고자 한다.

  • 이 논문의 목적은 시계열 예측 엔진의 개발과 그 엔진을 Application S/W로 구현하는 것이다 시계열 예측 엔진은 과거의 데이터를 분석하여 예측을 위한 식의 차수와 형태를 결정하고 이를 바탕으로 파라미터를 결정한 후 미래의 간을 예측하는 3가지 단계를 거친다. 석기에 쓰이는 기법들은 여러 가지가 있는데 본 논문에서는 ARMA(Auto Regressive Moving Average)를 기본으로 분석하였다 Application S/W는. 개발된 예측 엔진에서 분석될 과거 데이터를 입력받아 예측 엔진 구동에 사용되고 그 결과를 그래프로 나타내는 일련의 과정을 거친다. Application S/W 개발의 많은 Programming Language가 존재하지만 본 논문에서는 Visual C누 +을 사용하였다. 또한 이 논문에선, 특정 교차로를 통과하는 교통량 변화에 대한 데이터를 이용하여 예측을 수행하고. 그 결과를 Application S/W에 적용시켰다.

Efficient Rule-based OWL Reasoning by Combing Meta Rules and Translation (메타 규칙과 번역의 혼용을 통한 규칙엔진 기반 OWL 추론 엔진의 성능 향상 방법)

  • 생성 규칙(Production Rule)과 이를 기반으로 하는 규칙 엔진(Rule Engine)을 기반으로 한 OWL 추론 엔진은 메타 규칙((Meta Rule)에 의존해 왔다. 메타 규칙은 OWL의 의미론 (Semantics)을 표현하기 용이하여 보다 손쉽게 OWL 추론 엔진을 구현할 수 있다는 장점을 제공하였으나 OWL 추론 성능에 있어 추론 속도와 대용량 온톨로지 처리 측면에서 모두 만족할 만한 성과를 얻지 못하였다. 본 논문은 DLP(Description Logic Programming)의 번역 접근법을 기반으로 한 번역 규칙(Translation Rules)을 메타 규칙과 혼용하는 OWL 추론 기법을 소개한다. LUBM 벤치마크를 통해 이 기법이 메타 규칙만을 이용했을 때 보다 100% 이상 추론 성능을 향상시켰을 뿐 아니라 메모리 사용량도 대폭 축소시켰음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 번역을 통해 제한없는 차수 제약(Cardinality Restriction) 관련 추론을 지원하는 등 보다 넓은 범위의 OWL 추론을 지원할 수 있다.

  • 웹을 구성하는 웹 페이지들과 페이지들 사이의 하이퍼링크들은 방향성을 지니는 그래프로써 표현될 수 있으며, 웹 그래프가 가지는 독자적인 링크 구조의 특성은 다양한 분야의 연구에서 활용되고 있다. 현재 검색 엔진들이 수집한 웹 페이지들은 그 규모가 수십억 개로 방대한 양을 이루고 있다. 본 논문에서는 약 3억 개의 국내 웹 페이지들을 수집하고, 링크 데이터를 추출하여 생성한 웹 그래프의 구조에 대해 분석한다. 국내 웹 페이지들의 링크의 진입 차수와 연결 요소들의 크기 분포는 멱법칙을 따르고, 웹 페이지의 진출 차수는 특정 차수 이상에서 멱법칙을 가짐을 확인한다. 또한 그래프 알고리즘을 이용하여 웹 그래프를 구성하는 요소들로 나눈 후 전체적인 구조를 도식화한 보우타이 다이어그램을 도출한다.

Simulation of the Initial Wear and Lubrication Performance of Marine Engine Components (선박엔진 부품의 성능 향상을 위한 초기 마모 및 윤활 해석 연구)

  • Recently, the demand for improving energy efficiency has rapidly increased because of the growing concerns over environmental issues. In this work, the tribo-test and simulation for the initial wear and lubrication performance were performed for the piston pin in the small end system of the connecting rod of a marine engine, to obtain useful data for improving the efficiency of marine engine systems. In addition, a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating was applied to the piston pin to explore feasibility of eliminating the bush used in the system. The initial wear and lubrication characteristics between the uncoated piston pin and bush were compared with that between the DLC-coated piston pin and connecting rod in the tribo-test. The simulation for the wear and lubrication performance according to the wear progression was conducted based on the data obtained from the test. The wear characteristics were quantitatively assessed by the wear depth and wear volume, and the lubrication performance was characterized with the change of pressure and minimum oil film thickness with respect to the crank angle. It was found that the DLC-coated piston pin may provide better initial wear characteristics and lubrication performance. The results of this work may provide fundamental information for marine engines with improved efficiency.

  • In this paper, implementation of active mufflers using multiple channel adaptive IIR filter is presented. Usually, recursive LMS(RLMS) algorithms for adaptive IIR filters are highly efficient than filtered-X LMS(FXLMS) algorithms, when the order of both algorithms are the same. However, RLMS algorithms usually diverge before the algorithms arenot yet converged. So, the prefilters are presented to improve the stability by pulling the poles of feedback control transfer function in the beginning of active noise control and returning the original poles after the filters converge. The engine noises of diesel engine automobiles and gasoline engine automobiles are analyzed and the mathematical model of an active muffler is derived. Computer simulations and experiments are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed systems.

  • Two stroke low speed diesel engines that have many advantages such as high thermal efficiency and durability have been widely used for marine engine. However, it is also true that many problems have occurred due to the high explosion pressure and severe operating environment. Especially problems of shaft damage etc. intensively occurred due to the phenomenon of crankshaft exceeding the allowable stress, including the shaft vibration of the engine model in the early stage. In this study, the crankshaft fracture phenomenon of early engine model was evaluated and analyzed by using up-to-date torsional vibration calculation program and measurement instrument. And this was numerically shown.

  • In the past two stroke low speed diesel engine were widely used for marine propulsion. these engine have many merit for example, higher thermal efficiency and durability. however, shaft vibration problem was continuously rise up due to large power of two stroke low speed diesel engine. specially, the initial stage engine revolution counter & stress has acculated. For that reason, sometimes occurred crankshaft crack accident. In this study, regarding the initial stage engine, trying to analyze what is cause the crack phenomenon using by latest torsional vibration calculation program & measurement equipment.

  • Driving sound is an effective element to promote the product identity of a vehicle by providing customers with attractive sound which reflects the concept of a vehicle. Recently, major automakers are focusing on the target sound setting so that the sound can represent the brand image as well as the unique concept of a vehicle. In this study, a new method of target setting for the driving sound will be introduced based on using formant filter and musical harmonics characteristics. In addition, a target sound suggested from this method will be realized and verified by using active noise control in vehicle.
