  • 최근 엔진의 고성능, 고출력화, 저연비화 Maintenance Free화에 따라 엔진의 부하가 증대되었고, Valve Seat에 대해서도 내마모성, 내열성, 내식성 향상이 요구되고 있다. 특히 무연가솔린과 LPG사용으로 내구성을 갖는 High Performance의 Valve Seat 재질을 요구하게 되었고, 엔진의 높은 작동온도등 가혹한 조건하에서 'Recession'이라 일컬어지는 Seat마모가 생기게 된다. Valve Seat는 일반적으로 분말야금법에 따라 제조되고 있으며, 엔진조건에 따라 여러가지의 재질이 사용되며, 높은 온도에서 열전도성과 기공의 산화방지 및 Valve 내구성 향상의 효과를 얻기 위하여 동용침을 하여 사용하는 추세이다. 본 실험에서는 Valve Seat 기공부위의 산화와 마모특성을 조사하기로 한다.

  • 최근 자동차 성능 및 연비향상을 위해서 엔진의 고출력화 및 소형화 경향이 뚜렷해지고 있으며, 이로 인해 엔진내부의 부품이 받는 환경은 더욱 가혹해 지고 있다. 즉, 자동차 엔진 구동부품은 금속간의 접촉가능성이 매우 높은 경계윤활조건에 놓이게 되며, 또한 배기가스 규제로 인한 첨가제를 최소화 하려는 경향에 따라 경계윤활 환경에서 더욱 심한 마모문제에 직면할 것으로 예상되어 내구성 및 내마모성이 높은 코팅기술에 대한 요구가 더욱 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Zr기지의 비정질 형성능을 갖는 합금계를 이용하여 아르곤 및 질소분위기에서 스퍼터링 함으로써 고경도의 ZrN상과 엔진오일과 반응하여 저마찰 트라이보 필름을 형성시킬 수 있는 금소계 원소가 Tissue phase로 존재하는 질화물 나노박막합성기술을 개발한 후 자동차 구동부품인 벨브트레인계 및 피스톤링/라이너 부품에 적용하여 마찰특성을 평가하였다.

Analysis of Test Results for Small Dipstick-Gage-Type Engine-Oil-Deterioration-Detection Sensor (딥스틱게이지형 소형 엔진오일열화감지센서의 시험결과 분석)

  • This paper presents the test results of small dipstick-gage-type engine-oil-deterioration-detection sensor. The measured sensor signal characteristics for the capacitance and temperature are analyzed. The engine oil deterioration condition correlates with the electrical property of the dielectric constant that comprised with physical properties such as TAN (Total Acid Number), TBN (Total Base Number) and viscosity. Several problems encontered during the test of the sensor system are improved. The results of vehicle tests show that the capacitance signal is stable after the engine stops. Therefore, the sensor should start measuring the parameters for monitoring the engine oil condition after the engine stops. The engine is considered to be in a stopped state if the difference between the maximum and minimum values of the oil capacitance measured every 1 min is below 0.02 pF. The key test results in this paper will help in the development of an engine oil change warning algorithm.

Study on Electric and Magnetic Characteristics of Engine Oil in Transport Truck (운송용 트럭에 대한 엔진오일의 전기·자기적 특성연구)

  • In this paper, we investigate the electric and magnetic properties of the engine oil, and estimate its changing time in transport truck. The four diesel trucks are selected, and the capacitance and inductance are investigated with parallel capacitor and induction coil, respectively. The measured capacitance gradually increases up to 10,000~14,000 km due to the activation of antioxidant, and then decreasing phenomena happen. The inductance decreases and the saturation began in 10,000~14,000 km range. Although the behavior of inductance is different from that of capacitance, but changing points are similar. From those results, we can estimate the changing time of engine oil is around 10,000~14,000 km and the inductance can be used for monitoring of engine oil in transport trucks.

Analytical Study on the Optimized Design of Engine Bearings for a Passenger Car (자동차용 엔진베어링의 최적설계에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • In this paper, the minimum oil film thickness and the maximum oil film pressure of engine bearings have been analyzed by using the elastohydrodynamic theory and Taguchi's design method as functions of the oil groove width, oil hole diameter, oil hole position, and oil supply pressure. The optimized design of the engine bearing f3r an automotive Diesel engine is very important for supporting a load-carrying capacity due to gas pres-sures from the engine combustion chamber and inertia forces of the piston. The optimized design data of engine bearings indicated that the optimized oil groove width and an oil diameter of a engine bearing are 8mm at the speed of 2,000 rpm for a given 4-cylinder Diesel engine. Thus, the oil groove oil groove and an oil hole for high performances of an engine bearing may be considered as major design parameters compared to other design factors, which are strongly related to the minimum oil film thickness and the maximum oil pressure distribution of the engine oil.

  • Since the optimization of the diesel engine for the ship cannot satisfy the NOx emission limit by the method of reducing the NOx emission, it is necessary to reduce the NOx by post-processing the exhaust gas. In this study, we will review the feasibility of designing a binary nozzle and mixing chamber duct for effectively converting the number of elements into NH3 in the oil burner for the SCR catalyst unit integrated duct in the ship under development through the computational heat flow analysis for the velocity distribution and temperature distribution.

  • 무리짓기를 통한 인공지능 구현은 게이머들에게 실세계와 같은 느낌을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 오우거 엔진을 이용하여 실세계의 물고기 떼의 무리 짓기 규칙을 응집, 회피, 정렬을 중심으로 시뮬레이션 한다. 구현 결과, 본 시뮬레이션은 실세계에서의 무리짓기에서와 같은 회피, 정렬의 특징을 보여준다.

  • 하드웨어의 발달과 컴퓨터 그래픽스 린 가상현실 기술의 발전으로 일반 PC 상에서도 고품질의 영상을 실시간에 생성하는 것이 가능해졌다. 이러한 발전은 고해상도 가상공간 구축을 가능하게 하여 누구나 자신의 PC를 통해 가상 쇼핑몰이나 가상 박물관 등의 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 최근에는 이러한 기술을 이용한 PC 환경에서의 3차원 게임이 속속 발표되고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 3차원 PC 게임 제작을 위해 필수적인 기술인 렌더링 기술 요구사항을 분석하고, 이를 렌더링 엔진의 형태로 설계하고 구현하는 방법을 제안한다.

A Study on the Engine Oil Life for Small Size Single Cylinder Engine. (단기통 소형 엔진의 엔진오일 수명에 관한 연구)

  • The engine oil life was examined experimentally for small size single cylinder engines. This study was conducted in the laboratory. An Eddy Current type engine dynamometer was used with a motorcycle and a cultivator engine. Physical and chemical properties of used oil was analyzed to examine the oil life. Flushed oil was used for the reference instead of the new oil. It were found that deterioration of dynamic viscosity and anti-wear property of engine oil was due to dilution by fuel not depletion of ZDTP.
