전투기용 레이다 기반 SAR 영상 자동표적분류 기능 구조 및 CNN 앙상블 모델을 이용한 표적분류 정확도 향상 방안 연구 (Study on the Functional Architecture and Improvement Accuracy for Auto Target Classification on the SAR Image by using CNN Ensemble Model based on the Radar System for the Fighter)

  • The fighter pilot uses radar mounted on the fighter to obtain high-resolution SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images for a specific area of distance, and then the pilot visually classifies targets within the image. However, the target configuration captured in the SAR image is relatively small in size, and distortion of that type occurs depending on the depression angle, making it difficult for pilot to classify the type of target. Also, being present with various types of clutters, there should be errors in target classification and pilots should be even worse if tasks such as navigation and situational awareness are carried out simultaneously. In this paper, the concept of operation and functional structure of radar system for fighter jets were presented to transfer the SAR image target classification task of fighter pilots to radar system, and the method of target classification with high accuracy was studied using the CNN ensemble model to archive higher classification accuracy than single CNN model.

  • The optimum design and the performance analysis software called POSEIDON for the HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) was developed by use of BEMT. The Prandtl's tip loss theory was adopted to consider the blade tip loss. The lift and the drag coefficient of S-809 airfoil were predicted via X-FOIL and also the post stall characteristics of S-809 were estimated by the Viterna's equations. All the predicted aerodynamic characteristics are fairly well agreed with the wind tunnel test results, performed by Sommers in Delft university of technology. The rated power of the testing rotor is 20kW(FIL-20) at design conditions. The experimental aerodynamic parameters and the X-FOIL data were used for the power prediction of the FIL-20 respectively. The comparison results shows good agreement in power prediction.

  • 디젤 엔진 배기가스 중의 황산화물(SOx)은 산성비의 원인이 될 뿐 아니라 인체에 대해서도 상당히 치명적인 위험을 초래하는 성분으로 지금까지는 다른 오염물질인 질소산화물 (NOx), 입자상 물질(particulate matter) 등에 비해서 상대적으로 덜 주목을 받아왔다. 국제적인 황산화물 배출규제의 경우, '황산화물 배출규제지역' (SECA : SOx Emission Control Area)에 대해 엄격한 배출규제가 시행되고 있는데, 대부분 황함량을 1.5%이하의 연료를 사용하거나, 후처리 설비를 설치해서 배기가스 중의 황산화물을 6.0g/kWh 이하로 유지하도록 규정하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강화되고 있는 디젤엔진 배기가스 중의 황산화물과 입자상 물질을 저감하기 위한 설비로서, 높은 경제성 및 신뢰성 등의 장점으로 인해 선정 가능성이 가장 높은 스크러버 시스템에 대해 독자모델 설계를 수행하였으며 파일롯 설비를 활용한 실제 디젤엔진에 대한 실험을 통하여 운전조건에 따른 제거효율, 발생되는 처리수의 성분, 그리고 디젤엔진 운전에 영향을 미치는 압력손실 등에 대한 데이터를 확보함으로써 실제 선박적용에 대한 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • Since HiMSEN H21/32, a new medium speed diesel engine of Hyundai's own design, was introduced in 2001, Hyundai has added new models of H25/33 and H17/28 into HiMSEN engine family. These two new engines take after faithfully to the original HiMSEN concept of a PRACTICAL engine by Hi-Touch and Hi-Tech. The prototype of H25/33 was developed jointly with Rolls Royce Bergen originally and also introduced in 2001. But most of the engine design have been changed by Hyundai for the commercial versions to be a member of HiMSEN family, which has little interchangeability with the prototype. H17/28 is now under development as the smallest size of the family. This new engine also has the longest stroke of a class engine, which has been proven as the best basis for future environmental challenge. The higher compression ratio of 17 and optimized Miller Timing with Simplified pulse turbocharging system applied all HiMSEN engines as which showed the most practical solution against current heavy fuel combustion issues for the time being before introducing digital control system. This paper describes the design and development of these new HiMSEN engines and also reviews the service experiences of H21/32 and H25/33, which launched successfully.

시스템공학 표준 프로세스에 대한 그래픽 모델화 연구 (A Study on Graphical Modeling Methods for Systems Engineering Standard Processes)

  • The emerging standards since 1990's can be classified as 'system standards' (process-oriented standards) and they specify the process of an enterprise and also apply to almost all industries regardless of size, type and products. Notice that the conventional specification-oriented standards present relatively clear criteria even though the structure, performance, and terminology are defined in text-based form. However, the system standards dealing with the processes do not present a coherent guide. Therefore, it is difficult to analyze them with the same viewpoint, thereby resulting in differences in the level of understanding. This study is aimed at graphically modeling the system standards originally described in text-based form. The study has been carried out in the framework of the PMTE (Process, Methods, Tools, and Environment) paradigm. The system standard targeted here is ISO/IEC 15288. Firstly, review of the literature on the systems engineering (SE) standard/process and on the graphic model IDEF0 was done, respectively, for the parts of 'E' and 'M'. Then the SE process of the MIL-STD 499B was applied to ISO/IEC 15288 as 'P'. Finally, the graphical model was generated by AI0Wins as 'T'. As a result, the graphical model-based approach can complement the drawbacks of the text-based form.

  • 본 논문은 조직원의 지식을 종합화하는 프로세스를 고찰한다. 이전의 관련 연구는 관리적, 사회적 관점에서 프로세스의 부분에 국한하거나 정성적 분석에 초점을 맞추었다. 본 연구는 프로세스를 통합적이고 계량적으로 살펴보는 엔지니어링 접근법을 제안한다. 이를 위해서 대기네트워크 이론을 도입하여 지식종합화 환경의 구성요소들 간의 상호작용을 포착하는 모델과 적용 방법론을 기술한다. 이를 통해서 지식종합화 프로세스의 성과지표를 도출할 수 있고, 이러한 지표는 지식종합화 프로세스를 개선하기 위한 계획이나 통제에 효과적으로 사용이 될 수 있을 것이다.

케이슨의 3D 설계 및 안정 검토 자동화 시스템 개발 (The Development of Automated System for 3D Design and Stability Evaluation of Caisson)

  • In this research, the automated system for 3D modeling and stability evaluation of caisson was developed. It is possible to build a BIM model while examining the stability of the structures to improve the practical use of BIM technology. This study analyzed industry cases and guidelines for caisson stability evaluation and BIM-based modeling. As a result, the data for calculating the stability evaluation of caisson as well as the modeling parameters were derived. In particular, the automated system for 3D modeling, which reflects more than 30 parameters, allows for BIM models for various types of the caisson, such as open-cell caisson, open-cell caisson with uneven, slit caisson, slit caisson with uneven, and curved caisson. The study tested the proposed system using case studies and found that it helps not only to automate the BIM model with various caisson types as parameters but also to make partial shape changes accessible. The study also confirmed that the stability evaluation can be quickly carried out with shapes changed. Finally, the study results suggest that the proposed method should complete the task seven times as fast as the conventional work method.

모델 기반 중소형 플랜트 형상관리 시스템의 효과성 평가 사례 (A case on the Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Model based Configuration Management System for Small/ Medium-Sized Plant)

  • Plant Configuration Management(CM) is an activity to maintain consistency of design requirements, physical configuration, facility configuration information throughout the life cycle of the plant by systematically managing changes that occur during the plant design and operation process. Conformity between information must be ensured not only in the design stage, but also in the case of design changes in the operation and maintenance stages, and thus a computer system capable of efficiently managing them is required. In particular, in consideration of an application to small and medium-sized domestic plants, a computer system that can support configuration management at a low cost is needed. Accordingly, in this study, a configuration management system has been developed to support the management of plant design information and change procedures in the operation stage of small and medium-sized plants. Here, a case for quantitatively evaluating the effectiveness of the developed system is described.

해상전 워게임모델의 교전 피해평가 수준 및 산정방법론 - 함정 피해평가를 중심으로 - (Methodology of battle damage assessment in the naval wargame model - Forcusing on damage assessment of warship -)

  • Wargame is a simulated military operation with certain rules, specifications, and procedures, in which soldiers can virtually and indirectly experience the war. The ROK Navy operates the Cheonghae model, a training wargame model for helping commanders and staff master the procedures for conducting the war. It is important for commanders, staff and analysts to know whether a warship can perform its missions and how long it can last during a war. In existing model, the Cheonghae, the probability of kill of a warship is calculated simply considering the number of tonnage without any stochastic elements, and the warship's mission availability is also determined based on predetermined values. With this model, it is difficult to get a value of the probability of kill that makes sense. In this dissertation, the author has developed a probabilistic model in which the warship vulnerability data of ROK-JMEM can be used. A conceptual model and methodology that can evaluate the mission performance of personnel, equipment, and supplies has been proposed. This can be expanded to a comprehensive assessment of wartime warship loss rates by integrating damage rates for personnel, equipment, and supplies in wartime.

도로 노면결빙 판정모델을 적용한 도로결빙 예측에 대한 연구 (A study on road ice prediction by applying road freezing evaluation model)

  • 본 연구는 도로 노면결빙 판정 알고리즘을 적용하여 도로결빙 구간에 대한 시나리오를 분석하였다. 도로결빙 알고리즘 적용을 위해서, 도로 결빙에 대한 영향인자를 검토하고, 분석을 위해서 목감IC, 정릉터널, 성산대교, 염창교 등 4지점의 관측자료를 활용하였다. 관측소는 모두 고속화도로에 설치되어 있으며, 도로 결빙 특성 분석을 위하여 분류하였다. 도로 결빙 판정 알고리즘의 노면온도-노점온도 차가 3℃ 이하일 때 도로결빙 발생 구간을 확인하고 결빙 구간의 노면상태와 수막두께 변화를 통해 도로 결빙 판정을 도출하였다.
