Performance Assessment Methodology of Energy Conservation and Efficiency with Consideration of Baseline and Target Adjustment (베이스라인 조정에 의한 에너지소비 및 원단위 목표설정과 성과평가에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a method for developing the performance assessment of energy conservation and efficiency based on baseline and target adjustment approach. Energy consumption is related with output level and production structure. This paper suggests improvement for target establishment and performance assessment with regard to real output level in target year. Numerical illustrations of baseline and target adjustment method are shown different compared with the general assessment results. This study will contribute to applying the conformity assessment and Greenhouse Gas Emissions verification system.

An Analysis on the Value Chain of Korean Bioenergy Industry (한국 바이오에너지산업의 가치사슬 구조 분석)

  • This study analyzes whether the value-added structure of Korean bioenergy industry exhibits a virtuous cycle through the value chain(VC) within bioenergy firms, using a regression analysis based on a survey to Korean bioenergy companies. As a result, in Korean bioenergy companies, the R&D outputs positively influence an increase in production, and a decrease in production costs positively influences an increase in profit rates per sales. However, the government's supports for R&D is analyzed neither to lead an increase in corporates' R&D investments, nor to contribute to an increase in their R&D outputs. In addition, it turns out that an increase in production does not contribute to a decrease in production costs. Besides, it is analyzed that an increase in profit rates per sales does not contribute to an increase in production or an increase in the R&D investments. The virtuous cycle of the value chain in Korean bioenergy firms is, therefore, estimated to be weak. This study has a policy implication to need further efforts to create the virtuous cycle in the VC of Korean bioenergy industry.

Performance Evaluation of a Closed-Loop Pressure Retarded Membrane Distillation for Brackish Water Desalination and Power Generation (기수담수화와 전력 생산을 위한 폐루프형 압력 지연식 막 증류 공정의 성능 평가)

  • In this study, we investigated the applicability and optimal operating strategy of a closed-loop pressure retarded membrane distillation (PRMD) for brackish water desalination. For effective operation with net power generation, high temperature of heat source over 90 ℃ and feed flow rate at 0.6 kg/s are recommended. At 3 g/L of feed concentration, the average permeate flux and net energy density showed 8.04 kg/m2/hr and 2.56 W/m2, respectively. The average permeate flux and net energy density were almost constant in the range of feed concentration from 1 to 3 g/L. Compared to the case with seawater feed, the PRMD with brackish water feed showed higher average permeate flux and net energy density. Thus, PRMD application using brackish water feed can be more effective than that using seawater feed in terms of power generation.

  • 국제적으로 에너지관련 연구는 매우 비약적인 발전을 해가고 있다. 전기 에너지쪽을 살펴보면 발전소의 전기생산량은 호기당 나날이 늘어만 가고 있고, 이 호기당 전기 생산량은 터빈 또는 보일러의 금속의 재질의 한계성 때문에 열이나 압력등이 일정 수준이상으로 올라가기가 힘들다. 요즘은 이런 이유 때문에 단위기기 효율 향상이나 주변기기 효율 높혀서 궁극적으로 전체 효율을 높이는데 연구의 초점을 돌리고 있다. 발전소 Air Heater Auto Seal은 연소가스를 이용한 보일러내 연소용 공기의 온도를 높이는 장치이다. 발전소 효율의 중대한 영향을 미치는 A/H Sealing의 갭을 효과적으로 조정하여 발전소 효율을 극대화하는 방법에 관해 이론적 해석 및 시뮬레이션을 하고져 한다.

  • 최근 관개배수를 위한 배수로의 활용범위는 농경지의 농업용수 공급과 더불어 농어촌 지역의 전기생산량 확보 등 다양한 방면에서 원활한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 그 중 배수로 내부에 수차의 설치를 연계한 전기에너지 확보는 중소기업들을 대상으로 다양한 수차의 형상과 가동기법 등이 제시되고 있으며, 그 실효성에 대한 실험적 연구가 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 수류의 진행에 따라 양 방향으로 수차의 날개 회전이 가능한 양뱡향 수력발전기의 효율적인 운용 유·무 검토를 위하여 배수로 내 수심 및 유속 변화를 적용한 수리실험(원형실험)을 수행하였다. 또한, 실험 조건에 따른 수력발전기의 전기에너지 생산량을 예측하였다. 실험결과 수력발전기의 날개 면이 물과 접하는 최대 흘수심 구간에서 수차의 회전은 최대가속의 양상을 나타내었으며, 전기생산량은 날개 면의 흘수심이 감소함에 따라 비례적으로 낮게 측정되었다.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient grid-independent ESS control system through the control of renewable energy and agricultural ICT by utilizing the prediction of energy production and consumption. The proposed system is an integrated management system that can perform maintenance and monitoring by visualizing the accurate phase and data of power system. It can automatically cope, collect, process, and control the data. Also, it can analyze the power generation of solar power generation, consumption pattern of installed facilities, and operation trend of facilities. Further, it can predict the consumption of energy production and present the optimal energy management method by using the OpenAPI of the Korea Meteorological Administration, thereby reducing unnecessary energy consumption and operating cost.

Estimation of Annual Energy Production Based on Regression Measure-Correlative-Predict at Handong, the Northeastern Jeju Island (제주도 북동부 한동지역의 MCP 회귀모델식을 적용한 AEP계산에 대한 연구)

  • Wind resource assessment is necessary when designing wind farm. To get the assessment, we must use a long term(20 years) observed wind data but it is so hard. so that we usually measured more than a year on the planned site. From the wind data, we can calculate wind energy related with the wind farm site. However, it calculate wind energy to collect the long term data from Met-mast(Meteorology Mast) station on the site since the Met-mast is unstable from strong wind such as Typhoon or storm surge which is Non-periodic. To solve the lack of the long term data of the site, we usually derive new data from the long term observed data of AWS(Automatic Weather Station) around the wind farm area using mathematical interpolation method. The interpolation method is called MCP(Measure-Correlative-Predict). In this study, based on the MCP Regression Model proposed by us, we estimated the wind energy at Handong site using AEP(Annual Energy Production) from Gujwa AWS data in Jeju. The calculated wind energy at Handong was shown a good agreement between the predicted and the measured results based on the linear regression MCP. Short term AEP was about 7,475MW/year. Long term AEP was about 7,205MW/year. it showed an 3.6% of annual prediction different. It represents difference of 271MW in annual energy production. In comparison with 20years, it shows difference of 5,420MW, and this is about 9 months of energy production. From the results, we found that the proposed linear regression MCP method was very reasonable to estimate the wind resource of wind farm.

Biomass Production of One-year-old Hybrid Poplars and Its Estimation (식재 당년생 신품종 포플러류의 Biomass 생산량 및 생산량 추정)

  • Above ground biomass production of one-year-old hybrid poplars was investigated to select the best clones which are suitable for short rotation forestry. The results were as follows: 1. Average dry weight of Populus alba X P. glandulosa Fl clones was 2.86 for stem,0.41 for branches 0.70 for leaves and 3.97 t/ha for total. and the ratios of green weight to dry weight were 0.47 for stem,0.36 for branches,0.31 for leaves and 0.42 for total. Dry weight of Populus nigra X P. maximowiczii Fl clones was 1.48 for stem, 0.54 for branches.0.71 for loaves and 2.73t/ha for total, and the ratios of green weight to dry weight were 0.42 for stem. 0.37 for branches, 0.28 for leaves and 0.36 for total. 2. Biomass production (green and dry weight)of Populus alba X P. glandulosa F1 clones can be predicted by diameter measurement only, but biomass production of Populus nigra X P. maximowiczii F1 clones can not be predicted by any of investigated characteristics. 3. Dry weight distribution of pepulus alba X P. glandulosa Fl clones were 73$\%$ for stem, 10$\%$ for branches and 17$\%$ for leaves, and dry weight distribution of P. Populus nigra X P. maximowiczii F1 clones were 54$\%$ for stem, 20$\%$ for branches and 26$\%$ for leaves.
