  • Data center has a lot of management efforts for the facility, energy, and efficient usage monitoring. Data center power management is important to make the data center have reliable service and cost-effective business. In this paper, IoT based energy measurements monitoring which gives support to energy consumption analysis including indoor, outdoor temperature condition. This converged information for energy analysis gives various aspects of energy consumption effects. With IoT big data, energy machine learning system can give the relation of energy components and measurements, it is the key information of the quick energy analysis in the just one month data trend for the prediction and estimation.

Capacity Development of Existing Frame by Aramid Sheet and Energy Dissipation Device (아라미드 시트와 에너지 소산 장치에 의한 기존 골조의 능력 향상)

  • In this paper, the strengthening method was proposed for improving the seismic performance of the vulnerable structural frames. To improve the brittle characteristics of columns, aramid fiber sheet was used for the lateral confinement of columns. And to introduce the energy dissipation capacity, a steel damper with S-shaped struts was installed. By making the unreinforced and reinforced specimens with full size specimens were evaluated for lateral load resistance capacity. It was confirmed the strengthening effects by the evaluation of failure shape, strength, stiffness degradation, and energy dissipation capacity. Also from the FE analysis using ABAQUS, the hysteretic behavior of the specimens were predicted and evaluated.

  • This research develops a technique which uses energy dissipation ratio in order to monitor the structural health on real time basis. For real-time monitoring, we employ the NExT and the ERA which enable us to obtain real-time data. Energy dissipation ratio is calculated from those data only with the damping and natural frequency of the structure, and from the calculated values we develop an algorithm (Energy dissipation method) which decides the damage degree of structure. The Energy dissipation method developed in this research is proved to be valid by comparison with other methods like the eigenparameter method and the MAC. Especially this method enables us to save measuring time and data which are the most important in real-time monitoring, and its use of the ambient vibration also makes it easy to monitor the whole structure and its damage points.

Static Cyclic Loading Test of the Seismic and Energy Simultaneous Retrofit Panel for Existing Unreinforced Masonry Buildings (기존 비보강 조적조 건축물의 내진 및 에너지 동시보강패널 정적반복가력실험)

  • A textile and capillary tube composite panel(TCP) was developed to simultaneously retrofit the seismic performance and the energy efficiency (e.g. heating or insulation performance) of existing unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings. TCP is a light-weight mortar panel in which carbon textile reinforcements and capillary tubes are embedded. Textile reinforcements plays a role of seismic retrofit and capillary tubes that hot water circulates contribute to the energy retrofit. In this paper, the static cyclic loading tests were performed on the masonry walls with/without TCP to understand the seismic retrofit effect of TCP retrofit and the results were summarized. The results of the test showed that the TCP contributed to increase the capacity of the Shear strength and ductility of the URM walls. In addition, the deformation of the wall after cracking was substantially controlled by the carbon textile.

Stress-strain Model of Laterally Confined High-strength Concrete with the Compressive Fracture Energy (압축파괴에너지를 도입한 횡구속 고강도 콘크리트의 응력-변형률 모델)

  • In this paper, a stress-strain model for high-strength confined concrete is proposed using compressive fracture energy. In the compression test performed by author in Reference [6], an acrylic bar with strain gauges was embedded in the center of the specimen to measure the local strain distribution. It was found from the test that the local strain measurement by this acrylic rod is very effective. The local fracture zone length was defined based on the local strain distribution measured by the acrylic rod. Specifically, it was defined as the length where the local strain increases more than twice of the strain corresponding to maximum stress. In addition, the stress-strain relationship of confined concrete with compressive fracture energy is proposed on the assumption that the amount of energy absorbed by the compressive members subjected to the given lateral confining pressure is constant regardless of the aspect ratio and size. The proposed model predicts even results from other researchers accurately.

  • Recently, it is certain that the increase of heating and cooling energy consumption by radical change in climate condition has caused serious problems related to environmental and energy concerns associated with increase of fossil fuel usage and carbon dioxide production as well as global warming. So, various actions to reduce greenhouse gas exhaustion and energy consumption have been prepared by world developed countries. Our government has also been trying to seek energy control methods for houses and buildings by proclaiming political polices on low-carbon green growth and construction and performance standards for environment-friendly housing. The energy consumption by buildings approximately reaches 25% of total korea energy consumption, and the increasing rate of energy consumption by buildings is stiffer than the rate by the other industries. The greatest part in the buildings of the energy consumption is building facade. While lots of research projects for reducing energy consumption of the facade have been conducted, but a few research projects on concrete comprising more than 70% of outsider of buildings has been tried. This research presents here a study to improve the insulation property of structural concrete formed by micro form admixture (MFA) with experimentally reviewing the physical, mechanical and thermal characteristics of the concrete. As the results of this experiment, in the case of concrete mixed with MFA, slump loss has been improved. As the mixing ratio of MFA increases, the compressive strength is decreased and thermal conductivity is increased. Also it was found that water-cement ratio increases, the compressive strength is decreased and thermal conductivity is increased. but, there was not big influence by the change of fine aggregate ratio.

  • 경제성장과 더불어 에너지에 대한 수요와 1인당 에너지 소비량은 증가 추세를 나타내고 있다. 특히 가스는 이용의 편리성, 저공해성, 열효율성 등으로 인해 1970년경 도입된 이래로 1997년도의 소비량을 보면 프로판가스(LPG)는 116.6배, 부탄가스는 326.9배, 도시가스(LNG)는 약 5.262배가 증가하였으며, 총에너지 소비중 가스가 차지하는 비중 역시 높아지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 가스 소비량의 급격한 증가와 함께 가스소비 행태의 변화, 가스 사용처의 다양화 등은 빈번한 가스사고의 발생을 초래하고 있으며, 가스안전 진단기구의 설치 및 가스안전 관리대책의 시행, 관련 규제법규의 제정시행 및 교육홍보 제도의 활발한 시행에도 불구하고 그치지 않고 있고, 사고 발생시는 그 특수성으로 인해 대형화하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리 나라의 가스소비 증가추세와 함께 안전관리제도 및 전담기구의 안전관련 업무내용을 검토해 보고, 또 가스사고의 원인별, 사용처별 사고실태 및 피해현황을 파악하고, 특히 프로판가스(LPG)의 시설별 사고실태 및 문제점을 사례별로 분석하였다. 한편으로는 일본의 가스안전 관리체계와 가스사고 실태를 파악해 보고 새로운 가스 안전대책과 개선동향을 파악하였으며, 우리나라 가스안전 관리대책의 개선과 안전성 향상방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
