I researched the acceptance attitude to the multiculturalism of Korean people and the relationship between language and society through two Korean films, and . And I researched the language form in the multicultural families in the way conducting the survey targeting international marriage immigrant women. The content and conclusion in shortly are as in the following. (1) The acceptance attitude to the multiculturalism of Korean people is somewhat positive in such a case having no interests among themselves. (2) It depends upon the society and the culture for the foreigners to come into contact and learn the language easily. It means well-adapted to the certain society for the foreign workers to use status-language such as slang and jargon in the society. And this is the good example to show us the relationship between the language and certain society. (3) The language form of the multicultural families in Korea is mainly Korean, but two languages are used in order to communicate well with monolingual. This is called 'bilingualism', and according to the result of my research I think it is 'listening comprehension type bilingualism'. From this time forward it is urgently needed to develop the contents in relation to multiculturalism and the 'bilingualism' education program for multicultural families instead of the education of Korean being limited to communication itself in order to improve adaptiveness to multiculturalism in Korean society.

This research examines mutual culture education in accordance with Germany's immigrant social integration policy by analyzing the National European School in Berlin. In this regard, the curricula of Joan-Miró elementary school and Finow elementary school are analyzed. Germany maintains a multicultural policy which enables immigrants to maintain their native language and identity and simultaneously integrate them into the German society. In short, maintenance of immigrants' mother tongue and immigrant students' acquisition of the German language is the core of Germany's social integration policy. The National European School in Berlin is a public school established for the sake of an educational environment in which students can not only build up language capacity, but also create a culturally mutual environment for multicultural students. The school's educational objective is mutual culture education which can integrate and maintain the cultural identity and language of multicultural students. Joan-Miró elementary school encourages mutual cultural ability and bilingual ability while preparing students for the future intelligent society, leading their independent life and self-initiated learning. Finow elementary school encourages mutual culture ability, language capacity and directional capability apart from the basic capacities that can reinforce students to become citizens in demand of the future intellectual society. Korean foreign language education needs to be practically diversified as in the case of the Germany's National European school. Also, improvement of educational environment such as students' bilingual ability, students' ability development regarding their individual characteristics, and the capability of mutual culture understanding are issues that should be urgently treated.

Our society is moving from a monocultural society of a homogeneous nation to a multi-cultural society as a lot of foreigners are flowing into the country with the advent of globalization and with an effort to secure labor force for economic growth. So, multi-cultural families composed of members using different languages spring up everywhere, but the children in these multi-cultural families have difficulties in acquiring Korean language and are socially maladjusted because of the bilingual environment. The goal of this study is to help enhance the language capabilities and socialities of the children in the multi-cultural families through fine arts using artistic methods. The study method was to analyze the high-quality effects of the fine arts with the theoretical research materials and theses showing the real conditions of the multi-cultural families. And I proposed some ways to improve the linguistic abilities and socialities of the children in the multi-cultural families with the utilization of fine arts. As a result, Firstly, An active use of the bilingual instructors and artistic multimedia is educationally necessary to overcome language restrictions. Secondly, Various ways to utilize fine arts are necessary to improve learning abilities of other subjects. Thirdly, Artistic plays and experiential activities need to be largely applied to education to enhance the abilities of emotional control and socialities. Finally, Integrated culture and art education is essential not only for creativities and socialities but also for personalities for community life.

본 논문에서는 한국사회에서 미래 100년 동안 사회 경제 분야의 가장 중요한 핵심 문제로 대두되어질 다문화가정과 관련하여 IT와 융합된 전자책 시스템을 기반으로 자녀교육에 대한 해결책을 제시하기 위하여 7개국의 유명한 전래동화책을 수집, 분석하고 번역하여 다국어 전자책으로 제작하고 서적, CD, 웹사이트, 스마트폰을 이용하여 세계 각국의 다문화가정 교육모델로 제시하고 서비스한다. 구현되어진 다국어 전자책 모델 시스템은 국내 다문화가정 어린이의 이중 언어 교육을 통하여 부모와 연계된 다문화 시대의 문화적 언어적 문제를 해결하며 다문화 어린이들의 글로벌 마인드 함양 및 다문화를 기반으로 한 사회적 통합을 추진하며 세계 최고수준의 유비쿼터스 인터넷 인프라 기반 서비스를 통하여 전자책 서비스의 글로벌 표준을 제시한다. 다국어 전자책 모델 시스템은 국가지원과제 신청을 통하여 지역사회를 통한 복지 분야 행정시스템을 기반으로 무료 보급하며 2011년 독일에서 개최되는 국제도서전에 출품하여 글로벌 보급 활성화와 교육성과에 대한 발표를 추진한다.

This study aims to investigate language society cultural aspects in a community, examining and comparing linguistic errors of English signboards (ES) at home and abroad. The data comprised the ES in 5 cities, Korea and in Paris, France. The findings showed that the errors of the ES in Korea reached to 39.2%, whereas those in Paris contained 24.7%. In Korea, ES and errors were the most in Myeong-dong area. In Paris, the most ES were in the area of Eiffel Tower, but the most linguistic errors appeared at the 3, 4 districts of Marais. Those errors belonged to most in the business of drink, food, and clothes in turn in Korea, while this was the case in the field of clothes, food, and culture in Paris. The frequent errors were classified into semantic, morphologic, and syntactic aspects in turn. The regulations on signboards of foreign languages existed but were not abided by in the both countries. Thus, more practical and reasonable devices and policies are required to establish a more harmonious atmosphere of the ES.

한국 사회는 빠르게 다문화 사회로 진입되고 있어 인구 구성과 집단이 다양해 질것으로 전망하고 있다. 다양한 형태의 가족 중 중도입국 청소년들의 비율이 점점 증가하고 있다. 대부분의 중도입국 청소년들은 준비가 전혀 이루어진 않은 상태에서 우리나라에 입국하는 실정이므로 언어장벽에서 진로장벽에 이르기 까지 매우 취약한 여건과 불안정한 환경에 처해 있는 것이다. 이를 해결하는 방안으로 국가나 지방자치단체는 물론 각급 교육기관에서 다양한 프로그램으로 서비스가 지원되고 있으나 사업 간의 중복성과 일부 비효율적인 전달체계와 운영, 예산과 인력 낭비로 인하여 효과성을 낮추는 경향이 있다. 본 논문에서는 중도입국 청소년들의 발달주기, 학령주기, 한국어 구사 능력에 따라 개인의 능력에 따른 맞춤형 언어교육으로 올바르게 성장하도록 도움을 주는 방안을 제시한다. 제시한 내용은 이중언어 교육방법과 발도르프 교육 프로그램을 준용한 교수-학습 방안이다.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the nature of language variation by exploring the ways of the progress of the language variation that produces all English-lects, i.e., the World Englishes. The study of language variation in linguistics is a hybrid enterprise, so the study of World Englishes has led to the recognition of a highly diverse set of all English-lects, encompassing regional dialects, sociolects, ethnolects and (post-)colonial dialects of World Englishes. In this paper, we propose a hybrid language variation model with three interacting factors of social distancing, on/off-contact, and linguistic diversity to examine the characteristics of language variation. In the context of World Englishes, the social distance is typically low in terms of their local location (country/speech) for local purposes. The social distance also varies based on online/offline communication modes and other social factors like gender, age and ethnic groups, resulting in all English-lects. To clarify the nature of World Englishes, the core Englishes, BrE, AmE and CanE are discussed here.

본 연구는 서로 다른 문화간에 e-Learning과 같은 학습 시스템을 제공할 때, 학습 제공자의 문화적 차이에 의한 비언어적 행동이 학습자에게 미치는 영향에 대해 다루고 있다. 지금까지 사회언어학적인 관점에서 서로 다른 문화간의 언어행동에 관한 연구는 있었지만 비디오 학습이나 웹과 같이 원거리에서 이루어지는 학습 지원 시스템에서의 언어행동에 관한 연구는 없었다. 본 연구에서는 행동언어학적인 관점에서 이루어진 연구를 바탕으로, 한국인과 일본인을 대상으로 하여 실제 강의가 이루어지는 동안 언어행동의 문화적 차이가 미치는 영향과 그 결과를 검증했다.

본 연구는 거시적 빅데이터 인문학과 미시적 언어 텍스트 검색 시스템을 구축하고, 이를 통해서 언어를 통한 문화의 역동적 변화를 시간적 순서에 따라 살펴보고자 한다. 연구의 최종적인 목표는 문화도 생물체처럼 변화하는 존재라 여기고 그 구성요소들을 연구한다는 뜻인 '문화체학(文化體學; Culturomics)'과 같은 '인문학 + 정보과학 + 사회과학' 등등의 다학문간의 융합적 연구에 있다. 이 시스템을 통해서 인류 역사의 기록인 텍스트 빅데이터를 통한 인문학적 성찰을 시각화하고 있다. 이러한 구글의 업적은 인문학과 정보기술의 융합을 통해서 인문학 자체의 지평을 넓히고, 사회과학을 변형시키고, 산업과 상아탑 사이의 관계를 재조정하는데 있다.

제품의 “감성이미지”란 제품의 기능과 함께 제품의 전달하는 감각적 요소 그리고 사용자가 제품을 통해 표현하고자 하는 개념적 표상을 통합하는 이미지이다. 감성이미지의 국제 비교 연구는 사용자가 특정 제품에 대해 가지고 있는 이미지를 구가나 문화의 맥락 속에서 해석하고, 이들 이미지를 상호 비교 평가하고자 한다. 생활문하 속에서 사용자들이 제품에 대해 가지는 감성이미지를 계량적으로 규명하고 비교 평가하며, 이 정보를 기초로 각국의 문화와 정서에 적합한 제품 디자인의 모형을 제시하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구활동으로 다음과 같은 방법이 제시되었다. 먼저, 각 문화 집단을 특징 지울 수 있는 표상개념으로 “언어 이미지” 스케일을 구성하였다. 이 언어 이미지에 대응하는 디자인 요소로 색채를 활용하여, 언어 개념과 색채 요소에 상응하는 자동차 제품의 감성 이미지가 각 문화 집단에 따라 상이하게 나타날 수 있는지를 비교하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 각 문화 집단들이 특정 제품에 대해 적용하는 감성 이미지는 언어와 색체 요소로 구체화 될 뿐 아니라, 이들 집단이 형성한 사회적 표상(social representation)의 개념으로 비교될 수 있는 것을 보이고자 하였다.
