Small Group Processes in Paired Think-Aloud Problem Solving (해결자.청취자 문제해결 활동에서의 소집단 과정)

  • This study investigated small group processes in paired think-aloud problem solving. Two high school chemistry classes were assigned to St-SL group (using Strategy-Solve Listener) and SL group (Solver Listener), and their small-group behaviors were audio/video taped. Verbal behaviors of solver and listener in respect to 4 problem-solving stages and performance levels at each stage were analyzed. At the understanding stage, listeners in the St-SL group exhibited more behaviors of agreement to solver's understanding processes about given and goal of problem. As regards recalling a related law at the planning stage, solvers in the St-SL group exhibited more behaviors of modification based on listener's questions or pointing out. These verbal interactions seemed to have a positive effect on students' deriving the physical quantity with the proper laws. Few in both SL and St-SL groups exhibited the behaviors regarding setting up subgoals. No verbal behavior was observed in the SL group at the reviewing stage, and solvers in the St-SL group tended to ask for listener's agreement. However, only few performed the strategy explaining the meaning of answer at the molecular level correctly through the interactions. The St-SL group perceived that the understanding stage was the most helpful and that the planning or reviewing stages were difficult to apply.

Implementation of a Class Analysis Tool Based On Linguistic Interaction Analysis Method (언어 상호 작용을 기반으로 한 수업 분석 도구의 구현)

  • A class is a complex and interactive process between a teacher and students. This paper describes a software design and implementation of the tool easily to analyze and quantize teaching ability. Our proposed software is implemented based on Flanders linguistic method. The software can easily represent the linguistic analysis results by abstracted graphic drawings. We carry out the performance test of our implemented software targeting incumbent teachers. In the experimental, we could demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of our implemented software.

Effect of Cooperative Learning on Conceptual Change of Atmospheric and Water Cycle (대기와 물의 순환 개념변화에 대한 협동학습의 효과)

  • This study investigated the effect of cooperative learning on the middle school students’ conceptual change of atmospheric and water cycle and also examined the verbal interaction patterns in a cooperative group. The study also analyzed the relationship between the verbal interaction and students’ conceptual change in the cooperative learning situation. Two classes from a middle school were selected as an experimental group (cooperative learning group, n = 37) and a control group (traditional learning group, n = 37), respectively. The experimental group was taught by STAD cooperative learning model and received collaborative skill training. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: first, there were no significant differences in conceptual change between the two groups. As for the middle-achieving students on the pretest, however, the score of the cooperative learning group was significantly higher than that of the traditional learning group. Secondly, verbal interaction in the cooperative learning situation mainly happened among high- and middle achieving students. In addition, the students who were successful in undergoing conceptual change had more frequent verbal interactions than the students who were not. The study suggests that it is more important to interact between a teacher and students than to interact between the students and students in order to correct students’ misconception.

An Exploration of Interaction Factors and Analysis on Interaction-Level of Synchronous Online Education in University (대학 실시간 온라인 교육에서의 상호작용 요소 탐색과 수준 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore what are the interactive factors of synchronous online education in university and identify the level of interaction. This study used mixed research method. As a result of the interaction level, it was recognized that face-to-face education could be more interactive than synchronous online education. Synchronous online education could have better interactive between instructor and learner, and among learners than asynchronous online education. Factors which influencing the interaction were as follows: small group activities and scaffolding, diversification of communication channels and integration of learner's question in learning content. Detrimental elements were distance felt between instructor and learners, low intimacy among learners, content-focused lecture, restrictions on non-verbal communication, unstable systems and misusing microphones. The necessary factors to promote interaction are planning interactive class activities, etc. Based on the results, it was to suggest what kinds of efforts are needed to make interaction more effective in terms of teaching and learning method & activity, tool & system, and environment.

The Dif erence in language Development according to Childcare Type and Child Age (부모양육과 조부모 양육에서 연령에 따른 언어발달의 차이)

  • The study aimed to identify the differences in language development according to childcare type and child age. Specifically, the study aimed to confirm the difference in the language development between children whose language interactions with their parents are made normally and children whose language interactions with their parents are blocked. With this aim, the study conducted a language development test aimed at a total of 248 children consisting of 146 children raised by their parents and 102 children raised by their grandparents from among children at the age of 3 and of 4. The results obtained from the study include the following. First, the receptive language of children raised by their parents was found to be higher than that of children raised by their grandparents. Second, the expressive language of children raised by their parents was discovered to be higher than the expressive language of children raised by their grandparents. Third, the language development of children raised by their parents was shown to be higher than that of children raised by their grandparents.

  • 본 논문에서는 텍스트에 나타난 감정상태를 인지하는 모델을 제안하고, 이러한 모델을 활용하여 현재문장에서 나타난 감정 및 이후에 나타나게 될 감정상태들을 예측하는 시스템에 대하여 다룬다. 사용자의 감정을 인지하고 이에 대한 자연스러운 메시지, 행동 등을 통해 인간과 상호작용 할 수 있는 컴퓨터시스템을 구현하기 위해서는 현재의 감정상태뿐만 아니라 사용자 개개인의 정보 및 시스템과 상호작용하고 있는 상황의 정보 등을 통해 이후에 사용자가 느낄 수 있는 감정을 예측할 수 있는 감정모델이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 파악된 이전의 감정상태 및 실제 감정과 표현된 감정간의 관계, 그리고 감정에 영향을 미친 주변대상의 특징 및 감정경험자의 목표와 행동이 반영된 상태-전이형태의 감정모델인 감정망(Emotion Network)을 제안한다. 감정망은 각 감정을 나타내는 상태(state)와 연결된 상태들 간의 전이(transition), 그리고 전이가 발생하기 위한 조건(condition)으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 텍스트 형태의 상담예시에 감정망을 활용하여 문헌의 감정어휘에 의해 직접적으로 표출되지 않는 감정을 예측할 수 있음을 보인다.

Students' Perception of Teaching Activities and Verbal Interaction in Science Classes at the Gifted Science High School (과학영재학교 교수활동에 관한 학생인식 및 과학수업에서 상호작용 유형)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze gifted students' perception of the teaching activities at the gifted science high school (Busan Science Academy), in Busan, Korea, and to investigate the science experiment class practice. In this study, a questionnaire about the curriculum courses, teaching strategies, and evaluation method of the school was administered to 139 gifted students. The verbal interactions during the science experiment class were audio and videotaped, transcribed, and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows: First, according to the gifted students' perception, the credits of specialized courses and advanced elective courses need to be increased and the credits of general courses need to be reduced. Second, teachers at this school mainly use teaching strategies such as lecture, group activities, and discussion; on the other hand, the students prefer diverse teaching strategies such as discussion, lecture, experiment, inquiring activities, and problem solving. Third, students prefer a writing test assessment rather than a written report assessment or portfolio assessment. Fourth, the patterns of verbal interaction were different depending on the level of the teachers' questions and interactions between the students in the experiment class facilitated students' inquiry.

A Case Study of Social Context-Based Musical Play Program for Improving Communication Skills of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder (자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 의사소통기술 향상을 위한 사회적 상황 기반 음악극 적용 사례)

  • The purpose of this case study was to construct a social context-based musical play program for children with high-functioning Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) and to examine its applicability in improving the social skills of the children. The participants were a group of three children with high-functioning ASD with an average age of 9 years. The children participated as a group in 40-minute sessions that were implemented twice a week for 8 weeks. The children's social communication behaviors were observed during the sessions and analyzed in terms of sharing and exchanging their ideas and voluntarily interacting with peers and an adult (i.e., the researcher). The Social Skills Rating System (SSRS) was completed by the teachers of participants before and after the intervention. For all three participants, the occurrence of behaviors to exchange their ideas with peers and voluntarily interacting with an adult increased following the intervention. However, there were individual differences between the participants in terms of changes in each target behavior depending on their level of language and social skill development. These results suggest that social context-based musical play program may produce positive changes in voluntary communication with peers and play a significant role in expanding the scope of interventions that target the social communication of children with ASD.

  • 본 논문에서는 생물학 관련 문서에서 단백질 간의 상호작용을 추출하는 방법에 대한 전반적인 기술 동향을 소개하고, 현재 구현된 상호작용 정보 자동추출 시스템의 연구 결과에 대해 기술한다. 일반적으로 이미 알려진 단백질들의 관계를 추출함에 있어서는 단백질의 이름에 대한 특성 구분과 표현의 의미적 해석등에 NLP 기법을 사용하여, 사용자 정의에 따른 룰을 생성하는 방법과 데이터 마이닝 기법을 적용하여, 단백질간의 관계를 자동적으로 추출하는 방법, 또한 위의 이 두가지 방법을 병행하는 방법이 현재 연구되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 자연언어처리 기법과 머신러닝 기법(SVM)을 이용하여, 단백질간의 상호작용에 관한 일반 생물 정보 문헌에서 추출하고, 그 성능을 테스트 해 보겠다.

  • 탑재소프트웨어는 위성의 자세, 전력, 열 제어를 담당하는 소프트웨어로서 위성의 탑재컴퓨터 상에서 실행된다. 탑재소프트웨어는 추력기, 배터리, 온도조절장치와 같은 위성의 하드웨어 장치를 자치적으로 관리한다. 지상에서 위성을 운영할 수 있도록 탑재소프트웨어는 지상으로부터 명령을 받아서 처리하고, 위성의 텔레메트리 데이터를 지상으로 전송한다. 위성의 탑재소프트웨어를 프로그래밍하기 위하여 C 언어와 ADA 언어가 주로 사용된다. 이 논문에서는 소프트웨어 디자인과 하위레벨 프로그래밍 관점에서 C 언어와 ADA 언어를 비교 분석한다. 프로그래밍언어는 소프트웨어 디자인과 불가분의 관계에 있다. 이 논문은 프로그래밍언어와 함께 다목적실용위성과 통신해양기상위성의 소프트웨어 디자인을 소개한다. 다목적실용위성의 탑재소프트웨어는 절차 지향언어인 C로 작성되었으며, 함수 호출을 기반으로 설계되었다. 통신해양기상위성의 경우, 객체지향언어인 ADA로 작성되었으며, HOOD(Hierarchical Object-Oriented Design) 기법에 따라 모델링되었다. 탑재소프트웨어 프로그래밍언어는 위성의 탑재 하드웨어와 직접적으로 상호작용하도록 요구된다. 이 논문은 C와 ADA 언어가 메모리주소 및 로우 스토리지를 다루는 방법을 보여준다.
