Policy-based performance comparison study of Real-time Simultaneous Translation (실시간 동시통번역의 정책기반 성능 비교 연구)

  • Simultaneous translation is online decoding to translates with only subsentence. The goal of simultaneous translation research is to improve translation performance against delay. For this reason, most studies find trade-off performance between delays. We studied the experiments of the fixed policy-based simultaneous translation in Korean. Our experiments suggest that Korean tokenization causes many fragments, resulting in delay compared to other languages. We suggest follow-up studies such as n-gram tokenization to solve the problems.

  • Neural machine translation using deep neural network has emerged as a mainstream research, and an abundance of investment and studies on model structure and parallel language pair have been actively undertaken for the best performance. However, most recent neural machine translation studies pass along decoding strategy to future work, and have insufficient a variety of experiments and specific analysis on it for generating language to maximize quality in the decoding process. In machine translation, decoding strategies optimize navigation paths in the process of generating translation sentences and performance improvement is possible without model modifications or data expansion. This paper compares and analyzes the significant effects of the decoding strategy from classical greedy decoding to the latest Dynamic Beam Allocation (DBA) in neural machine translation using a sequence to sequence model.

A Named Entity Recognition Model in Criminal Investigation Domain using Pretrained Language Model (사전학습 언어모델을 활용한 범죄수사 도메인 개체명 인식)

  • This study is to develop a named entity recognition model specialized in criminal investigation domains using deep learning techniques. Through this study, we propose a system that can contribute to analysis of crime for prevention and investigation using data analysis techniques in the future by automatically extracting and categorizing crime-related information from text-based data such as criminal judgments and investigation documents. For this study, the criminal investigation domain text was collected and the required entity name was newly defined from the perspective of criminal analysis. In addition, the proposed model applying KoELECTRA, a pre-trained language model that has recently shown high performance in natural language processing, shows performance of micro average(referred to as micro avg) F1-score 98% and macro average(referred to as macro avg) F1-score 95% in 9 main categories of crime domain NER experiment data, and micro avg F1-score 98% and macro avg F1-score 62% in 56 sub categories. The proposed model is analyzed from the perspective of future improvement and utilization.

Deep Learning-based Korean Dialect Machine Translation Research Considering Linguistics Features and Service (언어적 특성과 서비스를 고려한 딥러닝 기반 한국어 방언 기계번역 연구)

  • Based on the importance of dialect research, preservation, and communication, this paper conducted a study on machine translation of Korean dialects for dialect users who may be marginalized. For the dialect data used, AIHUB dialect data distributed based on the highest administrative district was used. We propose a many-to-one dialect machine translation that promotes the efficiency of model distribution and modeling research to improve the performance of the dialect machine translation by applying Copy mechanism. This paper evaluates the performance of the one-to-one model and the many-to-one model as a BLEU score, and analyzes the performance of the many-to-one model in the Korean dialect from a linguistic perspective. The performance improvement of the one-to-one machine translation by applying the methodology proposed in this paper and the significant high performance of the many-to-one machine translation were derived.

Study of Porspective Speech and Language Pathologist Competence by Completion of Clinical practicums (언어재활실습 여부에 따른 예비언어재활사의 역량조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the competence of porspective speech and language pathologist according to Clinical practicums and to use it as basic data in guiding porspective speech and language pathologist. The porspective speech and language pathologist competence consisted of tasks, knowledge, skills, and language areas, and a total of 36 questionnaires were organized by dividing the language areas into sub-areas of smantics, morphology and pragmatics. A total of 105 questionnaires were collected from students with experience in Clinical practicums. A t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis were conducted to analyze the competence of porspective speech and language pathologist according to whether or not they practiced. The results of this study are as follows. First, there were significant differences between groups in all areas of knowledge, tasks, skills, and language in the competence area. Second, there was a very strong correlation between competence and language sub-areas. Third, it was found that it had a significant explanatory power in the sub-area of competence and language areas, and had a positive effect on the competence of porspective speech and language pathologist. This study is meaningful in that it should be based on theoretical knowledge of language elements to enhance the competence of porspective speech and language pathologist, and it can be confirmed that theory affects the competence of porspective speech and language pathologist. It is expected to be meaningfully used as a basis for efficient teaching methods based on the improvement of the capabilities of porspective speech and language pathologist, training training professional language rehabilitators, and theory, and theory.

  • 인터넷의 진화에 따라 우리사회는 매우 빠르게 변화하고 있으며, 이러한 변화를 선도한 인터넷은 앞으로도 개인 맞춤형, 사물 지능화 등으로 진화를 거듭하여 우리 삶에 더욱 큰 변화를 가져올 것이다. 경제적 측면에서도 인터넷을 기반으로 한 다양한 형태의 융합이 산업발전의 새로운 패러다임으로 대두되어 전력, 교통 등 산업간 융합이 가속화되고, 첨단 융합보안기술로 고(高)부가가치 신규 시장의 창출이 가능해질 전망이다. 그러나 인터넷, IT의 발전과 더불어 사이버 공격의 특성이 과거 호기심이나 자기 과시적 행태에서 조직적이고 금전적인 이익을 노리는 방향으로 확산되고 있으며, 인터넷의 익명성과 비대면성으로 인해 불건전 정보의 유통, 저작권 침해, 명예 훼손, 언어폭력 등 개인과 사회의 피해가 점증하고 있는 상황이다. 본고에서는 이러한 환경변화에 맞추어 융합을 통한 가치 창조적 정책 및 선진 인터넷 기반마련, 깨끗하고 안전한 인터넷 이용환경 조성, 글로벌 협력체계 강화 등의 전략 목표 달성을 통해 신뢰할 수 있는 인터넷 및 방송통신융합의 가치창조와 진흥이라는 미션을 완수하기 위한 한국인터넷진흥원의 주요 중점 추진과제를 정리하였다.

A Case Analysis of Study on Verbal Interaction during the Math Class of a Special Classroom (특수학급 수학 수업에서 나타난 언어적 상호작용 사례 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the cases of verbal interactions occurring during the mathematics lessons taught in middle school special classes in order to examine the elements and types of verbal interactions that occur between the teachers and students. Data were collected and analyzed for the sessions on geometric units that formed part of the mathematics lessons routinely implemented in the special classes. The analysis showed that the teachers initiated 237 (84.1%) of the 291 instances of verbal linguistic interactions. A total of 240 teachers' questions were analyzed, and questions in the area of knowledge occurred the most frequently, at 160 times (66.7%). A total of 617 student responses were analyzed, and short answers occurred the most frequently, at 367 times (59.5%). Teacher feedback occurred 581 times in total, and correct/incorrect (simple) feedback occurred the most frequently, at 234 times (40.3%). A total of 237 verbal interactions were observed between the teachers and children, and the I (RF) type (one teacher question, one student response, and one instance of teacher feedback) occurred most frequently, at 83 times (35.0%).

A Study on the Case of Inter-cultural Education in Germany: Focus on the Curriculum of SESB (독일의 상호문화교육 사례에 대한 연구 : 베를린 EU학교의 교육과정을 중심으로)

  • This research examines mutual culture education in accordance with Germany's immigrant social integration policy by analyzing the National European School in Berlin. In this regard, the curricula of Joan-Miró elementary school and Finow elementary school are analyzed. Germany maintains a multicultural policy which enables immigrants to maintain their native language and identity and simultaneously integrate them into the German society. In short, maintenance of immigrants' mother tongue and immigrant students' acquisition of the German language is the core of Germany's social integration policy. The National European School in Berlin is a public school established for the sake of an educational environment in which students can not only build up language capacity, but also create a culturally mutual environment for multicultural students. The school's educational objective is mutual culture education which can integrate and maintain the cultural identity and language of multicultural students. Joan-Miró elementary school encourages mutual cultural ability and bilingual ability while preparing students for the future intelligent society, leading their independent life and self-initiated learning. Finow elementary school encourages mutual culture ability, language capacity and directional capability apart from the basic capacities that can reinforce students to become citizens in demand of the future intellectual society. Korean foreign language education needs to be practically diversified as in the case of the Germany's National European school. Also, improvement of educational environment such as students' bilingual ability, students' ability development regarding their individual characteristics, and the capability of mutual culture understanding are issues that should be urgently treated.

A Study on the Mediating Effect of Commitment to Learning in the Relationship between Instructor Communication and Reselection of the same Instructor - Focused on college students in lifelong education - (교수자 커뮤니케이션과 교수자 재선택 관계에서의 학습몰입의 매개효과 - 성인대학생을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to investigate the mediating effects of commitment to learning on the relationship between instructor communication and reselection of the same instructor among college students in lifelong education. For this purpose, the investigator conducted a survey with college students in lifelong education attending a two or three year college or a university in Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk Province and analyzed a final total of 498 questionnaires with the SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical programs. The findings were as follows: instructors' verbal and non-verbal communication had total significant effects on the path of reselection of the same instructor by college students in lifelong education, but it had no direct significant effects on reselection of the same instructor. Instructors' verbal and non-verbal communication had indirect effects on reselection of the same instructor by college students in lifelong education via commitment to learning. These findings imply that if instructors make use of their verbal and non-verbal communication in lessons for college students in lifelong education according to their characteristics, it will be able to increase their commitment to learning as well as satisfaction with lessons.

  • 논문에서는 인터넷을 이용한 응용분야 중에서 원격으로 네트워크의 트래픽을 모니터링함에 있어서 시간이 흐름에 따라서 메모리의 증가를 요구하지 않는 Robin Database 방식을 이용한 방법에 대한 응용 연구 방법을 기술하였다. 먼저 기본적인 RRDtool을 이용하여 트래픽 모니터링 데이터베이스 구조 설계를 구현한 과정을 기술하였고, 데이터의 모니터링을 위한 모니터링 프로그램으로서 Perl 스크립트 언어를 이용한 작업 과정을 보려다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과를 통하여 구축된 트래픽 모니터링 시스템을 이용하여 실제 트래픽을 모니터링한 결과를 실험 결과에 제시하였다.
