반복적으로 나타나는 고정된 이차원 모래언덕에 의하여 생성되는 난류유동장을 해석하기 위하여 PIV 기법을 적용하였다. PIV 기법의 사정을 위하여 LDV 실험자료와 결과를 비교하였는데 유동박리 및 큰 전단유동 영역에까지 좋은 결과를 보여주었다 레이저 시트로 조사된 이차원 단면의 흐름을 이미징 테크닉으로 해석하는 PIV 방법이 갖는 고유의 단점들을 완전히 해결하지는 못하였으나, 전체적으로 LDV 결과와 매우 잘 일치하고 있었으며 특히 Two-point correlation 이나 Quadrant analysis와 같이 고차항까지를 추적할 수 있었다 특히 기존의 일점계측법으로는 해석이 불가능한 순간유동장의 가시화 및 정량화가 가능하였으며 Time-series로 변환시킨 PIV 데이터의 신뢰성도 확인이 가능하였다. 추후 토사이동과 같은 복잡한 유동해석에도 본 기법을 그대로 활용할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

The numerical simulations of flowfield and pollutant dispersion over two-dimensional hills of various shapes are described. The Reynolds-averaged Wavier-Stokes equations and concentration diffusion equation based on the gradient diffusion theory have been applied to the atmospheric shear flow over the bell-shaped hills which are basic components of the complex terrain. The flow characteristics such as velocity profiles of the geophysical boundary layer, speed-up phenomena, mean pollutant concentration profiles are compared with experimental data to validate the present numerical procedure and it has been found that the present numerical results agree well with experiments and other numerical data. It has been also found that the distributions of ground level concentration are strongly influenced by the source location and height.

The assessment of PIV to measure the mean velocity and turbulence was carried out over a train of fixed two-dimensional dunes. The agreement between the PIV and LDV is good enough even in regions of flow reversals and high shear. Though limited in the wall normal direction field-of-view, PIV provides instantaneous flow fields, which reveal the complex nature of flow over dunes, as well as more sophisticated analyses such as two-point space correlation and quadrant analysis with a reasonable accuracy.

본 논문은 모재 제작을 위한 Modified Chemical Vapor Deposition(MCVD) 장치의 새로운 설계를 제안하였다. MCVD 공정의 기본 장치로는 선반장치와 원료가스공급 장치가 포함되고, 언덕형 광섬유 설계, 공정의 특성 및 MCVD 모재의 굴정율 형태를 측정하는 실험장치를 각기 실현하였다. 연구결과, 중심부 딥(dip)이나 범프(bump) 가 보이지 않는 이상적 언덕형 굴절율 광섬유 모재를 얻었다.

바닥이 언덕과 저면으로 이루어진 연속적인 횡방향 바닥형상을 갖는 개수로 흐름의 부유사 농도분포를 수치모의 하였다. 비선형 ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ 모형을 이용하여 흐름의 지배방정식인 곡선 직교좌표계에 대한 Navier-Stokes 방정식을 해석하였으며, 와점성계수 개념을 이용하여 부유사 수송 방정식을 해석하였다. 기존의 실험결과와 비교하여 모형이 격자형 이차흐름을 비교적 잘 예측하는 것을 확인하였으며, 동일한 흐름에 대하여 부유사 농도 분포를 계산하였다. 부유사량의 계산 결과 언덕 위의 부유사 농도분포가 저면 위의 농도분포보다 크게 나타났다.

Recently, optical phased array(OPA) based laser detection and ranging(LADAR) has gained great interest to replace the traditional mechanical light detection and ranging technique(LiDAR). In OPA-based LADAR, it is well known that phases of laser pulses traveling through each of channels should be the same to obtain a narrow free-space single beam without noise-like ripples in the far field. However, it is difficult to provide such ideal condition due to the fabrication errors. To tackle this problem, any algorithms should be necessary to compensate the initial random phases of each channel in OPA antenna. In this paper, we propose a hill-climbing based phase calibration algorithm and evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm.

활짝 피어나는 신록과 함께 화창한 5월 서울 성동구 둔촌동에 자리잡은 정화계원을 찾았다. 인근에서는 불도저가 주택구획정리를 하고 있었으나 얕으막한 언덕을 넘으니 아늑한 녹음속에 정화계원이 나타난다. 너무나 급변하는 자연에 멈칫한 기자의 발걸음은 환한 미소를 머금고 맞아주는 최정삼씨부부에 자연스럽게 풀려버린다.
