Synopsis of Dragonet Fish, Family Callionymidae (Pisces, Perciformes) form Korea (한국산(韓國産) 돛양태과(科)(농어목(目)) 어류(魚類)의 분류(分類))

  • Fourteen species and four genera of the family Callionymidae from Korea were reviewed and provided a tentative the key to species and genera. The taxonomic position and scientific name of the family Callionymidae were recheked together with states of their distribution. Among them, two species Callionymus kitaharai and C. doryssus previously described by Chyung(1977), were found to be the same species under synonym of Repomucenus huguenini. On the other hand, two species Repomucenus leucopoecilus and Repomucenus sp. were newly added. Seven species, previously reported as the family Callionymidae from Korea, were transferred into another generic name or specific name Draculo mirabilis into Eleucherochir mirabilis, Callionymus joponicus into Callurichthys japonics, Callionymus altivelis into Synchiropus altivelis, Callionymus kitaharai into Repomucenus huguenini, Callionymus richardsoni into Repomucenus curvicornis, Callionymus lunatus into Repomucenus lunatus, Callionymus flagris into Repomucenus oalenciennei. The species of Calliurichthys japonicus, Repomucenus lunatus, Repomucenus curvicornis, Repomucenus huguenini, Repomucenus ualenciennei and Synchiropus altivelis were mainly distributed in the South Sea, while the other species of the family were mainly distributed in the Yellow Sea of Korea.

A Study on the Teaching and Learning of Korean Modality Expressions (한국어의 양태 표현 교육 연구 : 한국어 '-(으)ㄹ 수 있다'와 중국어 '능(能)'의 대조를 중심으로)

  • Modality is the psychological attitude of the speaker, which is comprised by the sentences used in every language. Modality can be broadly categorized as perceptional modality and obligatory modality. This study summarizes the previous related literatures and theoretical branches of Korean linguistic studies. The study also proposes and classifies a modal concept on the Korean language, which is aimed at aiding Chinese people who are studying Korean. It further describes characteristics and expressions of modality in both the Chinese and Korean languages. This study aims to develop an effective teaching-learning program on the basis of the contrastive analysis between Korean language's modality, "-(으)ㄹ 수 있다," and the corresponding Chinese auxiliary verb, "能." Modality is a syntax item that reflects a speaker's subjective manner. There are many grammatical facets in Korean language books and teaching materials that are modal in nature. Further, modalities in Korean language are not only numerous but also have very rich meanings and functions. Based on the contrastive analysis, this study designs an effective teaching plan for Chinese people learning the Korean language. The designed system uses specific conversational occasions as the basis of learning, and it adapts the Korean language's modal system to classroom teaching. The system is expected to be effective during classroom teaching for demonstrating and learning modality in the Korean language.

Taxonomic Review of Flathead Fishes(Platycephalidae, Scorpaeniformes) from Korea (한국산 양태과 어류(농어목)의 분류학적 재검토)

  • The taxonomic review of the family Platycephalidae from Korea was made based on the morphological characteristics of specimens collected in the Korean coasts from December 1987 to April 1998. The family Platycephalidae from Korea was classified into 10 species belonging to 7 genera: Onigocia macrolepis, O. spinosa, Rogadius asper, Suggrundus meerdervoorti, lnegocia japonica, I. guttata, Cociella crocodila, Ratabulus megacephalus, Platycephalus indicus and Platycephalus sp. Of them, Onigocia macrolepis was recorded for the first time in Korea and Platycephalus sp. was demanded to recheck its taxonomic position comparing with other Asian specimens in future. A new key to the genera and species of the family Platycephalidae from Korea was reported, with description of their morphological characteristics and distribution.

The Changes in Fatty Acids and Free Amino Acids of Raw and Salted-dried Flathead by Various Cooking Methods (생양태와 염건양태의 조리과정 중 지방산과 유리아미노산의 변화)

  • The changes in fatty acids and free amino acids of raw and salted-dried flatheads were determined during steaming, boiling and baking process. 1. Raw flathead was composed of 74.9% of moisture, 1.9% of ash, 0.9% of crude lipid, and 21.6% of crude protein. 2. The main fatty acids of raw and salted-dried flathead were palmitic acid (21.5%) and lignoceric acid (52.4%) which covered 73.9% of total fatty acid. The fatty acid contents of raw and salted-dried flathead were higher in the steaming than in the boiling and baking. 3. The main free amino acids of .aw and salted-dried flathead were aspartic acid (12.2%), glutamic acid(14.8%), leuicine (8.4%), Iysine (9.8%) and arginine (6.8%), which covered 52% of total free amino acids. There were significant differences (p<0.05) in the contents of free amino acids between raw and salted-dried flatheads as well as among steaming, boiling and baking processes.

A Research on Effect of Motion Modality on Aspects of Genre and Medium (모션의 양태성이 매체·장르에 미치는 효과 연구)

  • This study is regarding what motion modality has influences on aspects of genre and media. Nowadays, motion modality becomes an element which is actively manipulated in live actions as well as animations. And, it has been generally accepted that a strategy on manipulation of motion depends on matters of genre or medium. As respected, can we say the premise is correct? if it is, can we refine the premise more theoretically, without using the words, 'genre' or 'media' which have not been are not been defined on an academic aspect. I intend to discuss on this issue. I will speculate the issue of manipulation of motion modality on theoretical bases. According to McLuhan's hot/cool media theory and Bolter's oscillation theory, the effect of it turns out to be same as manipulation of sentience ratio of media readers, and the ideal result will be examined by an example analysis. In the analysis, I will explore what effects manipulation of motion has on several examples. Then, by examining what kind of correlation these effects has with media/genre positioning, I ultimately will evaluate the genre/medium-based determinism of motion modality, which is represented by a typical premise like "Animation is most realistic when it has the most animation-like movement." Conclusively I suggest a refined premise like the following. Modality of motion is a strategy depending on issues of genre, with no regard to issues of medium, and the issue of genre is a category which is positioned considering mixture ratio of sentience. With this reason, A strategy of modality of motion depends to sentience a certain sequence needs. So, motion modality becomes a strategy which has to be approached in functionality of genre rather than economic values which spring from technical devices like a motion capture.

A Study of Korean State Adverb ordering Using Clusters (클러스터 분석을 통한 한국어 양태부사 어순에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 영한 기계 번역 시스템의 생성단계에서 자연스러운 어순의 연속된 부사를 생성하기 위하여 클러스터링 기법을 이용하여 부사의 어순을 결정해 보고자 한다. 먼저 국문학자가 분류해 놓은 부사의 자질 정보를 살펴보고 그 자질 정보에 대한 부사의 어순을 살펴본다. 그 중에서 양태부사에 대한 어순 정보가 부사 어순 결정에 중요한 요인이 됨으로 양태부사에 대해서만 어순을 다루기로 한다. 통합 국어정보베이스에 수록된 한국어 구문구조 부착 망뭉치를 사용하여 연속 부사를 추출하고 그 빈도수를 추출하여 부사의 자질 정보를 부여한다. 부여된 부사의 자질 정보를 가지고 부사-부사 유사도를 계산하고 이 유사도에 기반하여 양태부사들을 재분류한다. 그리고, 양태부사의 어순 비율과 클러스터링을 통해서 세분류한 어순의 비율을 제시한다.

  • 화행(Speech-act)이란 어떤 목적을 달성하기 위해 발화를 통해 이루어지는 화자의 행위를 뜻하며, 화행 분석(Speech-act analysis)이란 주어진 발화의 화행을 결정하는 것을 뜻한다. 문장 유형과 양태는 화행의 일종으로, 문장 유형의 경우 화자의 기본적인 발화 의도에 따라 평서문, 명령문, 청유문, 의문문, 감탄문의 다섯 가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있고, 양태는 문장이 표현하는 명제나, 명제가 기술하는 상황에 대해서 화자가 갖는 의견이나 태도를 말한다. 본 논문에서는 종결어미와 보조용언으로부터 비교적 간단하게 추출 가능한 문장 유형과 양태 정보를 활용하여 대화체 발화문의 화행 분석 성능을 높이는 방법을 보인다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 모델은 합성곱 신경망(CNN)을 사용한 기본 모델에 비해 0.52%p 성능 향상을 보였다.

The Characteristics of Sensory Evaluation by various Cooking Methods of Salted-Dried Flathead (II) (염건양태의 조리방법에 따른 관능적 특성(II))

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the best cooking condition for salted-dried flathead by sensory evaluation. Raw flathead and 3 different kinds of salted(2%, 4%, 6%)-dried flathead were cooked by various methods such as steaming, boiling, baking and different cooking times(5, 10, and 15min). The results of this study were as follows: 1. In steamed samples, the meaty flavor was significantly related with brown color, cooled level, and softness at 5% level. 2. In boiled samples, meaty flavor was significantly related with cooked level, moistness, and fishy odor at 5% level. 3. For broiled samples, meaty flavor was significantly related with fishy odor, meaty aroma, and bitter taste at 1% level. 4. The best cooking conditions determined by a quantitative descriptive analysis(QDA) were steaming 6% salted-dried samples for 5min, and boiling or broiling 6% salted-dried samples for 10min. The most favored cooking method was broiling. 5. In comparison of the samples by QDA, 2% salted-dried samples cooked 15 min gave better scores in the order of boiled > overall score > steamed > broiled, 4% samples cooked 5min were boiled > steamed > overall score > broiled, and 6% samples showed similar scores among all conditions. The 6% samples cooked for 5min gave high scores in 7 terms of QDA in steaming, and 6% samples cooked for 10min for boiled and baked.
