Technical Papers : Performance Test of a Two Stage Axial Compressor of a Turboshaft Engine for Helicopters (기술논문 : 헬리콥터용 터보샤프트엔진 2 단 축류압축기 성능시험)

  • 이륙중량 4000kg, 10-12인승급 다목적 헬리콥터에 적용가능한 엔진 개량 개발을 목표로 기존 헬리콥터 엔진을 개량대상으로 선정하고 이러한 다목적 헬기의 요구조건에 부합하기 위해 기존 엔진의 요소부품을 재설계하였다. 첫 단계로 최소변경으로 720 hp에서 840 hp로 출력을 증강시키기 위하여 2단 축류압축기의 기존 입구 유도익을 제거하고 익현의 길이를 증가하여 유량 및 압축비를 증가시킴으로써 출력 증강을 얻도록 재설계를 수행하였다. 이러한 2단 축류압축기의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 두 번째 단 단독시험 및 전체 2단에 대한 성능시험이 수행되었으며 첫 번째 단의 성능은 이 결과로부터 도출되었다. 성능시험결과 전체 2단 압축기는 유량 3.088 kg/s에서 압력비 2.14, 단열효율 88%의 성능을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며 압축기 출구의 압력 및 온도 분포를 레이크를 이용하여 측정하였다.

Bootstrap Calibrated Confidence Bound for Variance Components Model (분산 성분 모형에 대한 붓스트랩 보정 신뢰구간)

  • We consider use of Bootstrap calibration in the problem of setting a confidence interval for a linear combination of variance components. Based on the the modified large sample(MLS) method by Graybill and Wang(1980), Bootstrap Calibration is applied to improve the coverage probability of the MLS confidence bound when the experiment is balanced and coefficients of a linear combination are positive. Performance of the proposed confidence bound in small sample is investigated by simulation studies.

Improvement of Well Efficiency through Well Development in a Pumping Well (충적층 양수정에서 우물개량을 통한 우물효율의 개선)

  • Drilling at unconsolidated layer can make the aquifer disturbed and reduce a productivity of groundwater well. Surge block and air surging were applied to a pumping well located in Jeungsan-ri, Changnyung-gun, to improve a well efficiency by removing clogging and fine-grained slime. Two experimental log-linear equations, $y_1=-0.1769\;ln(x_1)+0.4960$ and $y_2=-84.3358\;ln(x_2)+512.8162$, were proposed in this site, in which $x_1$ and $x_2$ are the number of surging event, $y_1$ is the amount of slime, and $y_2$ is a recovery time of groundwater level after air surging. Well loss exponent (P) decreased after surging, from 3.422 to 1.439, and the groundwater inflow from aquifer happened in all directions around a well with gradually increasing the homogeneity in a local aquifer's hydraulic property. It was revealed that long-term well development should be done in the pumping well which is located in unconsolidated sediments to increase a well productivity.

A Nonparametric Stratified Test Based on the Jonckheere-Terpstra Trend Statistic (Jonckheere-Terpstra 추세 검정통계량에 근거한 비모수적 층화분석법)

  • Clinical trials are often carried out as multi-center studies because the patients enrolled for a trial study are very limited in one particular hospital. In these circumstances, the use of an ordinary Jonckheere (1954) and Terpstra (1952) test for testing trend among several independent treatment groups is invalid. We propose a the stratified Jonckheere-Terpstra test based on van Elteren (1960)'s stratified test of Wilcoxon (1945) statistics and an application of our method is demonstrated through example data. A simulation study compares the efficiency of stratified and unstratified Jonckheere-Terpstra trend tests.

고내압$\cdot$대용량 파워디바이스의 기술동향

  • 요 몇 해 사이에 고내압$\cdot$대용량 파워디바이스에서는 아주 새로운 진전이 일어나고 있다. 파워일렉트로닉스 장치의 소형화$\cdot$고효율화 및 제어의 고속화 등의 요구에 응할 수 있는 차세대의 새로운 소자가 출현하여 그 제품화가 비약적으로 진전되고 있는 것이다. 새로운 파워디바이스의 대표적인 것으로는 다음의 3가지를 들 수 있다. $\cdot$HVIGBT(High Voltage Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor Module)$\cdot$HVIPM(High Voltage Intelligent Power Module)$\cdot$GCT(Gate Commutated Turn-off)사이리스터 이들의 파워디바이스를 종래의 GTO(Gate Turn-off) 사이리스터와 비교해 보면 다음과 같은 특징이 있다.(1)GTO 사이리스터가 필요로 했던 스나버회로가 없어도(Snabber-less)턴오프가 가능하며, di/dt 억제용 아노드리액터의 생략 또는 저감이 가능하기 때문에 반도체 부녀회로의 소형화를 기할 수 있다. (2)게이트파워와 전체손실(소자 및 주변회로를 포함)의 저감으로 에너지 절약을 도모할 수 있다. (3)스위칭주파수를 2$\~$3kHz 정도까지 높일 수 있다. 이런 장점 때문에 다음과 같은 용도에의 적용이 기대되고 있다. (1)신간선, 지하철 등의 전철 응용 (2)액티브필터, SVG(무효전력발생장치), SVC(무효전력보상장치) BTB, 가변속 양수발전 스위치 등의 전력응용 (3) 철강압연이나 제지공장용 등의 대용량공업용 컨버터$\cdot$인버터 응용 HVIGBT와 HVIPM은 전철분야에서 신간선의 추진용 컨버터$\cdot$인버터장치와 보조전원장치, 그리고 지하철의 추진용 인버터 장치나 보조전원장치 등에 채용되고 GCT 사이리스터는 전력용 주파수변환기 등에 실용화되고 있다.

  • Recently, the more demand of reusable energy is globally increasing, the nationwide industry of wind power plants is more thriving. However, the level of native technology for operating wind power plants falls behind advanced countries. Thus, the most of management systems for wind power plants should be imported from the advanced countries. Additionally, advanced countries, which have possessed the controllable skills and consummate operating knowhow over decades, are blockading other countries which want to enter the market of wind power plants, and lead markets. This paper designs a prototype of HMI(Human Machine Interface) system which can effectively control and manage wind power plants.

  • Mixing performance between fuel and oxidizer is a significant parameter of combustion efficiency and stability in an air-turbo ramjet combustor. Two types of petal mixer were experimented to research the mixing performance. Mixing performance and fuel distribution images were obtained for petal mixers. Planar laser-induced fluorescence(PLIF) was used to obtain 2-D fuel distribution. The obtained images were processed in order to make use of the image information to a quantitative level. The results of analyzing the fluorescence images could be useful to find better mixing performance between mixers.

  • In the wide area surveillance system including many CCTVs, application for remote realtime monitoring is designed and implemented. The applications using Xcode provide secure administrator interface from headquarters. Through the efficient and intuitive interface, it delivers real-time context reports and inference results. For the user convenience, it includes push alarm of events, SNS, Media streaming service for real-time monitoring uses Wirecast and Wowza media server. Wowza stream engine provides URL accommodating development specification. Mobile devices can receive real-time stream data. Performance evaluation in the processing is provided.

An Analysis of Groundwater Flow in the Multi-aquifer System (다층-대수층 시스템의 지하수 해석)

  • The multi-aquifer system separated by semipervious leaky beds was analyzed. The finite difference scheme of the Crank-Nicolson method is applied to obtain the solution for this system. The solution of this scheme was compared with the analytical solution for two-layer aquifer systems with one-dimensional steady state. The results showed a good agreement between analytical and numerical solution for two-layer aquifer systems. So, the numerical scheme can be extended to multi-aquifer system. When the pumping is tried for single or multi aquifer, the computation of the groundwater heads was possible for each aquifer in the multi-aquifer with two-dimensional system. So, it might be helpful for the effective groundwater management.

Assessment of Water Management Efficiencies for Irrigation Pumping Stations in the Han River and Nakdong River Basins (한강 및 낙동강 유역의 양수장 지구 물관리효율 평가)

  • The objective of this study is assessing water management efficiency using water withdrawals from rivers and water requirements for paddies. The water management efficiency was defined by the ratio of water requirements and water withdrawals. Water withdrawals were estimated using the operating times and pumping capacity of the pumping stations from 1992 to 1999 in the Han River and Nakdong River basins. Water requirements were estimated by adding the evapotranspiration of the crops and infiltrations in the irrigated area. Evapotranspiration from the paddies was calculated by the FAO modified Penman method with observed daily weather data. The monthly water management efficiency was analyzed for each pumping stations and the district offices of KARICO (Korea Agricultural and Rural Infrastructure Corporation). The efficiencies of 59 pumping stations in the Han River basin varied from 19% to 135%, and the average was 61%. The efficiencies of 146 pumping stations in the Nakdong River basin ranged from 17% to 190%, and the average was 72%. There were no good correlations between the water management efficiency and pump capacity or irrigated area, it showed that the water management efficiency was affected by the traditional water management practices rather than the scale of irrigation district.
