Considering the recent increase in the number of sexual violence survivors, there is an urgent need to develop content for the training of professional workers to support victims. The purposes of this research are: (1) to investigate the status of existing training programs designed to produce workers to support sexual violence victims; (2) to conduct focus group interviews with 19 workers regarding their training needs; (3) to conduct a national-wide survey with 800 workers; and (4) to carry out a delphi study with 20 sexual violence professionals in regard to the topics and methods of training. According to the survey of practice workers, the areas of greatest need include the understanding of client characteristics, multidisciplinary approaches in training, and strengthening of basic training. The delphi study of professionals revealed the need for counseling skills, understanding the psychology of sexual violence victims, and skills to provide emotional support for victims. Based on these findings, this research suggests training content designed to provide support services customized to the types and characteristics of individual survivors.

The purpose of this paper is to study the instructional contents and strategies for school library media specialist education in Korean Library and Information Science. The writer insist several aspects of instructional contents should be emphasized for relevant school library media specialist education. Instructional contents for philosophical and conceptual aspect of school library and media specialist, knowledge and experience for literature for children and young adult, and knowledge and technique for teaching and instruction at field are those. And the writer suggests LIS education for media specialist should be able to let the students stand on the strong professional sprit, help adapt themselves to school practice, and make them a professor of literature.

The purpose of this study was to develop a practical problem-based lesson plan for the "Understanding Myself and My Family" unit and to examine the effects of the lesson plan. Learning objectives and contents were selected, and a practical problem-based lesson plan for five sessions was developed and implemented. With 150 students participating in the study, a pre-test and post-test comprised of a questionnaire were conducted to explore the effectiveness of the lesson plan on the students' sex role characteristics, awareness of gender-role equity in occupational, familial and societal settings and of participation in household chores. Results from the post-test revealed that the students displayed androgynous sex-role characteristics, a heightened awareness of gender-role equity and a higher degree of participation in household chores after the five sessions. Assessment of the class was found to be very positive. Consequently the study showed that the lesson proved to be helpful for the students.

"여성은 수학을 못한다" 또는 "수학적 능력에 있어서 남학생이 여학생보다 우월하다"는 우리 사회의 일반적 통념은 근거가 있는 것인가? 1970년대 이후 구미를 중심으로 외국에서는 교육에서의 성 평등(equity) 문제에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 수학에서의 성별차이(gender difference)에 대한 연구들이 상당히 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 국내의 연구는 한국학술진흥재단의 연구지원을 반아서 수행된 96년부터 98년까지의 3년 연구(권오남, 박경미, 임형, 허라금의 공동연구) 이외에는 거의 전무하다. 이 글에서는 수학적 능력에서의 성별차이라는 논제를 3년 연구의 결과를 중심으로 양적, 질적 연구방법으로 접근하며, 이를 바탕으로 수학교육에서의 양성평등의 과제와 전망을 논의한다.
