방송통신사업자의 스마트미디어 전략에 대한 탐색적 연구: HTML5, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 등의 기술적 배경을 근간으로

  • 다양한 스마트기기 간 및 앱(Application) 간 연동을 통한 스마트미디어 생태계 환경에서 애플(Apple), 구글(Google), 마이크로소프트(Microsoft) 등 SW(Software) 기반 OS(Operating System) 플랫폼들은 개별 체제 강화를 더욱 견고히 하고 있다. 생태계 내 타(他) 구성원들은 이들에 의한 제약이 더욱 심해지자, 웹 문서의 표준화(HTML5)나 클라우드 컴퓨팅(Cloud computing) 같은 개방화된 기술들을 환영한다. 실제로 최근 웹 애플리케이션(Web application) 개발과 개발자들의 OS 플랫폼 이탈은 이러한 변화의 단면을 보여주기 시작했다. 본 고는 SW 중심에서 서비스 중심으로 이동 중인 플랫폼 경쟁 환경에서 네트워크를 보유 중인 방송통신사업자들의 새로운 스마트미디어 전략 방향을 제시하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 두 가지 기술적 배경인 HTML5와 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술들을 살펴본 후, 그 동안 SW 중심 플랫폼 경쟁 환경에서 주도권을 빼앗겼다고 깨달은 방송통신사업자가 취해야 할, 두 가지 새로운 기술적 환경에서의 스마트미디어 전략을 제시하였다. 분석 결과, HTML5가 모바일 분야의 핵심 기술이 될 전망이지만, 단기적으로는 여전히 미성숙 문제가 제기될 것으로 보이며, 기존 경쟁력을 유지하려는 OS 사업자들의 가치사슬 통합 전략이 가시화되고 있는 환경이 목격된다. 또한, 클라우드 서비스 제공도 이미 이들 OS사업자들의 기존 생태계 유지를 위한 핵심 툴로 이미 활용되기 시작했다. 그럼에도 불구하고 HTML5와 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 방송통신사업자들에게 생태계 주도권을 탈환할 수 있는 중요한 기술로 인식되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이를 기반으로 세 가지 이용자 경험인 '경계 없는', '동질적인', '끊김 없는' 이용자 경험(User Experience) 제공을 위해 노력하는 선도적인 사례 탐색이 시도되었으며, 이를 통해 방송통신사업자들의 미래 스마트미디어 전략 방향이 도출되었다. '경계 없는' 서비스에서는 구글, 애플 외의 멀티OS 전략과 기존 OS의 앱 서비스 대항마인 아마존(Amazon), 페이스북(Facebook) 등과의 적극적 서비스 제휴, '동질적인' 서비스에서는 클라우드 기반 주요 콘텐츠 플랫폼 제휴와 방송통신 가입자 기반의 All-IP기반으로의 확대, 마지막으로 '끊김 없는' 서비스에서는 SNS, LBS, 가상현실 등과의 매쉬업(Mash-up)과 의료, 금융 등과의 융합서비스 개발을 통한 스마트홈 전략 추진, 인증 및 결제시스템의 개방화 등이 제시되었다.

  • This study conducted usability test to users in 20s in order to find problems for improving news apps of the major broadcasting companies. Efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction were evaluated by mobile news content type. Also there is including analysis of the news topics (hard news, soft news) and broadcasters (MBC, SBS). As a result, same problems were found in common items according to mobile news content types. And in the news topic, there was a difference in the news values and news attributes that need to be improved. This study gives practical implications to the news producers to improve the contents of news apps.

The Study on the User Behavioral Effects of Perception and Characteristics on the Common Essential Applications of Smartphones (스마트폰 공통 필수앱에 대한 이용자 인식과 특성이 이용 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted by the customer survey of 15 to 65 years old in order to identify the user behavioral effects of perception and characteristics on the common essential applications of smartphones with the United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Value-based Acceptance Model (VAM). As a result, it was found that performance expectancy, enjoyment, facilitating conditions, effort expectancy, and social influences, excluding information privacy concern, have a positive effect on use behavior. The moderating effect by age was found that the youth was higher between perceived value and behavioral intention, and the middle-aged was higher between enjoyment and perceived value. This study has significance in providing implications for establishing strategies on designing and pre-loading apps, and increasing usage rate.

User Needs and Uses of Mobile Services in Academic Libraries (대학도서관 모바일 서비스 이용자의 요구와 이용 분석 연구)

  • Academic libraries are trying to develop fully mobile web sites and mobile applications so that users can access to their services even using mobile devices. As the mobilization trends of library services increase in quantity, we need to more focus on what mobile services users want, ultimately for the growth with quality. This study seeks to explore users' needs and uses of mobile library services and then suggests solutions for improving the mobile services in academic libraries. This study conducted on and off-line surveys with 608 students from two universities, which have provided active mobile services with both a mobile web site and an application. The questionnaire was designed to elicit information on respondents' frequency of mobile library visit, the purpose of visit, the reason to use/not use, how to access to the services, the preferred types of the services, satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors, and urgently needed improvements. Based on the findings, this study discussed strategies to improve the quality of mobile services and to increase in users' visit.

  • 도로 이용자의 교통정보에 대한 수요 증가와 효율적인 도로 이용을 위해, 또한 지능형 교통체계(ITS, Intelligent Transport Systems)의 기본 기술로서 교통정보를 수집하여 제공하는 시스템에 대한 개발과 요구가 지속되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고속도로에서 가장 많이 사용하는 교통정보 수집도구인 차량감지기(VDS)를 활용한 교통 정보 수집 시스템에 관하여 조사하였다. 이러한 차량 검지기를 활용한 교통정보는 차량의 속도와 교통량을 산출하는 데에는 효율적이지만, 공사와 수집 장비 불량으로 인하여 모든 교통 정보를 수집하는데 어려움이 있다. 이로 인해 전체적인 교통상황을 파악하기 위한 새로운 시도와 알고리즘 개발이 요구된다.

  • Approximately 70% of smartphone users around the world use Android operating system-based smartphones, and malicious apps targeting these Android platforms are constantly increasing. Google has provided "Google Play Protect" to respond to the increasing number of Android targeted malware, preventing malicious apps from being installed on smartphones, but many malicious apps are still normal. It threatens the smartphones of ordinary users registered in the Google Play store by disguising themselves as apps. However, most people rely on antivirus programs to detect malicious apps because the average user needs a great deal of expertise to check for malicious apps. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to classify unnecessary malicious permissions of apps by using only the categories and permissions that can be easily confirmed by the app, and to easily detect malicious apps through the classified permissions. The proposed method is compared and analyzed from the viewpoint of undiscovered rate and false positives with the "commercial malicious application detection program", and the performance level is presented.

The classification of super app consumer for marketplace strategy - Focusing on the shopping orientations - (Super app marketplace 전략을 위한 소비자 유형화 - 쇼핑 성향을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to categorize consumers using super app functional characteristics to identify demographic differences, and analyze shopping orientations by consumer type. This data can be used by fashion and beauty companies for product planning and marketing strategies. To categorize super app consumers, data were analyzed with SPSS v.26.0 software using frequency, factor, reliability K-mean cluster, and distributed analyses, one-way-ANOVAs, and Scheffe verification. Cross-analysis was conducted to correlate super app consumer types with demographic characteristics. One-way-ANOVAs and Scheffe verification were used to analyze the differences in shopping preferences between super app consumer groups. As a result of our analyses, super app consumers were classified into four types: the ration type, the low-use type, the multifunction type, and the habit type. There were statistically significant differences between these types in age, occupation, marital status, average monthly household income, and shopping impact factors. Five super app user shopping orientations were identified: brand pursuit, pleasure pursuit, trend pursuit, risk perception, and economic orientation. The differences in the preferred orientation between super app consumer types were found to be statistically significant. The majority of respondents were multifunction type consumers. This group used the super app most frequently and effectively. They also demonstrated the highest scores for all five of the shopping orientations. The classification of consumer types in this study will allow the fashion and beauty industries to utilize super apps for more targeted product design and marketing.

A Study on the Continuous Use of Hospital Information Seeking Applications (병원정보탐색 어플리케이션의 지속적 이용에 관한 연구)

  • The present study aims to identify the factors that affect the continuous use and discontinuance of the hospital information seeking applications(hospital apps thereafter) by employing the post acceptance model. The surveys were conducted with people who used the hospital apps from October 11 to 18, 2019. Researchers collected 125 valid data and analyzed them by using the structural equation model. The study found that the satisfaction and confirmation of expectation for the hospital apps users had significant effects on intention for continuous use and perceived usefulness, respectively. However, the perceived usefulness did not have a significant effect on the intention for continue use. The present study has identified the variables that influence the continuous use of these innovative technologies. The findings of the study confirmed the post acceptance model by observing the adoption and use of the hospital apps and extended the literature of the post acceptance model by discussing the unique characteristics of the hospital apps that satisfy the urgent help-seekers under emergency situations or the information needs emphasizing promptness. In addition, based on the benefits and limitations of hospital apps reported by consumers, the study provided practical implications for designing more user-friendly apps to hospital app developers or managers.

The Effect of Hospital Mobile App Quality Factors on Users ' Continuous Use Intention: An Integrated Approach of Information Systems Success and Expectation-Confirmation Models (병원모바일앱 품질요인이 이용자의 지속이용의도에 미치는 영향: 정보시스템성공모형과 기대일치모형의 통합적 접근)

  • As information and communications technology-based "smart hospitals" and "digital healthcare" have become a hot topic in the healthcare field, hospital mobile apps are gaining attention; but, the utilization rate is low due to lack of publicity, unstable systems, and late updates. In this situation, systematic research is needed to increase the utilization rate of hospital mobile apps, but related research has been rare. Therefore, this study integrates the information systems success model (ISSM) from the technical perspective and the expectation-confirmation model (ECM) from the cognitive perspective to demonstrate the influence mechanism on the continuous use intention of hospital mobile apps. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted among 181 Korean adults who have used hospital mobile apps. The results of the structual equation modeling showed that most of the quality factors have significant effects on expectation confirmation, perceived usefulness, and satisfaction. Additionally, expectation confirmation significantly affects perceived usefulness and satisfaction, and both perceived usefulness and satisfaction significantly affect the continuous use intention of hospital mobile apps. This study is of importance in that it integrates the ISSM and ECM and applies them to the context of using hospital mobile apps, which are underutilized in the healthcare field, and provides practical implications for increasing the utilization rate of hospital mobile apps and operating effective and efficient services through the findings.
